Have you ever seen or been to one of those hole in the wall restaurants and wondered how this place is still open, based on the look of the building. Casey’s is on of those places and they only accept cash. I have been here a few times now with work and on my own. The building on the outside is very rundown and every time we go we wonder what part of the building is going to fall down next. Inside the restaurant is a little better. It’s a family run restaurant with pictures of the family all over the walls. Seating is kind of limited if you have a group of more than two. The tables are old dinner booths that sit two or four people. The menu here is a fairly decent size. I always get the catfish special with 2 sides. They do have frog legs which I want to try sometime. The sides are your typical fried fish sides; corn, red beans and rice, fried okra, etc. The cat fish is always hot and fresh on your plate. The portion sizes seem small when you get your plate, but once you start eating for me at least they are actually just right. Lastly, if you like fried pies they do have a good assortment of them here. I recommend trying this place for lunch if you have time and live in the area.

Very good catfish. They’ve been around for years. They’re always talking about retiring as its a family business. Will close for any reason any day(like lunch on Ash Wednesday… I made it just in time). CASHONLY!!!

If I did reviews based on nostalgia points, Casey’s would be a 5, but nostalgia is unfair. I like Casey’s, but I have had better catfish elsewhere(and closer). My sister loves it, though, and it’s pretty good food. Though, I would only really come here when with my sister. I wouldn’t go out of the way, myself. I liked the fries a bit more than I did the catfish, to be honest. Overall, though, for the price it’s a good trade.

So Casey’s has one major redeeming feature when it comes to food: It’s cheap. Cheap is good, of course, and when you combine cheap with unquestionably edible food, you’ve certainly met the basics. The catfish won’t win any awards with its standard cornmeal breading and fish so underseasoned you absolutely need the mustard served with it. Hush puppies are similarly standard. My two sides were actually way better, with a rich gumbo(dodge the bay leaf) and a competent beans and rice. The folks running the place are quite friendly, so no complaints there. But there’s cheap, and then there’s cheap. Cash only I can live with. Same for a parking lot in poor repair. But half the fountain dispensers straight up broken? Tables and chairs scratched and beat up beyond belief? Old vinyl blinds more than showing their age? It was a bit much for this snobby fellow. You can get away with whatever you want if the food is good enough. But without a must-eat menu option, it’s hard to overlook everything else. I’ll certainly eat here again if a coworker wants to, but I can’t say I’d seek it out in a town with way better catfish options.

I’ve been eating here for years and have never been disappointed. Best catfish, hushpuppies ect… in Oklahoma. Don’t let the building and décor fool you. Bring cash.

It’s not what it used to be a few years ago. The last time I ate there the fish tasted like it was the frozen pre breaded catfish, not the delicious juicy hand battered pieces I was used to getting.
