Dr. Kong has been taking good care of me for years! They are efficient and move me through fairly quickly if it is just a routine check up. My initial visit they took their time and I appreciated that. Most recently they decided to lessen the strength of my contacts, despite my objection, but I couldn’t be happierI All the optometrists appear to have recent schooling and are knowledgable and personable.
I saw another reviewer upset about having dilation. I have healthy eyes and on the occasion that I have requested to not to have my eyes dilated, they have fulfilled my request. I didn’t have the problem she had.

I chose this optometrist because it is literally a 60 second drive from my job and they were able to get me in next day. I hadn’t been here in four years so I had to fill out new patient paperwork and I distinctly checked NO to having my eyes dilated because (a) I had to go back to work (b) I hate having my eyes dilated and © it was $ 20 extra for dilation and I’m cheap. So they take me back within 5 – 10 minutes of being there and they do their little thing where they ask me if I can see the letters. No. I can’t. I’m blind. Then the doctor comes in and says «blah blah blah your eyes have gotten worse. I’m going to dilate them.» WTF. I specifically signed the form that says «I understand the importance of dilation but still wish to not have it done…» or whatever. So I let the guy do it because I figure he knows what he’s talking about and then I wait. And I wait. And I wait. And they’re playing country music THE WHOLE TIME. And I wait some more. And finally an hour later he comes back in and says «okay here’s your prescription.» Okay here’s my $ 94. Goodbye.
Whatever dude. Thanks for the new prescription and this random allergy eye drop RX that you told me nothing about and thanks for making me listen to TERRIBLE country music for over an hour. That’s my rant. I really like the doctor but I was sad about the $ 20 and my ears hated me the rest of the day. And the staff is kind of… iffy. But whatever. It is what it is.
