Office workers are great, Dr. Dimson not so much. Bedside manner is atrocious. She kept urging me to get on accutane, but after doing research didn’t think it was the best method for me.

This review is a long time coming. I’m writing it now, several years after being Dr. Dimson’s patient, since I look back at my experiences with many doctors over the years, and hers stands out as being the worst experience I’ve ever had with a medical professional. I saw Dr. Dimson for acne, and she was prescribing me accutane. Her bedside manner was not good. As an example, one day I came into her office about half way through my accutane treatment, and she looked up at me and said«Look at your face, you’re a mess!» Not exactly what someone struggling with acne needs to hear from their dermatologist… She was very dismissive of my concerns and called me a worry-wart. Accutane is a very harsh drug and has since been pulled off the market, so I think that my concerns were completely valid. One visit I asked a some questions about accutane and my response to the drug. She became very hostile and defensive and told me to find another doctor! She grabbed me by the arm and abruptly escorted me out of the office. It was a terrible terrible experience. All for having concerns about a treatment that has since been pulled off the market. It ended up being a blessing because shortly after I found Dr. Paul Gillum who was absolutely wonderful! Dr. Dimson told me on my first visit that she was the only dermatologist in OKC without a wait and she couldn’t figure it out. Well, I figured it out. She is the rudest most non-compassionate doctor I’ve ever met. Moreover, I think she must lack self-confidence, and this is why she becomes so defensive when you ask her questions. Bottom line — DONOT go to this doctor.
