Love the Edmond, OK location next to Charleston’s on 33^rd. Not sure why they don’t have a separate location page on Unilocal.I go for weekly blow outs and cuts and color. Yes, this is a hair school but with the awesome instructors like Shelly leading the way these students are on their way to a successful career in the industry. North location is located at:

Need a spontaneous cut or color & you don’t want to wait to get on the books for your regular hairdresser? Or maybe you don’t have a regular & you float around like me? Don’t be afraid because it is a school, they have highly experienced instructors supervising. A year ago I wanted a super short asymmetrical bob visited this place & got it! It was the best haircut I’d ever had. Went in a few weeks ago to get all over bleach on roots, amazing job done by their students. Weeks later not a hint of brassiness, very pleased with my color. One tiny downfall, you will be there for several hours depending on what you are getting done.

I went to this place with some reservations because after all it is a school, but I think it turned out okay for me. I would definitely recommend it for guys because its like $ 8 or something. For women it’s $ 10 which is a major steal and I would probably only recommend it for people that like trendier cuts. They seem to cut your hair like they have their hair cut so its good if you like the way their hair looks. I usually do so I’m game. The one bad thing you could say is that you get someone different every time you go it seems (that may also be because I get my hair cut one every 6 months or so :/​). But if you like your hair stylist, sometimes you can ask them for their info if they know where they are going to start working (which salon), although inevitably you will pay more when they are actually working. The only other downside is that it seems like my layers become «un-​blended» (if that makes sense) sooner than when I go to nicer (pricier) stylists which usually means I want to go get my hair cut sooner. Definitely worth trying out for $ 10!

Hmm… What can I say. It was actually a bit fun going to this «salon.» The students at this school cuts your hair so it might be a bit nerve wracking, but there are instructors around that will help out so it’s not that big of a deal and I managed to walk out okay lol. Since it is the students cutting the hair, the price is really cheap too.
If you’re the type that needs to have each of your hair cut exactly the way you want it otherwise you’re devastated, then go somewhere else. If you aren’t that picky, but still want a nice cut for a cheaper price, try it out.
