Very nice park to get a good overdue run in after eating and reviewing all of OKCs dining establishments on Unilocal! They have a lighted 1.5 mile trail so you can run early morning or at night. The running trail is also equipped with 3 aerobic stations. It is dog friendly and they also provide small trash bags and trash cans for when the inevitable happens with your pet. I really like the convenience of it, and the area, its not ghetto or anything. They also have 3 or 4 play ground sets for kids with covered picnic areas in case you were to plan an event.

I can only speak to the quality of the public track outside… did not use the fitness center. The track is paved with a marked center line to divide opposing directions of jogging/walking traffic. It was great weather for jogging, and I got 5k’s worth in. Plenty of shaded areas on the track for hotter, sunnier days. Ample parking and access points. Overall a great experience.

What a beautiful facility! We are new to the area and have been to a few other YMCA’s, but we just had to try this one out for open swim, since there is a water slide and nice kiddie pool. This review is ONLY for the aquatic center. Upon going into the aquatic center, the kids got right in. A lifeguard came up to the kids and started interrogating them about their age and other things. I came up to them and asked if everything was alright to which he replied«oh, I thought they were by themselves». Another lifeguard came up and told my youngest to get in and and tread water for 10 seconds. Oh okay, the swim test, that makes sense. But why are they treating me as if I’m not there? Both kiddos completed the swim test. We were swimming and having fun, noticed the slide was blocked off and asked when/if the slide would be turned on to which the female lifeguard replied«I’ll probably turn it on in a little while.» They did, begrudgingly, and shut it off after the kids went down one time! After a general all around rudeness from all of the lifeguard staff, we decided to leave. I told my son that it was time to get out, he didn’t understand why we were leaving so soon, then the bearded lifeguard looked at him and rudely said«c’mon, get out». What?! Excuse me, I can get my own children out of the pool. That was just enough to send me to the front desk. Either all the staff there were having a REALLY bad day, or that’s just the way they like to run things.

The Early Wine Park YMCA Is spacious, modern, clean, functional and the cardio and other equipment is really nice and new. I can’t speak to the free weights as I’m not a free weight type of guy. I go three times a week from 430−6pm, min/we’d/fri. I usually do 45 min on the treadmill and the rest on the weight machines. At the same time my oldest son is swimming non stop laps with the swim team there and my youngest daughter is in the excellent day care there. I’ve never not been able to find an open treadmill or been able to work through either the upper body or lower body weights due to a large crowd. Team activities are additional, entire family membership is just $ 48 per month! Includes pool and childcare! A super deal! They have many exercise classes and team sports, PLUS A REGULARPARENTSNIGHTOUTEVENINGDAYCARE the 2nd Friday of each month 6−11pm for only $ 12, and that includes dinner! A great value!

Professional and courteous staff were eager to show off the facilities and explain all the services provided. I toured other YMCAs in the Southern OKC area and this one stood out as being better for me and my family.

We are not members of the Y, but we signed our young son up for summer t-ball. What an unorganized mess. Because we aren’t members, it cost $ 65 plus $ 15 for a shirt. The paperwork said it was 9 weeks, but the director quickly shortened it to 6, then scheduled 8:15pm games for the 3– and 4-year-olds. Way too late for the little ones. Lots of teams no-showed games, and every single practice got canceled. So we played maybe 4 games, and the only thing that made it bearable was the awesome volunteer parent coach who was great with the kids and made the best of out of the Y’s disorganization. Most games we didn’t even have a t-ball stand and a first base. Ugh. We will not be signing up for any more sports leagues for quite a while.

Love it! Always enough parking, 1.5 mile track, and doggy potty bags available. Located right on 119 and May in the Westmoore area.

Clean facilities, offers a lot of activities. Way over priced. We were going to go here for our kids swim lessons, the costs were astronomical. The swim park just down the street(Earlywine Swim park) was a fraction of the price for what you get and we didn’t have to sign any membership contracts or pay any ‘auto paid’ monthly payments AND for the cost of the YMCA family membership(to just get the ‘discounts’ on activities) we were able to get a season pass to the water park where my kids can swim every day after their lessons! — I am disappointed in the YMCA, they used to be affordable and now their prices are so over the top that it just makes sense to go elsewhere.

A nice, well-equiped gym. There are tennis courts outside, and a jogging track that is about 1.5 miles around. Trees, and expansive grass field for soccer, etc. There are pavilions for events and a water part that opens in the summer. Good classes — zumba, yoga, spin, body pump, etc. The gym has a kids area too and then a basketball court, swimming pool, and kids/teen rec room. I want to especially review Kathy’s yoga class. I am infinitely grateful for the practice she offers at the gym I am infinitely grateful my Mom pays for(yay Moms). Anyways, Kathy has yoga classes on Tuesdays(6:30 pm), Thursdays(6:45 pm), and Sundays(1:15/1:45 pm), and everyone loves her because she is laid-back and confident. Her yoga class is relaxing yet challenging, and at the end of the hour, you feel as if she has guided you into a fabulous internal self-massage, so you walk away in that coveted yoga haze. Right now, Kathy’s yoga classes are the foundation of my yoga spiritual practice. On Sunday, there is a short«intro» class at 1:15 that is really amazing if it is your absolute first time in yoga. They have mats, blocks, and straps for you, but of course you are welcome to still bring your own. Also, I want to review the Zumba classes. Melissa, Rhonda, and LaRonda(I hope I’m not leaving anyone out) are AMAZEBALLS with high energy and fun choreography. There is a big mirror so you can check your fabulous self out as you dance, and I feel the women really encourage you to have a great time and to show some self-love to your body. Guys of course are welcome to come and love their bodies as well if they so wish.
