Great local feel. Lunch boxes galore. Amazing staff, great juke box and a nice place to get a cool buzz. You gotta come here if you have never been. One of my favorite spots in the city.

Everytime my wife and I go during happy hour aka day shift. The bartender will serve us our first drink and maybe two if we’re lucky, she’s usually paying more attention to the males at the bar. We waited more than 15, minutes today for another round of drinks, just two drinks. After she broke herself away from the males at the end of the bar she came to flirt with some one she seemed to have known personally. We were going to order another round or two but after waiting for more than 15 minutes we just went to the store to get stuff to make lunch boxes at home.

Ohhhhhhh the horror! Talk about getting drunk and not really knowing it. That is what the signature«Lunchbox» drink will do to you. Very hole in the wall but they are making improvements. I love this place and have been going for over 10 years now. Good times to be had everytime. Saturday’s are fun!

Let me start off by clarifying that under normal circumstances I would have not given this a 5 star rating. BUT… I feel that some of the reviews on here are a little harsh on the ratings. So let’s start with WHY I think a few of the ratings are a bit unfair. When someone mentions the name Edna’s the first thought in my head is «DIVEBAR». A well worn, unglamorous bar, that serves a cheap, simple selection of drinks to a regular clientele. Edna’s doesn’t try to be «The Republic Gastro Pub» or «The Piano Bar» of Classen Circle. It’s a DIVEBAR and they know it. I honestly think it’s part of their charm and it is why it draws so many people through their doors. Yes, the place is smoky and sometimes filled with meat head college guys and girls with sad life stories. BUT! There’s a BUT. It’s a fun pit stop on your way to wherever it is you’re going. Dummy Proof Plan For Enjoying The Edna’s Experience: Step 1: Throw all of your expectations away. Seriously. All of them. Step 2: Bring a group of friends. Don’t go alone. That’s just weird. Step 3: Order several rounds of lunch boxes. Step 4: People watch in between rounds. You’ll notice a lot of guys and girls with future regrets coming up in the next few hours. Step 5: Leave and grab a hot dog outside. They are amazeballs when you’re semi-tipsy. Voilà! Edna’s experience complete. You’re welcome.

It’s smokey and crowded, but one simply can’t live in OKC for long before having the obligatory Lunchbox at Edna’s. And if you don’t know what one is, google it! Clue: it may be your lunch but you shouldn’t be going back to work! Edna’s has a somewhat odd setup, but if the weather is nice there is a lovely outdoor seating option. Be warned! If you have never been here, it is tricky, especially if you are coming southeast on NW Expressway. There is no way to turn left, and you are forced to go straight and will end up on the highway(I-44). You have to come at it from the back.

We stopped into Edna’s on a recent trip to OKC. It’s a cool bar with attentive and friendly bartenders and patrons. Drinks are reasonably priced and they do allow smoking which to me is a bonus. The only complaint that I have and it’s not against Edna’s is getting into the parking lot. If you use a GPS to find it the GPS will show that it is on N Classen Blvd. and not on 5137 N Classen Cir. which when trying to get there at night can be a chore if you are not familiar with the area.

Neat little dive bar. Dollar bills stapled all over the place commemorating people’s visits. It was our first time this weekend, and they made us feel very welcome. The Lunchbox was a surprisingly good drink, and I am definitely not a drinker.

This is by far my favorite bar in OKC. Cheap drinks, great staff. This place is a total dive, but that’s why I love it. You occasionally have to deal with some shady characters, but that’s kind of part of what makes it fun. We really love this place! Their happy hour is where it’s at.

It is what it is, a nice dive bar with cheap drinks. If in OKC the ‘Lunchbox’ has to be sampled, surprisingly not bad. I would probably return but the smokey atmosphere is somewhat annoying but that’s pretty much all OKC bars

You can’t go wrong with a famous lunchbox! The bartenders are cool, and the drinks are cheap and strong. Expect to wait in a line outside on weekends though!

This bar is a total dive. It’s gross and the bathrooms are in bad shape. They are known for their Lunchbox, which is 90% a mixture of beer and orange juice. I wouldn’t recommend coming here.

A nice dive bar with their own brand of lunchbox flavored chapstick. I went to Edna’s with a group of people and all in all, had a great time. The place was pretty busy and I was still able to easily get a drink whenever I wanted one. The lunchbox was good. I didn’t think it was anything super special though. The patrons were all nice and the bartenders were fun and talkative. The place is sort of on a weird spot. I’m fairly new to OKC so I’m getting to know this area a little better. It’s hard for me not to compare it to the two of the other bars in this area. Speakeasy, Drunken Fry, and Edna’s seem to be a bit of a trifecta of diverse bars that I think I’ll enjoy visiting again. I’ve only been to them each one time. The ambiance at Edna’s was pleasant. A bit smokey, but that’s to be expected. The drink selection wasn’t bad. A bit better over at Drunken Fry. The décor was OK. Not as nice as Speakeasy. And pretty small too. The smallest of the three. I’ll definitely be back to Edna’s.

I am really not much of a bar hopper — I’d rather go chill somewhere that’s not packed shoulder-to-shoulder, as Edna’s often is on the weekends — but when I do go out, I enjoy Edna’s. I’m surprised by the harsh reviews here. It is a very college atmosphere, but during the week or outside of peak hours, I think it’s a great little dive bar. Famous for the lunch boxes, and they’re pretty good. Bartenders are usually friendly and I don’t think the prices are bad.

A little challenging to find with Siri, but we made it. Edna’s is an ordinary dive bar with cheap beer, TVs, music and space to hang. Can’t say it was bad, but it certainly was not memorable. One item I did not like was that when we sat down and ordered, but bartender pushed a «house special» drink on us, even though we just wanted a traditional beer(Coors Light). Well we took two sips and said we did not like it and wanted what we originally ordered. She brought the beer, but when we cashed out, she made us pay for the crap drink that she pushed! Since it was only a $ 1.50, we did not put up a fight about it, but needless to say — no tip for you babe.

My friend took me here and I loved it. We went on a Tuesday, so it wasn’t crowded. It’s a dive bar with very little seating. Expect people to smoke here, but it’s not as bad as other places I’ve been to. The entire place is covered with dollar bills. The bartenders are friendly. The lunchbox is a must try. It’s absolutely delicious!!! The only thing I disliked about this place is the ladies restroom. There’s only one stall without a lock on the door. Like why???

This review is by no means a knock on Edna herself. I’ve met her and she is a peach. This review is solely about the establishment. I believe, that at one time, Edna’s was a fine place to have some drinky drinks at, but it has become so overrun with dudebros and classless ladies… I just really don’t know how to say anything positive about the place. Sure, I enjoy their lunchboxes, but I don’t enjoy drinking them in the middle of a group of 21 year old college juniors that are screaming obscenities and chest bumping every person within an arm’s reach. It’s just pure obnoxiousness inside of Edna’s, to the point that it upsets me. I just can’t handle the place and only end up here when friends just have to have that elusive lunchbox. With all that being said, I have to firmly say no to Edna’s. No. No. No.

Edna’s is a good stop when you want to gear up for the night. When romping around Classen/Western areas, Edna’s is usually the first stop in the evening in my group of friends. Why? Any later than 10, and the place packs out. I can’t tell you how many times we have driven past Edna’s late at night and seen a long line winding its way into the parking lot. The lunchboxes really are that yummy, so definitely try one when you have a chance. Just don’t plan on spending all night sipping lunchboxes if crowds, smoke, and early 20’s kids aren’t your thing.

Edna’s, you’re a little rough around the edges. I can sort of understand why people dig the place. A group of us went bar hopping on a Saturday night. Edna’s was our first stop and we nabbed a table. A lot of baseball fans were out to watch the Red Sox. Some people looked like they were getting their pre-downtown-party drink on. We left before it got crowded. The boo gave me a little intro prior to arrival… All the money that is attached to the walls serves as her retirement fund. You can write on the money you donate. Some bills looked super moldy gross because of discoloration or whatever. Of course, there is also the Lunchbox. Tastes sweet, not much booze to it. Eh, nuff said. Upon walking in, I didn’t think it was very smokey. That was until I walked out. I smelled like Courtney Love looks. I’m sorry if I offended you Edna…
