Empire Strikes

I’ve been to all of the comic book shops in OKC and this is by far my favorite. Although they are fairly small, they usually have what I want. The shopkeep/​owners are very friendly and knowledgable. It feels good to support a small local business. They don’t have that stereotypical comic book geek pretentiousness that can turn people away. I am relatively new to reading comics and just came by to grab the new issues of Saga, I ended up leaving with a signed 1^st issue of Saga, Black Science, The Wake, East of West and several others that I have loved and followed religiously ever since.
They have great deals on pulls and they send a newsletter via email of new issues weekly. The prices are always reasonable. Definitely check this out, even if you don’t know much about comics/​graphic novels they will hook you up!

I don’t visit the shop as often as I like (I am ashamed at how behind I am with my reading), but this is the only comic book shop I would go to in OKC.

What a neat little comic book store! The family that owns this shop are super helpful and friendly. They had a great selection of comics and a nice display of local art. It is a little difficult to find, but some of the best places are. If you are looking for something specific they can help you out. It is pretty obvious they are passionate about comics.

This place is a hidden gem. The only downside is that it is hidden. If my friend hadn’t told me about it, I would have never known even though I only live down the street and sometimes eat next door.
The shop is small but has everything you want, especially if you’re just looking for new stuff. They has a great variety in genres. The biggest thing is that the owners are awesome, very helpful as wonderfully friendly. I’ve gone multiple times to look around without buying anything and they are still just as nice even when I’m not spending money.

This place is very tucked away, but it’s next to my house, clean, and carries what I need.
Because it’s so new and small, there’s only so much they can carry, so don’t come in expecting a huge selection of back issues. The owner, Brian, is very knowledgable and can talk comics all day with you if you have the time.
This isn’t my main shop, but it’s good in a pinch and I’m all for supporting them. Spread the comic shop love.
