There’s a persistent connection between restaurants with a rustic appearance and great food, and this one fits the stereotype. The place is somewhat cramped, but the staff excels at customer service. We had breakfast; the portions were generous and Drew Carey would approve of the prices. This beats Golden Corral, Jimmy’s Egg, and the Waffle House by light-years — we will definitely go back.

This place has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in OKC! The interior and exterior are old and run down but the food will keep you coming back! I discovered this restaurant after reading about it in the newspaper and I’m so thankful that I did. The pork chops are by far my favorite! You can get it cooked a variety of ways but fried is the best! The seasoning is one of a kind! The house blended iced tea is another unique thing about Florence’s. It has an orange flavor and very addicting! Lunch time is very crowded. I would say between 11:00am — 2pm are their peak hours on weekdays. There are times when I can barely find a table. The restaurant is very small and there are usually only two waitresses working at any given moment so it can take a while to get your orders taken and your checks delivered. I’ve brought several friends to dine here with me and they have all raved about it! This is truly a gem in OKC!

We had a great breakfast here today, potatoes excellent! Staff super friendly. Doesn’t look like much outside and the area. But great little place.

Stumbled upon this amazing place today. Gave it a try and will definitely be going back. Let’s just put it this a way: 2 of us ate for $ 17 even. Between 2 people with a meal made from scratch and great service normally would run us $ 40+. The meal included a savory Tuesday special of chicken fried steak 3 sides each and all you can eat sweet cornbread. Not to mention they have plenty of non-alcoholic beverages to choose from. We also met the owners while we were there. They were very friendly and hospitable. We eat out ALOT and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat great soul food!

I decided to give this place a try since I struck out at Family Affair. I walked in expecting a restaurant that was similar to Affair, but that wasn’t what I got. I stayed anyways and ordered the catfish basket. The food was alright and the service was great. I just thought the price was a little high for the small amount of food they gave me.
