Awesome brats with very creative toppings. I suggest you ask the vendor to make you a surprise! Just specify if you like or don’t like spicy food.

Erh. Mah. Gawd. Frank’s Wurst is so amazing. I tried the location inside the 51st Speakeasy Friday night and I’m not sure I’ll ever be the same. I mean, you can get hot Cheetos as a brat topping #saywhat? #micdrop The staff in the window were nice and helpful — and they even brought our food out to us on the patio. I tried the Green Chili Burger special — it did not disappoint. It was juicy and flavorful. My friend had the regular brat with mustard and kraut and she loved it. We also shared the kimchi fries. Ya’ll, they. were. so. good. The kimchi was pungent and delicious, the bulgogi beef extra tasty, and the sriracha and avocado on top made it. The Speakeasy is pretty much my favorite bar, and now I love it even more.

I love bratwurst! I have been craving Best Wurst in Austin for awhile. I was so happy to try Frank’s Wurst. They have all of my favorite brat toppings mustard, kraut and grilled onions. Mmm! It made my night that they have a house recipe for curry ketchup and horseradish mustard which were both great. The brat was perfectly grilled. To top it all off the owner is a great guy and true music fan not to mention very handsome too. I will be back soon.

My husband and I ate at this wonderful hot dog stand on Friday at h&8 night. We always look for them at h&8 night. They have the best bratwurst dog around and their toppings are great. Our favorite is the habanero cream cheese with jalapeños and onions. The best thing is that toppings are not extra unless you want something extra special like cheese or chili. We will definitely be back again.

I can’t believe how long it took me to get to try @FranksWurst — actually, I can, because it’s so popular, usually by the time I get to events, Frank’s line is down the block. He moves quickly though, so no need to let the line scare you off. I ordered the perfectly cooked bratwurst, with caramelized onions, a super soft bun and my new favorite condiment — curry ketchup. Every bite was delicious and I loved getting to enjoy my brat with a tasty Roughtail brew. Finally, the guy running the cart,(not named Frank but I bet he answers to it at this point) is a really good guy. Ardent supporter of local music, local craft brew, and a talented and promising young entrepreneur in our local food scene. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Kody and his kart.

Unlike a certain Patrick, I have had very little bratwurst in my day, and a lot of what I did eat was bad.(I’m sensing another culinary expedition in my future to fill that gap.) Regardless, let me be frank: Frank’s Wurst has some of the best wurst and fantastic franks, with top-notch toppings to top off the the frank. The toppings really make a difference, as they’re not just your traditional ketchup/cheese, etc., but they’re also relatively subtle flavors that don’t overpower the taste of the meat itself. Honey bacon sauce was too tempting to pass up, but my brief taste of the curry ketchup proved I’d have been happy with that option as well. Definitely a winner and a great food cart option for the city.

As far as franks and brats go, Frank’s Wurst can’t be beat. With creative, delicious sauces such as bacon honey and jalapeño cream cheese along with fun toppings like hot cheetos and pork rinds, this food truck offers a fresh take on a typical hot dog or brat. I couldn’t hardly choose which sauce or toppings I wanted because they all sounded so great! I ended up getting a brat with the bacon honey and grilled onions. Top notch. I’m excited to try more of the combinations and for the price of $ 4, you will agree that it’s worth every penny.

So, Frank is pretty damn good at his job. After chatting with him a little, he’s also a pretty damn cool guy. I got to try one of Frank’s bratwurst at the 1 Year Anniversary at Roughtail Brewery. He was just chillin out back, doing his thing. After much debate, the Missus and I settled on a bratwurst with honey bacon sauce and topped with grilled onions. Let me say this first. I’ve literally grown up on bratwurst. My family is German, so bratwurst was a once or twice a week dinner… sometimes lunch… and yep, I’ve even eaten brats for breakfast… a lot of breakfast, actually. In saying that, Frank’s combination of sauces and other toppings with the overall quality of the bratwurst is quite impressive. And honestly, the $ 4 price point doesn’t bother me at all. I eat at places that cost 10x as much, so $ 4 is cheap… in my honest opinion. As of right now, it’s my favorite food truck in the city.(Well, food cart is more accurate I suppose.) It’s worth a taste, especially for those of you that don’t eat bratwurst on the regular like I do

I got to check out Frank’s during one of Mustang’s tastings/tours, because dogs go great with beer. It’s just the man, Frank, runnin’ his business, and he does a damn good job of it. You can get either a regular hotdog or a wurst(both of which are good choices), and a handful of toppings you probably won’t find at most hotdog vendors. I personally enjoyed the cream cheese/shroom sauce with grilled onions. $ 4 is a little steep to me for a dog, so best advice I can give is pile it high and make it worth it.

This is the best food cart in town. It’s also the best brats and smoked meat in town. I look this guy up and follow him all over town. His sauces and toppings are flavorful and adventurous. Find him on facebook and look for him out sometime, you won’t be sorry.

The curry ketchup is a stroke of genius! A dog lover’s wonderland… Can’t wait for the ‘Jack-Pump Sammich.’
