The floor plan is very messy and unorganized. Some of the new workers are not helpful. It used to be a nice clean store, I wish management would get things under control. I love Gamestop but I dread going to the Midwest City store.

It is so cute when poorly trained staff know they’re supposed to upsell me on things I don’t want, but haven’t quite figured out how to pull it off. At the end of the day, I see one very legitimate reason to patronize a place like this: If your budget doesn’t allow you to purchase new games and equipment, this is a reasonable option to buy used stuff but keep the guaranteed workability that comes with buying from a corporation. Although Amazon is making inroads into selling refurbished and used items, so even that benefit to Gamestop may not hold true for much longer. Other than that, I don’t see a reason to come here. It’s not particularly different from most other Gamestops, where you’ll have one awesome, knowledgeable and friendly employee out of every five you come across. I’ve had a lot more luck finding the other four.

I went into this store today to pick up a specific iPhone case and a couple of XBOX live cards for my teenagers. I thought the guy that was there was really great. He was super personable and easy to talk to. I was standing in line behind a guy who was asking a lot of questions and the cashier was very helpful and patient with him which helped maintain the light cheerful mood of the store. A lot of times if a cashier acts impatient or annoyed, customers feed off that and then you end up with a store with a tense atmosphere that you don’t want to shop in. I have to comment on the other review that was on here… personally I am not one to play the XBOX or other game consoles but I DO play WOW… and I have never ran into any Game Stop employee at any of the three stores that I frequent who has used their gamer tag or Wow name, lol. I think it is very personable when they can relate to the games that you play and can give tips or tell you things you may not have known. I had to actually chuckle at one guy at a different GameStop store when I was calling around to see what iPhone cases they had. He described the Wow ones as ‘a blue one with what looks like a lion face?” and I said«Oooo! that’s the Alliance flag, and I bet the other one is black with red on it right?» and he laughed and said ‘Yep! Sorry, forgive me I don’t play Warcraft” and I said«no worries, in the future those are the Alliance and Horde flags» LOL… but I was a little amazed that he didn’t know what they were and he worked at a gamers store, lol. Moral of my story is… it is the same as a comic book store, or a vintage book store… you SHOULD have employees who are passionate about what they are selling… so why would you not expect to get people who play game consoles or Wow at Gamestop? LOL I thought this store was the best GameStop I have been to yet. Yes, prices are high — but usually you have to make sure the product manufacturers are pricing things fairly… not so much GameStop.

Okay, first of all I DESPISE Game-Stop as a corporation. First, the turnover at this store is extremely high, so it’s almost impossible to establish a repoire as a customer. Second, I think it’s because they hire people that are mentally unstable, or geeky/nerdy beyond socially acceptable standards.(I.E., body-odor, strange conversations, asking wierd questions about what phone you have, and referring to themselves by their internet screennames/WoW character names.) They will totally rape you on game trade-in’s, and then resell them for $ 5 less than new, which peeves me beyond belief. I do not buy anything new from this store, and I never buy anything used that is over $ 15-$ 20, because I know I’m getting shafted otherwise. I do not like this place, but I go there to get older games for super cheap every once in a while. Craigslist is the new hotness for getting newer titles used on the cheap anyways.
