I had lunch with the guys from my office at Hobby’s on a Wednesday. We arrived around 12:15 and it was nearly empty, although there was a steady stream of people filing in throughout our lunch. The place is larger than it looks and there’s plenty of seating. It has the typical menu sandwich menu options, but also offers pizzas and spaghetti, in addition to a line of Philadelphia steaks. I went with the steak philly cheesesteak hoagie on my first visit which comes with lettuce, tomato, pickles, peppers, onions, and cheese. The peppers are in the form of a cherry pepper relish on top. I added mayo, as I was worried it would be dry with no sauce, but it wasn’t needed. I also got a side of potato salad. It look less than 10 minutes to get our order out(we had 5 people eating). The 7 inch sandwich isn’t enormous, but it was more than sufficient for lunch. The bread is soft yet firm enough to stand up to the messy sandwich. The beef was VERY juicy and flavorful. I was impressed, it was better than I was expecting. The cherry pepper relish was good, but not nearly hot enough for me. I could definitely use some more spice in this sandwich. I’d also like a better distribution of the ingredients. The steak/cheese/onion mixture, which delicious, sort of settled in the bottom half of the sandwich. The top half was basically veggies and the relish. A couple of guys at the table got Italian subs, which looked great. I would try this hoagie on a future trip. The potato salad was a smaller serving for the price($ 1.69). However, it was clearly homemade. I would have liked a little more dressing and a LOT more seasoning. This badly needed some salt and pepper. That being said, the potatoes and egg in the salad were cooked well. I’d order it again, but likely doctor it up some to add some flavor. Hobby’s is a solid joint, I think the prices for the sandwiches were fair and the couple of employees I encountered were very friendly. Also, the water cups aren’t tiny, which I appreciate. Due to the seasoning and sandwich construction issues above, I’ll rate this place at 3 stars, but it’s very close to 4. I’ll absolutely return.

Really good. The buns are the best part. Service is good. Philly Cheesesteaks are all I’ve had so far but looking forward to trying out lunch specials they are affordable especially for downtown.

Whether you get the Philly, Reuben, BLT, Pizza, or Salad, you will not be disappointed. Everything I’ve had from Hobby’s has been deeelicious! This is my go-to place at work 1) because they deliver and are FAST and 2) because the food is freaking fantastic and 3) if there has been a problem with my order, they have always been quick to resolve the issue. Highly recommend!

I’m sorry I have had so many better hoagies at multiple locations. The Grilled cheese used white American cheese, which has the flavor of plastic. I have not tried the Philly’s yet but the regular sandwiches such as the Italian are pretty boring as well. Where’s the Oil and Vinegar? And no Mayo or Mustard or anything? If I have to ask for those then it’s not a good sandwich shop. Also, the bread is about the most flavorless bread I have ever eaten. Sorry folks, if you’ve been anywhere else in the country, Seattle, San Fran, or even Portland you have been able to experience really good fresh baked artisinal bread and sandwiches that are loaded with flavor. So far I’m not impressed. I will go back just to be fair and try the pizza and the Philly’s but I’m not expecting much.

A friend had to wait a little to long for his food but they were nice enough to give him his food and his money back. The food was pretty good, I dont usually like pizza buuut it was pretty dang good. If it weren’t for the wait time we would’ve agreed on 5 stars.

Great Deli Shop in the Downtown area of OKC. Had the Pastrami on Rye and the meat was sliced thin to WIN. Lots of flavor and the bread was fresh and thick slices. Sides were small but I enjoyed the Macaroni Salad. Will come again !

First time here. I found it because a business had directed new to it. I had the roast beef hoagie and I was not disappointed. They made it exactly How I wanted it and the roast beef was nice and tender. Well worth it to cone back again for lunch.

Went here over the weekend for the first time in a few months. Ordered a Philly Cheese Steak. It was good, not quite what I was expecting though. Not too crazy about the spicy tomato relish type thing they put on it. I’m rating it four stars however just because everything else I’ve ever had here has been very enjoyable. My friends and I will sometimes just stop by to get something sweet while we are out running around downtown. Definitely worth checking out!

I think by now every one in the OKC knows I’m from the Philly area or know how much I’ve been dying for a hoagie similar to back home. The search has been a struggle. Well I ordered the basic Ham hoagie with the pickles(yuck), «Philly» Steak Supreme hoagie with a side of fries. The ham hoagie wasn’t bad & the have like a spice tomato relish on it which was a nice kick in flavor. Now the«Philly» Steak Supreme was a slight let down and where points were lost because it comes with White American cheese instead of a traditional Mozzarella or even the staple Cheese Wiz sauce. It was decent, but the cheese makes a huge difference with me. Price wasn’t bad on the hoagies, they offer Krimpets for my PA lovers, & have a minor deli section where they sell Boar’s Head meats. A great surprise is that they sell beer as well which I’ll have to be back to dine in & enjoy the atmosphere. But for now they have my temporary vote as a hoagie spot to become a regular for in the city.

I’m from Salt Lake City so I chose to try Hobby’s Hoagie based solely off reviews here and I wasn’t disappointed. $ 8 for a 7inch turkey sub and side salad. Fresh ingredients and a spicy sub sauce instead of mayo or mustard. Even the balsamic dressing I got for the salad seemed house made and was delicious. Id definitely visit again and chose it over somewhere like Subway. Solid sandwich

Hobby’s Hoagies wins on most every level that matters to me. [] Level 1: Taste [] It tastes good. It tastes really good. The cheesesteak at Hobby’s is by far the best cheesesteak I’ve had in Oklahoma City. This is not to suggest that it’s Philadelphia-quality, but it’s closer than anyone else has gotten thus far(at least here in OKC). Well, the authentic Philly cheesesteak doesn’t add anything beyond onions and cheese whiz and the bread is a little different, so Hobby’s differs in those elements, but the meat, and cheese is solid in terms of quality. I will be back many to try some of the other sandwiches, and I’m equally excited to try Hobby’s pizza as well. [] Level 2: Price [] Considering the location, I was expecting the food to be more expensive. But I think I spent more the last time I was in a Subway. I thought there were more levels… Guess not.

No love for the hoagies huh? I think they’re pretty good, but I can only attest to the Italian version. I enjoy the the thinly sliced iceberg lettuce, olive tapenade, meat/cheese all stuffed into a french(or Italian?) bread/roll. The bread is perfect! Also, the pizzas are pretty tasty. Thin crust, crispyish and pretty cheesy. Bonus points for: Catering! They’ve allowed me the option to order the Philly sandwich deconstructed so that my co-workers can build it how they like. Tip– eat the hoagies right away. The bread tends to get soggy. If you plan to eat it later, opt to get the dressings on the side.

This is the second time I’ve eaten here for lunch and the sandwiches have been great both times! I had the Philly cheese steak first and then the California club! Service was pretty quick the first time and really slow today. My club sandwich took the same time to make as the pizza that the people in front of my ordered. It was so good once it got here though that I quickly forgot!

I ordered food and waited an hour for delivery. OFCOURSE I gave them the address, but they went to a different Sheraton. Finally, I called and they told me they wouldn’t deliver to Midwest City(I am 5.9 miles away) and they were incredibly rude. Not even an apology from the staff.

For a dish as simple as a Chicken Caesar Salad they serve the chicken piping hot and it is browned and spiced very deliciously! It’s cool that you can write on the walls of the interior of the building. It’s a short walk from museums and downtown companies. I was hapily suprised :)

The chicken philly is still as good as I remember. I used to work downtown and loved these things. I haven’t been here in a couple of years since we moved our office and I despise going downtown, but I had a hair appointment nearby and was starving so I stopped in. I honestly can’t recall ever having any other sandwich here. I fell in love with the chicken philly and never ordered anything else, except the Italian ice which is amazing, but unfortunately I couldn’t get today. I’m still unclear as to why. I asked if they still had them and at first she said they didn’t have them anymore, but then she said«well, we still have them but we’re out». Whatever. I wasn’t in the mood to get clarification, I just ordered a fountain drink. The service is the same as before… «Meh».

With free Wicked tickets in our hands and the wind in our hair, my friends and I needed an inexpensive dinner within walking distance of the Civic Center. Cue Hobby’s Hoagies. I opted for the turkey sub that came with salami and provolone along with their standard toppings(lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, oils, spices, and Hobby’s Special Hoagie Peppers). All of this comes on a delicious homemade Italian roll, of course. It came out fairly quickly, looking fresh and tasting great. Guys, I’m a sucker for legit subs like Jersey Giant(in Michigan) or Jersey Mike’s(everywhere), so it’s saying something when I tell you they have by far the best sub of its kind in the city. The place was clean, the service was nice and quick and I spotted some slices of cake, cupcakes, chips, beer, and even some jars of their Hoagie Peppers if your sandwich is lonely. Did I mention the outdoor seating that other customers were making look oh-so-inviting? Or that I curse myself once a week for not getting a jar of peppers? Yea, I’ll be back.

I haven’t given this place 5 stars yet, mainly because I’ve only tried the pizza. What I love about this place is they make a really mean thin-crust. A definite must try. I’ll post again once I try the sandwiches. Very pleasant staff too!
