Hosted my boyfriends surprise birthday dinner here last night. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Considering we had people trickling in over the 2.5−3 hours we were there and didn’t order food for at least 2 hours. The food was exquisite. I had the seafood pasta. Angel hair pasta with shrimp, crab, and scallops. My 3 favorite kinds of seafood! The wait for food wasn’t too bad but I had friends to occupy me from my growling belly. My best friend had the sachmos salmon on the recommendation of our waitress. She doesn’t like salmon but she practically cleaned her plate. Everyone else downed their food with zero complaints. The margaritas were tasty but a little expensive for how much you get. I recommend the platinum margarita. Thank you Jazmo’z for the great birthday evening and thanks for putting up with my boyfriends drunkenness.

The appetizers we ordered were ok but the meals were terrible. The service was very good, but I would never eat there again.

Good food, it was a Wednesday night and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. I sat at the bar and tried one of the local beers. The food came out quickly. I ordered the salmon and it was superb. Service was great. Came second time — sat at the bar, pretty nice place. Tried Bourbon St Special — it was awesome!

Nice little place to eat at before the baseball game. In the mood for Red Beans and Rice. Not a regular meal on menu but on the sides menu. WHAT? So they gave me a bowl. Alright, all is good with the world. Speaking of good, good beans and rice. My buddies had the étouffée and shrimp gumbo. Both were really good also. We had a great waitress. Service was good and quick. Everything as a whole was good. I Recommend.

Stopped here for lunch for the first time. Got the Chicken Bön Ton with garlic mashed potatoes. This comes with shrimp and shredded crab meat on top and I ate it all even though I don’t particularly like shrimp or crab. It’s served in a sauce that tasted good but could have had some more flavor. Sat on the patio and it was nice, shady and cool even in 96 degree weather. All the staff were very nice and accommodating, although I was there at a particularly dead time. There were only a handful of others in the restaurant. I didn’t try any desserts but might go back for a slice of key lime that they recommended. Can’t beat the scenery and cool ducks walking around on the patio. I sat so close to the canal I could have high fived the people on passing river taxis. The prices aren’t bad at all, especially when you order from the lunch menu which are smaller portions. Mine was enough to fill me.

Our server was fantastic! However they only gave us one server for a table of 30 people that had multiple bills. He did the best he could and the management didn’t seem to want to help.

Good location and great service. Food wasn’t the best if your looking for Cajun. Great wait staff and hostess, food was a bit disappointing.

Went here as a group of six to celebrate my graduation. We had a reservation, it didn’t take long to get sat. However, it took FOREVER to get our drinks. It was very frustrating. 2 of our party of six got their drinks after ten minutes, then the rest of them took another almost ten. Our server said the bar was busy, but we were sitting by the bar and drinks were rolling out, so we weren’t sure how only half of our ticket sold. Appetizers took forever, and food took even longer. Thankfully we were celebrating and were enjoying each other’s company and weren’t in a hurry, but it was still frustrating. The food was decent. Not great. But the atmosphere was nice and you can’t beat being right on the canal.

Husband and I were in town for a medical conference and thought we’d give the place a shot since it had tables on the canal. What once was probably a great restaurant seems to be heading down the road of disappointment rather than pleasant experience. My husband was brought the wrong beer/size straight from the beginning. He asked for a 22oz shock top but what they brought was dark colored and a 16 oz. He asked the waitress if she was sure it was a Shocktop and she guaranteed it, she did apologize for the size and stated she was new. I asked for 3 different drinks to be made virgin(because the menu says that they will make them virgin, I’m pregnant)…she came back each time finally saying the bar tender stated they cannot make virgin drinks… whaaat? then why offer them? The apps were delicious. My husband tried their oysters and we shared the gator bites. Gator bites were close to what I’ve had in FL and New Orleans. Discussing dinner was interesting. We asked about the shrimp and grits because I saw the Unilocal posts from just days before our visit of people ordering it… plus it’s on their menu on the website. It’s Not however on the physical menu and we were told they don’t make it. As with the virgin drink explanation… very confusing and disappointing. So we went with the Chicken Bön Ton and Seafood Sauté. Both were done nicely and we enjoyed it. During dinner my drink was never offered to be refilled or even refilled when we asked. My husband was finally brought a correct Shocktop 22oz and it was definitely a shocktop that time… but it was brought at the End of dinner??? So he didn’t get to enjoy it with his meal. Our poor waitress seemed overwhelmed. She offered us boxes for leftovers but after 15 mins we had to track someone down to get her. When she came to our table she seemed confused and then said«oh your check, right» and walked away. *palm to face*…guess we didn’t want to ask about dessert. She brought the check but no boxes. So we politely asked again. All in all I wish I would have read more reviews because what seems like a neat place was not worth the money we spent. We wish we would have gone to the steakhouse or ribs place instead.

We really wanted to like this place. The service and atmosphere were the best parts of our experience; live jazz music, clean restaurant, in Bricktown, and a great ambiance. The food was awful. There is nothing cajun about Jazmo’z. We ordered fried gator as an appetizer, that was actually pretty good. For main dishes, I had the shrimp and grits, and my fiancé had the crawfish étouffée. My fiancé took two bites of the crawfish étouffée and couldn’t even finish it. He is not a picky eater. Sadly, we will not be back.

Had the rice n beans as an appetizer. My wife and I both thought it was outstanding. I had grilled chicken Fettuccini. The sauce wasn’t heavy like most white sauces. The chicken was grilled perfectly. My wife had the tilapia special. She said it was incredible as well. The asparagus was the best she has ever had. Chris was an awesome waiter. Will definitely make the trip from Tulsa just to come here again.

Not a bad joint. I am starting with the alligator bites and they are good. The sauce was also very complementary. The blackened catfish was very tasty. The sauce on top was just the right spice level with the fish itself. I will be willing to try it again next time i am in town. The parking across the street is also validated when you eat there. Staff is kind and stayed on top of my drink level, which is always important to me.

Very disappointed! Looks like the masses«might» have been right, about the 3 star avg. rating. I had to drop it down a star. We went to Jazmo’s the day before Valentines day(13 Feb 16) for dinner. We were lucky to get a waiter, who’s first day on the job was that day. Yikes! For the appetizers I got(2) orders of the Oysters Baton Rouge. From my last review I mentioned that they give you entirely too much cheese, so I learned my lesson. I told the waiter, lite on the cheese. When they came out they were much better, than before. For the dinner, the wife ordered the Mixed Grill and I got the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. While waiting, we noticed the couple next to us who also got the Mixed Grill first, (hint: why my wife got it) complaining to the waiter that her steak wasn’t cooked the way she liked it, I guess it was still pink in the middle. A few min, later the manager came out and asked if there was anything that they could do to fix it? She said another Lobster(lol) and she got another Lobster. Fast Fwd to our(my) situation… So our food comes out, looking good! I wanted to say, damn baby! I took a bite of my chicken, mannnn! That had to be the driest chicken that I ever had at a restaurant. It was to the point that my jaw was hurting. I said, ok let me try another piece. Same thing! So when our waiter came by, he asked if everything was good and I told him that my chicken was super dry! He said that he will talk to the Manager and a Manager will be over shortly. Shortly passed and turned into 10 – 15 min. The waiter came back asking if I wanted something else(no manager)? I told him nah, just take it off the bill! My wife said that her food was good. She was feeling sorry for me, so she gave me her lobster tail, I ate it and that was dry too! It was like it was under the broiler too long. I still ate it tho, because I was hungry. The waiter comes back with the check, and says he took it off our bill, I show him the 25% off on Unilocal and he was confused(remember first day on the job) and he was slow overall with service, but! He said he will have to check on this. Comes, back with the 25% off as well. Wondering why I didn’t tell him about the Unilocal 25% off? I didn’t see him that much, to tell him! I’m going to give them another shot! I think they just may have been overwhelmed due to the busy Valentines day weekend… They may have just been off, we shall see. Huh, Jazmo’s?

2.5 stars. Too heavy for me. The food here is good, but it is soooo heavy. The tone of the drink menu is syrupy and sweet. Everybody felt pretty good after a big Hurricane and it was tasty. I went with the Seafood Saut, which is basically super-cheese potatoes with seafood on top and extra cheese. I love cheese so my eyes were pretty excited and it tasted really good, but my stomach was saying«omg, please stop.» I ate maybe a third of the dish. It was too heavy. We all had mild food-hangovers the next day. Everybody was sluggish and nobody wanted breakfast, even the woman that had zero drinks was hit with this effect so it had nothing to do with the one drink we each had. The food is good, but if you’re not used to eating high-fat food all the time, it will anger the stomach Gods. But you’ll still think about those cheesy potatoes and seafood later. Mouth happy, stomach sad.

Um… yuck Just finished a $ 70 meal for just me, and I feel gross. Had the oysters as an appetizer — they were incredibly small and lacked flavor. Then I had the 10 oz filet for the main course, I couldn’t even finish it. The asparagus on the side were yellow and tough. The spinach and garlic was the only decent thing on the plate. The steak was just gross. On the positive side — good selection of beers. Servers were nice.

I’m not familiar with Cajun food. At all. But all I know is that the food that I had at Jazmo’s was pretty tasty. We stopped in OKC after traveling for the day and decided that Jazmo’s looked like a neat place to eat. We sat inside because it was humid that night. The prices are a bit high; most of the appetizers are over $ 7 and the entrees range from $ 15-$ 30. This is not the place you would take a big family. I asked our waitress what her favorite dish was and it was the salmon. Mashed potatoes and asparagus accompanied the salmon. The salmon was prepared in a buttery, slightly cheesy sauce that gave it the perfect amount of flavor. My parents both had the po-boy sandwiches. My Mom had the alligator bites and my Dad had the catfish bites. I tried both, and they were alright. I think they could be a bit fresher, but it was at the end of the night, so they probably were left over from the day. Check In and get 25% off your order! It saved our family $ 12 which is a significant amount. Overall, I believe as a restaurant Jazmo’z’s is more of an experience. Perhaps, it is nothing like the restaurants down in New Orleans. But it is a nice place to go in the middle of Oklahoma.

A sunny Tuesday afternoon saw me relaxing on the patio at Jazzmo’s and ordering a lunch special of Chicken Alfredo with grilled chicken. The chicken arrived in narrow slices reclining across its bed of narrow noodles. The Parmesan flakes were strewn on the tenderly grilled meat. The breast meat was cooked to the last moment of proper doneness. The succulent meat served gave a milder flavor against the thin spiciness of the soft Alfredo noodles. The reddish hue of the light creamy sauce announced it’s spicer than average Alfredo construction; appropriate to the Cajun theme of the restaurant but not so powerfully to scare off the heat averse. The mild creaminess was punctuated by a mild bite of Cajun flavor. A piece of garlic toast came along for the ride and reminded the rest of the plate of its Italian origin. It’s perfectly toasted exterior encased a mild garlic flavor that gave added dimension to the heat in the sauce. The bready flavor of the interior and crunch of the crust anchored the softer notes in the dish and gave added diversity to the texture of food. I had a sweet tea to drink and found its sweetness level just right. The carefully dried flavors of the tea leaf were just supported by the sugar in a properly measured solution of iced water. Worth another visit? Yes, when you crave some good Cajun inspired cuisine done by an expert cook dedicated to the art of cooking. The dishes here exhibit a creativity that will light your imagination and make you appreciate the skill of a chef who puts thought into his menu with an attempt to give your palate a trip through new combinations of flavors. Jazzmo’s is restaurant worthy of serious culinary consideration a rare thing in this metropolis.

In town on business and my colleagues suggested we go here. They had previously dined here during one of their business trips and really enjoyed it. Located right on the canal, we arrived about 6pm and were given the choice of inside or outside, with the latter being an enclosed patio with heaters(it was about 60 and misty out). We chose the outside patio and were very happy with our choice. This area of the canal is lovely and you can see all the ducks and swans swimming as well as the other lively restaurants. I ordered the crawfish étouffée which is a dish that is difficult, if not impossible, to find in New England. It was excellent. The spice profile was on point and something I hope to be able to come down and order again someday! Our server was great at helping me choose a local beer that met my liking. However he was a little pushy when it came to the desserts. He asked us twice before we were even done with our entrees! Also, I’m not a fan of parading the two day old dessert tray around the dining room. I know they were two days old because I asked the server to confirm that those were not the actual desserts they were serving since they looked old and stale. I vaguely remember this being a tactic high end restaurants used in the early 90s but… I could really do without the whole scene and perhaps the addition of photos and prices for desserts on the menu would suffice. Overall good food and drink. Slightly pushy but acceptable service. I do hope to come back.
