Let me first say that I have had good experiences here in the past(which is why they get a star), however lasting impressions count. And when dealing with the life of your child lasting impressions count BIGTIME. First, I rarely ever got to see the actual doctor only the P.A. And the P.A. she had in Jan of 2015 wasn’t someone I felt comfortable with. When I took my child in after a life-threatening attack, at the first of 2015, the Physicians Assitant horrified my son so much that he had nightmares after the visit. She made claims that she couldn’t nor shouldn’t substantiate, like, «He’s going to stop breathing when spring gets here because he’s so severely allergic. He won’t be able to go outside!» That very same night my son heard her say that he started having nightmares that someone was suffocating him, and he couldn’t breathe. He was terrified to go outside. I had to assure him it was okay to step outside his front door. To be honest, I too was fearful for what was to come when new things started blooming outdoors. I was worried he’d stop breathing, just as she’d exclaimed. Someone from the dr.‘s office called me to follow up on the visit which is good customer service, but they didn’t believe me when I told her what happened — as ‘she would never say that’. Um, yeah she did. Also, when setting up this same appointment, the office assured me that certain tests would be ordered and prepared for him. When we arrived and finally got back to the exam room, they’d prepared or ordered the wrong serums. The nurse looked at our chart and told me he wasn’t scheduled for the tests I’d asked for. No one knew what I was asking for, so I had to ask them to get someone to bring in the correct serums. Secondly, when they scheduled our appointment — whoever was on the phone with me gave us the wrong instructions for how many days to be off antihistamines before coming in. So needless to say, we weren’t off long enough for the appt, but they did the tests anyway. Since mixups kept continually happening, I refused to go back. Instead of scheduling a second round of skin tests with their office, as they requested for more accurate results, I called the OK Allergy Clinic downtown and waited a full month as a new patient. This office needs to get their act together. I don’t trust my kid’s health to staff that I feel completely incompetent.
