I received a flyer on my door 2 days ago. I called the restaurant to place an order. One question I had was the front of the flyer said«Pick any two sandwiches for $ 12.99». The back of the menu listed the same sandwiches for $ 5.99 each. I spoke to a rude woman that kept me waiting while she finished the order before me. It’s a good thing I’m not an identity thief because the woman verified the credit card information and I could hear her say every number on the card. She told me they had several flyers but the cost was $ 12.99. I declined to order and hung up. The whole credit card issue still bothering me… I called back and spoke to a gentleman. I explained what happened and he asked what was the deal is wanted so again I repeated my question about the price difference. He said: the $ 5.99 is for carry out. Delivery price per sandwich is «6.99». It doesn’t say that on the menu. I asked if I still had to pay a delivery fee since the sandwiches are higher for delivery. His response was yes…$ 2.00. Please beware when using this business. They don’t value you privacy and double charge for delivery.

I have ordered food from this place once before and I was not pleased with their calzones. They were dry, and did not have marinara sauce in them for some reason. However, I ate at Pizza House the second time around and it was an awful experience. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. There were plenty of health codes being broken, and if I had the power to do it, I would close this place down. Pizza House has a display case where I initially thought food was supposed to go, but the Pizza House staff believes its a place to keep their big gulps cool. Behind the counter and shoved into the back corner of the place was the managers office, bills and papers stacked everywhere. On the(obviously broken) soda machine, there were a few bottles of cleaning materials next to a pile of bills and paperwork. I saw bugs crawling around the floor, and a thick layer of dirt hanging off of the air vents. The trash can was overflowing, and the manager had to come out and clean the booth that me and my friends sat at.(There are only three booths.) Now, onto the food. It took an hour and loose change for our food to arrive. I ordered some sort of pasta dish. My food came in a to-go box. My pasta came in a foil container that all the cooks had to do was stick in the oven until it was done. My friends shared a calzones and seemed pleased with the food, as was I. The food was cheap and tasted fine, nothing great but not too shabby. However, the outward appearance of the place set me off more than anything. I understand it might be hard to keep up a business in a «shady» neighborhood like this, but really guys, it’s not that hard to clean up the place and rearrange some things. If things keep going the way they are, you might not have a business after a while.

So I come here quite often, and usually we get a Canadian Bacon pizza. However, I was craving some calazone, this being one of my favourite pizza joints I went ahead and assumed that the calazone would meet my expectations.(Which it did in ways I wasn’t expecting it would.) My boyfriend and I, on the hunt, arrive at this shabby little place. The location is really not that bad, it’s in a «shady» area though, which unfortunately deters customers. Seriously guys, if you can get over the reputation the area has it is so worth it. The people are amazing and take their time making sure you get exactly what you want, fresh from the oven. They also understand not everybody has tons of money to spend on quality food, so they give out amazing prices for all of their food. Anyways, we order an All Meat Calazone, expecting the fifteen minute wait, and have a seat. The Goonies is playing on the T.V. which was a nice little bit of nostalgia for me. We always eat our food at the restaurant, whether out of habit or what we’re not sure, it just has always been nice to sit there and enjoy the change of scenery. Our food arrives, and by this point I am ravenous. I’m not going to lie, I was drooling a bit, this calazone looks and smells fantastic. I almost couldn’t wait for it to cool just a bit.(I burnt my fingers a little.) It was interesting, but still amazing. The crust had this taste to it, one of authenticity, and all the ingredients were in perfect harmony. Canadian Bacon, Mozzarella, Pepperoni, and Sausage all working to amaze my taste buds. Here’s something I found a bit odd at first, but thoroughly enjoyed in the end. There was not a drop of marinara sauce in the calazone. It was served to us in a cup on the side. Now I have seen places that serve marinara on the side for those tomato sauce lovers, but I have not seen a calazone with out the marinara.(Or maybe I have and just not noticed.) It was fascinating to me for some reason. Overall it was a great trip, I will more than likely get the calazone again. An amazing meal, a great time, and a full belly. This is truly what life is about. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something new.

Don’t listen to Amy, she’s nuts. My family and I have been ordering from this place for years. The foods always good and served up fast. The only thing I can see anyone complaining about is the size of the store but come on! It’s a mom and pop kinda place. What do you expect?

I thought this was the same Pizza House chain as the one on 23rd& Penn. I was oh so sadly mistaken! They maybe fast but plentiful is a joke. The supreme calzone & cheese pie was dinky and uneventful. I’d rather pay a little more and go to Papa Angelos– great food from true pizza marvels plus the bogo deal!

SO cheap and really fast! It doesn’t look like much. In fact, I had driven past it several times and I saw a review on here and decided to try it. For the price, you can’t beat it — the Large(pickup) one topping is 7.00. Very good, I recommend!
