Got an estimate and I asked when they could do the job. I was told they couldn’t give me a date unless I accepted the bid. I did and explained that I needed to know because my wife and I were having to stay in a hotel. First they said they had to get a service out to mark where all the utilities were underground and they had to get city permits. After the utilities were identified I called to again ask when they would be out. I was told that they would call me back. No call. I called back and was told that I needed to get someone else because they were not available. This was a total of two weeks that I have been paying the hotel and now I have to stay longer and try to find someone else. Thanks for nothing Ray’s Sewer Service.

Not happy with them at all. They came out yesterday and kept saying they couldn’t reach the clog so they’d need to replace the pipes. When we asked if something was wrong with the pipes, like collapsing or rusted through, they said no, they just couldn’t reach the clog so they need to take up the floor and replace the pipe. They seemed very incompetent, couldn’t answer any questions directly. Then they say that might be able to unclog it the next day, they’ll try again. So stupid us, let them try again since they were only going to charge an additional $ 40. They still couldn’t get it. My husband decides after they leave to try it himself, he snakes it and plunges it and crazy enough it works fine! So they charge us $ 200 and can’t fix it and my husband unclogs it in 10 minutes.

I first used Ray’s Sewer service for a rent house in NWOKC. The 1st guy that showed up was a few hours late and that was after we had to call the company since he didn’t make the appointment. The company told me the 1st60 feet of cleanout was $ 116. The guy finally shows up with a flexible stick that was maybe 6 feet long. They told my tenant that it was the commode that needed to be replaced to a high flow commode. My tenant changed out the toilet with a brand new one and the problem still occured. When he pulled off the old toilet, water from the sewer was up to the floor level, so the blockage was definitely not just the toilet. I had to call them back and they wanted to charge after hour rates… I had to fight with them that this was their fault to send an incompetent nincompoop out to unclog something with a 6 foot rod when I paid for 60 feet of clean-out. They sent someone else out and he went 16 feet and it opened the lines to clean out the line. Fortunately my tenant asked what the warranty on work was so we found out it was 90 days. The 1st service was on Sep 25th. This problem was not over. as it was an intermittent problem. It started getting pretty bad in December and we called for them to come out again on the 12th of Dec. I made an appointment from 3 – 5 the following day, Friday the 13th. They apparently called me on my cell phone and I tried to call back but with no luck. Needless to say they didn’t show up between 3 – 5 on Friday. I finally called and they said they left a message at 10:30am. Since I didn’t answer at 10:30am… it meant my tenant wasn’t home from 3−5pm? I do not understand that logic, but regardless, I was really frustrated, because the tenants are suffering and have taken time off work to handle these clowns. They say it is too late and so they will send someone out Monday morning. They send a half-way decent guy(name on invoice says Mario) to unclog it. He unclogs it from the inside and then unclogs it from the cleanout to the street. The bathroom sink is also a slow drain so he charges $ 58 to clean that out. I receive my bill in the mail and it is for $ 116 + 58 = $ 174… and as you can imagine. I am about to blow a gasket. I call them up and the lady says the stool needs to be changed. I asked. did they change the stool? No… then why am I getting charged for it. Then she states that he had to go from the cleanout and not just the commode. Well lady, I paid for 60 feet… I expect you to clean 60 feet. After wasting about 15 minutes arguing she said. lower your blood pressure and just send the $ 58. I am going to send a check, because they do charge extra for credit card usage. Not sure if there are better options but this is what I had to deal with, although the right people do bring the right equipment… It is hi or miss.

These are the guys to call when you are having drain problems. They bring out the big tools and can get your pipes cleaned! Ha. Seriously they are experts in sewers and I’ve found them to be cheaper than others in town. I had another plumber snake my sewer and it lasted me 2 weeks. Ray’s came out, showed me 5 pounds of roots he pulled out of my line. He could tell me exactly the problem. I’ll use them again.
