So I’m not the type to write bad reviews but damn i was at the bar waiting on a menu for 30 mins before i walked out. No attention given to me at all as a customer. Kind of rude when the waiters/waitresses passed me like 15x without acknowledging that i was there and asking me if i wanted anything. I took my business down rhe the street elsewhere.

Craved this place while visiting my dad at OU medical center. It’s my go to place for perfect food and comfort. Now as I catch a glimpse of things I see they are donating 20% of today to DSACO. This place always gets better. Not to mention my burger was perfect. Smokin’ Okie! My daughter has Down Syndrome and was treated to a happy surprise by this visit. Also, Bella loves these burgers.

The burgers were fantastic… like as good as burgers get. And the location(an old garage) was perfect on a warm day. We tried an assortment of fried items as sides: fried avocado(delish), fried cheese cubes(it’s fried cheese so not bad), and chili cheese fries(heartburn for days, wish I had skipped the 3 mouthfuls i ate). The service was super and again, these burgers were the shizzle. I had the Frenchman(mushroom and Swiss) which was really impressive and tasty. She had the black and blue and didn’t even let me taste a bite. And she’s a share-er. And before judging our order, it was after running a half marathon. We were seriously run-gry.

Clean cut place on the outside, then you enter an 80’s Rock n roll paradise. They are known for burgers, but the tacos are amazing as well as the salsa. Topped with cilantro lime slaw, I would eat them every day if I could. The service was spectacular. Our server was friendly, helpful & enthusiastic. I will look for a reason to return to the area so I can eat here again soon.

The food was excellent! I had to try two types of fries with the Smokin’ Okie burger. The sweet tea was delicious too. But the service was the best. Our server, Rey was very friendly. We had a great discussion with him. I wish we could’ve stayed longer.

I suppose all the burgers are good, but I wouldn’t know, because I get the same burger every time I visit. I’m embarrassingly hung up on the«Smoking Okie» burger. The flavors are so well balanced, it has become the paradigm by which all other burgers are now judged. At the 9th Street location, the ambiance is OK,(sit outside if the weather allows), the service was very good, and the people watching was better than TV. However, what will keep me going back again and again is the Smoking Okie.

I give this place 0 stars. It took us 40 minutes to get a beer on draft! FORTYMINUTES! Our appetizer came out the same time our entrees did. We got charged for a drink we sent back because it had ingredients not listed that our friend was allergic to. We spoke with a manager that did not care that we were treated so horribly. I will never go again due to the lack luster service and management.

The best burger I’ve had in Midwest city. Tons of variety in their burger selections with very creative setups. All 5 of us loved the burgers we received. They also have great vegetarian options for burger patties that are delicious. I ate some of the Thunder fries & those were great too. On top of the great food, the atmosphere is awesome with tons of music memorabilia. They have lots of flat screen tvs playing old school music videos. Loved it!

A-okay. S&B is tucked behind some trees and easy to pass up in the dark. It’s also fenced off on one side. I jogged here and was thinking«Where on Earth am I going? Does this place exist?» Then I saw it, through the chain-link fence, and went around to the front. They have alcoholic milkshakes. I had to try that. It was okay, but not great. They gave me lots of cherries, so that made me smile. I ended up dipping the cherries in the chocolate syrup and putting it on top of a spoon of the shake. I know that I ate real food, but I can’t remember what I ordered. I’d go back if I’m nearby.

Great hole in the wall-ish type of joint with a pretty good burger. Fries were better than average. Should have gotten the sweet potato fries(they were really good/buddy got them and he won on that choice). Waitress was very friendly and the place was eclectic and clean. I wouldn’t say I was blown away ala Burg & Barrel back home in KC, but this place is definitely a cut above the rest.

Went here for the first time tonight, we got the el Mexicano fries and regular fries to share, along with the fire burger and the frankenburger. Our order of el Mexicano fries came out quickly and they were very good. Our burgers came out shortly after we devoured the fries. Our waiter gave us sweet potato fries and we had to let him know we wanted regular. He said no problem, and returned quickly with the correct fries. My fiancé asked for a side of spicy ranch, but it was terrible. I’m not sure what it was, but it wasn’t ranch. Both burgers were delicious and so filling! We will probably be back when we are craving a big olé burger.

Eh. I’ve heard a lot about this place, but I’ve always been a Garage kind girl and there’s always one close by the wins out when I want a burger. I’ll start with the positives. The fries. I liked how crispy the fries were. They don’t have a lot of flavor, but the Garage’s are soggy and not great, so that’s a win for S & B. Also the atmosphere is pretty cool and they played decent music. That’s where the good stops. First I didn’t care for my slider. The bun was bleh. The meat was too thick, yet over cooked, dry and completely unseasoned. It tasted awful. They toppings were also tasteless. I got the mushroom slider with French onion sauce and that’s literally I could taste and I usually love French onion flavor. But it tasted over bearing and almost fake. I tried a bite of the peanut butter sweet potato fries and thought those were gross so sorry if that offends anyone. And finally the service. My waiter was creepy and made my friend and I feel incredibly uncomfortable when he was at our table, which was rare. We ran out of water and never got refills and it took almost 20 minutes after we finished and another person cleared our plates for us to finally get up and demand our ticket. We were late coming back to work after the lunch because of the poor service and this food was not worth that. I honestly don’t see myself coming back to this location or any other.

I don’t know what it is about S&B…their menu is outstanding, but I always walk out less than impressed. I really want to love them, but I feel like theres something missing. Please tell me some of you out there know that feeling… its good, but… ehh…I don’t know… maybe theres no love in the food? Maybe just lack of top quality ingredients? I don’t know, I just cant put my finger on it… So all that said… they really do have a great burger menu… lots of innovative burgers… they do have great Bloody Marys too. Its worth checking out if you haven’t been. Decide for yourself. You may love them and I wouldnt fault you for it, although I may judge you… kidding…maybe…There is nothing wrong with them, per se, there just seems to be something lacking for me though.

A hot July Monday afternoon and a trip downtown had me looking for a good place to eat lunch. My Unilocal app made me aware of S & B’s Burger joint. Since I consider myself the foremost expert on Burgers I decided to give them a shot. I ordered a «fatty» with mayo and a side of fries. The ambiance of classic Rock and roll was surprisingly pleasant to a former 70’s/80’s teenager. I found myself enjoying the tunes being played and remembering the classic rock images on the walls. The building itself captured the cool charm of hipster style urban renewal. Housed in what was once a greasy garage panes of clear glass in the large garage doors lit the place in the coolness that conceived the idea of turning it into a place to eat. The fries were thin but golden brown. Slightly more rubbery than crisp. The salt level was perfect. A slight aftertaste of spice from the very slight dusting of spice powder made it less than pleasant to eat the fries. I’ve had worse. Oh well, on to the burger. The Burger appeared pleasantly thick. The grilled onions escaped from the bottom, mayo leaked from the top. The cheese clung tightly to the meat. The bun firm but spongy crowned the whole like a débutante riding a float. The beef was soft but not beefy or juicy. It had good texture but was in danger of being seasoned and flavored more by the spice in the fries than anything the cook did to the meat. The cheese was as I expected a flaccid but not unpleasant example of the processed offering called American cheese. Devoid of true cheese flavor it gave a creamy topping to the burger that helped it toward some degree of flavor. The grilled onions imparted a mild oniony bite that further assisted the flavor. It’s long on visual charm; but the food is a wallflower;. S & B failed to impress culinarily. I doubt I will ever return… Too bad the place has genuine.charm.

S&B Burgers is the epitome of our local flavor. A sweet spot to grab one of OKC’s tastiest burgers, coldest beers, and frenchiest fries. One of my favorite dishes in OKC is here and if you’re here: you HAVETO try it. It’s a plate of piping hot sweet potato fries, topped with bacon bits and drizzled with peanut butter. It’s called the PB&Fry and it’s life changing.

Mmm. Somehow I always forget how good S&B is. There aren’t really in convenient proximity to my house, so I don’t come very often, but when I do — holy yum. I love that they do 50⁄50 mixed fries because I love me some sweet potato fries, but you generally need some regular fries with your burger too. I’ve had the fatty, the fire burger, the smokin’ Okie… all good. Smokin’ Okie is probably my favorite. I also love that they serve slider versions of every burger so you can sample a couple different items if you want to. This is probably my favorite location. Cozy size, but really cool atmosphere. I love the chalkboard walls with the beers and specials and such written on them. Great place on 9th street for a good burger!

I enjoy S&B’s food, but this location tends to be very hit or miss for me. There has been an instance when my boyfriend and I have walked in and been completely ignored, so we walked out after about 5 minutes of awkwardly waiting for someone to seat us. One of the servers looked directly at us and did not ever greet us or let us know someone else would be helping us. I was hesitant to return to this location after that experience, however because of the location, I have found myself back here with groups of friends. The service has continued to be spotty. Sometimes it’s great, other times I can’t even get my water refilled. Overall if you’re going to S&B’s, this is probably the worst one. If you have a choice, skip here and go to The Garage instead. I would give this location one star, but the good food still makes it’s two stars for me.

Since Tuckers and The Garage came along I have forgotten about S and B’s, but recently I decided to go back to the long(er) standing downtown burger place before a Thunder game. S and B’s has a happy hour on weekdays before 6pm where you can get select sliders for half price. Great deal! Since we were in a hurry to make the game and grab the happy hour special before 6pm we immediately placed our order when we sat down. Our server was great about speeding things along and getting our food and drinks to us quickly. It took him longer to take care of our check, but the service was on par and 4 star none the less. The food however left a lot to be desired. Gone are the days when the S and B’s burgers are the only creative options in town; The Garage takes the cake and blows S and B out of the water. The toppings were still plentiful but were lacking flavor, as was the meat which was completely unseasoned. It was also dry and overcooked, despite ordering it cooked medium. And the buns, compared to Tuckers, are nothing special. Prior to my S and B’s hiatus I had similar complaints, so this isn’t a one time occurrence. And the fries, on their own without their many toppings, are just«eh». I can think of so many other places that hand cut their fries each day, which really makes a difference in taste. So unfortunately, the food gets 2 stars. The atmosphere at S and B’s is still 5 star with their hip music, clever music décor, and fun vibe. Their beer/cocktail menu also has ample selections and unique cocktails like their Bloody Mary’s. But with places like The Garage a few blocks away, which also has a great environment, more seating and TVs, much better food, and a more extensive and cheaper bar menu, I don’t know why I would return to S and B’s. Sadly, they get 2 stars because ultimately the quality and flavor of food at a restaurant is the most important factor. They need to step up their game to keep up with the growing dining scene in OKC; they are no longer the only guys in town.

We have a friend in town and wanted him to try one of S&B’s delicious burgers. My husband and I have been to the location on May Avenue – and while the food is great, we haven’t returned because it was super small. Luckily I crossed my wires and we ended up going to this location. For starters, it’s located off Automobile Alley which is great for visitors to see. We didn’t have to wait for a table(nice change from the previous location) as there was more than enough seating. While the food did take a little long to come out(I’m pregnant so it might not have been fast enough for me lol), it was super yummy. I always get the Oklahoma Thunder burger that’s more than enough goodness for me. I believe it has bacon, avocado, a special Thunder sauce and ham. My husband and our friend got the El Mexicano fries which had guacamole, sour cream, salsa, jalapenos and chicken! All in all, the food was great and the staff is nice. We will for sure come back to this location.

We were in OKC for a convention and of course, everyone turns to «the Unilocal girl» to find a good spot for lunch. No pressssure! Thankfully, my good buddy Julie P had mentioned S&B previously and these guys I was leading around wanted a burger, beer & football. Though it took a moment for our server to come over, the rest of the experience was seamless. We ordered some Fire Fries(awesome, spicy, salty goodness) and shared them. Outstanding and a perfect foil to our shakes and beers. Then the burgers arrived… dun dun dunnnn! Local beef, local bread, flavorful, big but not outrageously so. I had the Fire Burger and it was legitimately spicy — just what I wanted. We all agreed that they were some damn good burgers. The manager came over and talked about where they got all of their ingredients which was much appreciated. Reasonably priced, lots of options, fantastic burgers and enough screens to satisfy — great choice in OKC.
