I loved to come here. I mean I really loved it. Fun people, great bartenders, beautiful waitstaff, but they closed for a week and a new owner bought it. Good for them. I’m proud someone took on an icon and decides to keep it going… BUT just a few suggestions, get rid. Of that DJ, the 80 and 70’s rock are soooooo gone, refresh the bartenders on drinks(it’s an art, treat it like one), and reserved seating with 7 customers on a Saturday night shouldn’t be happening. You have a doorman, he should be able to tell you the bar is full. Reserved tables are for special parties! I love this bar, if I had the money, I’d buy it. But reality check, the early 90’s isn’t going to make you money. Update the DJ, if he really wants a job, teach newer drinks to the bartenders, and remove theses stupid reserve signs until a party reserves them.

This review is based on memories of 2008 etched forever in my mind. I was traveling through Oklahoma City for work, and got a cheap room across the parking lot to save my per-diem for the weekend. My buddy and I decided to walk across the lot for a beer, and wandered into Sherlocks… We were greeted at the end of the hallway by a couple over-dressed gentlemen who asked how many we had in our party, and introduced us to a cocktail waitress waiting in the doorway to our right. Our lovely server was friendly and attentive, but the attire was the most memorable thing… She was pregnant, wearing a very small mini-skirt, tuxedo blouse, and bow-tie. This was the uniform for most of the wait-staff. She showed us to a table next to the dance floor, and removed a «reserved» placard from the table. All of the tables were reserved… We sat down, ordered a couple Shiner Bocks in honor of our recent excursion through Texas, and proceeded to partake in the most epic of people watching. At the center of the dance floor was an enthusiastic young handicapped gentleman, dancing rather impressively and mostly unimpeded by his crutches. He was surrounded by 3 African American women dressed in their shortest party dresses. Clearly confidence is what matters most and I shouldn’t have been so self conscious about my acne in 8th grade. On the other side of the dance floor were three«Cowboys,» meaning oilfield guys with hats and wranglers. Two business men in ties sat at another table, and various and sundry others dispersed throughout the room. This place was a bastion of diversity and inclusion! The 14 food velvet Sherlock Holmes on the wall is probably the most memorable thing however… If Sherlocks is anything like July of 2008, you can’t pass it up!

Turned away at the door for wearing a kilt! How could a British pub forbid wearing something as British as a kilt? Isn’t Scotland part of Great Britain?

this place is so low-key and classy with cool décor. the drinks are fairly priced with tap beer being only 1.75 for a decent-sized glass. and they have my favorite beer on tap that lots of bars don’t have! very wide liquor selection for those of you who don’t drink beer and nice wine selection for all different kinds of wine drinkers. i opted for the moscato but this one was not syrupy sweet like alot of them are but had just right right kind of sweetness. while alot of bars are charging 5 – 6 or more dollars on wines, the ones at sherlock’s were only 3 or 4 dollars. i dont remember. i just remember having a $ 23 tab for 4 beers, one martini, one piña colada, and one glass of wine between my boyfriend and I. not bad at all for all those drinks to be under 25 bucks especially since some of those are not cheap(wine, pina coladas, martinis) anywhere else. they have karaōke on sundays and thursdays. those of you who like to exercise your pipes, the song selection is outstanding. they have damned near everything to sing and great KJs. the waitress who waited on me, Jessie was very nice and professional. always making sure my friends and i did not have a dry moment.

Omg. Omg… What a change! First the good The sound and lighting is great. The furniture is all new with the same look. BIGGEST change for me was the ladies bathroom. The last time I was there a year ago, you didn’t dare touch anything in the bathroom. Now it’s spotless and updated plus tons of girlie options like hand soaps & hair spray etc. actually rivals the nicer bathrooms I’ve seen at fancy restaurants.(Well, close anyhow.) the change was astonishing. The staff was friendly & prompt. I have to say high five to the new management for a job well done! Now for the BAD. The very first thing I noticed walking in was a horrible mildew smell. Not sure what is the cause but wow! I’d given a complete five stars if I wasn’t overwhelmed by that smell walking in. Other then that its a great place and lots of fun!!!

This is not really a club for a younger crowd, that said, its not really a club meant for any specific demographic. Walls are adorned with Holmes images and flair, the bar is essentially a sunken step wet bar blown out to be 20 feet long, which is kind of cool. drinks were moderately priced, and the service was good. The chairs are the old style low wingback-like rolling chairs you might see in a strip club thats been around for a few years.

I’m the first to review this swinging spot, huh? Imagine a club where everyone is accepted and no matter what, you aren’t going to be judged. Its got a really good mix of people. Old people, young people, fat people, skinny people, tatted and yuppie… It’s $ 6 to get in, which I think is way overpriced for this club. But heck, people pay it. When you walk in ALL the tables have a reserved sign on them. You just have to ask, and they will get you a table. The DJ tries to keep the music as diverse as the crowd, which is not nearly as successful at some points in the night as others. This is not the trendy chill place or dance rave. It’s chill and people go there to chill. I’m really not much of a nightlife person, and this certainly isn’t my favorite place to go but it seems I get willingly dragged along enough to have been there a few times. I hate the smokey air, but that’s OK, not just Sherlocks. It is dark and reminds me of what you would see in a late 70’s early 80’s movie where people are dancing in sequence with big feathered hair and getting into their camaros and carpeted vans afterward. I can say this about Sherlocks vs. other clubs though. I have a seizure disorder so clubs with their flashy strobe lights are really ha
