Tried out the chicken salad sandwich on rye today and got a roast beef sandwich on a white sub for my husband. Both tasted great! The bread was really fresh and so we’re the veggies! Also grabbed some potato salad and some sweets! What great prices! We will be returning for more soon!

I’ve been here twice now to pick up food for some clients and ordered some food for me while I was there. You really cannot beat it for the prices. It’s like stepping back in time.

The following menu items are quite delicious(and filling) for me: — 1. Hoagie(Hot) — 5. Reuben — 8. Corned Beef — The super cheap desserts Sit outside if the weather is nice(and if seats are available). That way you don’t feel like people are hovering over you while they’re waiting in line. The place gets pretty busy and lunch, and I always feel awkward with someone’s butt really close to me while I’m eating. Someplace Else isn’t for everyone though. You should ask yourself some questions before visiting: 1. Do you like sandwiches? 2. Do you enjoy restaurants that have been community staples for decades? 3. Do you prefer restaurants where a filling meal doesn’t result in an empty wallet? 4. Do you like having variety when it comes to sandwich innards? 5. Do you love the idea of paying pocket change for a number of large, delicious cookies, and other desserts? 6. Do you prefer your customer service to be low on sass and high on Oklahoma charm? 7. Do you use Jason’s Deli sandwiches as the measure by which all other sandwiches are compared(as one of the other reviewers has delightfully done)? If you said no to most of these, then get out. [] Answer Key [] 1. Yes 2. Yes 3. Yes 4. Yes 5. Yes 6. Yes 7. No

If your a vegetarian or a straight carnivore this is the place. Sandwiches made fresh on the fly… Hot or cold… And the best part is everything is made fresh in house all the breads and baked sweets. So I know I’m getting the real deal and not something loaded with preservatives and chemicals. They are also very fairly priced. A full meal sand which side drink and a sweet side for $ 10. You can’t beat that.

Fantastic deli with good quality meats and excellent service. Not blown away good like you would find in downtown NY, but still for okc standards very nice. The cookies here are the best in the country. If you have found better, please message me.

This is a hidden gem in the heart of OKC. When you walk in to this place, it feels like you’ve stepped back in time to your grandparents deli. Fresh baked bread, fresh sliced meats and cheeses and homemade baked goods are an unbeatable combination. It’s fairly priced and tastes incredible. I get a Ruben sandwich, extra dressing of course and it’s one of the greatest I’ve ever had! I also had a brownie, because who can turn down a brownie?! It was all so amazing that I just can’t wait to come back. If you’ve been meaning to try this place, don’t even think about going any place else!

I have been eating here since 1986. The life-long staff that work here are one of the best oiled machines I have seen. The sandwiches are always on point and the cookies are the best. Get in line at lunch because it is worth it.

This is my new favorite place to stop in the area. I usually go in before they close, and service has always been very fast. You can’t go wrong with pretty much any sandwich on the menu. All of them have high quality meat and bread. Eating the bread on a sandwich and liking it is rare for me. Often, I’ll just throw out half or all of the bread on whatever sandwich I’m eating. Not so here, as the tastes blend perfectly. Lots of sides available cheaply too. Chips, soups, bananas, cookies. The soups aren’t anything special usually, but easily beat something you’d find in a can. The cookies are AMAZING though. I’ve sampled a lot of bakeries in OKC(Ingrid’s, La Baguette, Browns) and Someplace Else easily has the best cookies in town. GOFORTHECOOKIESOMNOM (Also they accept credit cards, a huge plus)

So, I had to go back and visit this place because… well… I am cheap … and who can pass up the opportunity to try and Avocado, cream cheese, and bacon sandwich. I was very intrigued by the endless tantalizing possibilities this combination could deliver and man did it deliver. The avocado, well was an avocado, but the combination with the creamy cream cheese, salty crispy bacon, and tomatoes on fresh bread just worked. It is so good that it is something I am going to start whipping up at home when I want a fat kid snack, most likely good for a hangover. I would highly recommend giving this odd combo a try, you won’t be disappointed… well unless you don’t like delicious food, in that case you are a lost cause anyways. All the best.

After seeing a lot of positive reviews for this place, I decided to stop in for lunch while roaming around the city looking for a bite to eat. I’m glad that I did! I had a turkey sandwich, and added cheese and bacon(which was hot and crispy, a welcome change from most sandwich shop bacon additions). They also have a delicious assortment of baked treats for such low prices I shake my head at what other businesses charge. Everything was delicious, the staff were all polite and helpful, and it has a quaint hole in the wall charm. I would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a fresh sandwich with some yummy cookies on the side!

This is one of the best restaurants in the OKC metro if you ask me. Their sandwiches are made on tasty fresh baked bread with freshly sliced meat. I haven’t tasted all of their sandwiches; I get the turkey(#4) most every time. Their cookies are just out of this world. Being allergic to dairy and peanuts limits me but I’ve tried their spritz(xmas) cookies, and their plain sugar and chocolate sugar cookies. None of them have dairy but most of their other cookies do. I come here every Saturday and strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone who has their doubts.

Someplace Else is a wonderful tucked away place with an amazingly witty name. Their sandwiches are a nice change of pace from all the sand which chains around. If you want to «eat fresh» try here. The environment isn’t amazing, typically I don’t want to stay and eat, but with the seating available, I’m not sure that they are going for that anyways. However, the service is very friendly and helpful with all my(too many) questions. I can be pretty picky when it comes to what goes on my sandwich and they are very patient with me. Every sandwich I’ve had there was wonderful and the price to portion ration is great. They offer a lot of baked goods as well, I haven’t tried them yet, but they always look absolutely delicious.

The shrimp salad sandwich is so good that my daughter scarfs it down eating all the veggies on it! It’s a miracle and delicious! The breads and the baked goods are a treat for your tastebuds. I love the small, local and friendly atmosphere. They serve breakfast too! We decided this place is a weekly tradition now. Thank you Someplace Else for being in the place you are.

This is a really good place. I like a sandwich and I love a good sandwich place. i got the reuben – which can be tricky because you can get too much kraut – too much 1000 island dressing – something, but here no. It all came together in a delicious combo. They have a great deal of variety in on the menu and it looks like you can get deli meats and other things like that. Its really good – a little hidden in the middle of a crowded area, but worth finding.

Have been three times now for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast sandwich I got had sausage, egg & cheese and was on a biscuit(also available on a bagel). Wasn’t anything special but was decent sized, fresh and very inexpensive costing just over two dollars. It took between 5 — 7 minutes to get it(there was nobody waiting on me when I came in) so I wouldn’t consider the service prompt or too slow. When I went for lunch I got the hummus sandwich which was absolutely amazing except for the fact they kind of skimped on the hummus. If you get it be sure to ask for extra if you love it as much as I do(I think it’s a dollar charge for extra). The next time I went I got the meatball sub. Was disappointed the sandwich was microwaved but given the fact that both times cost me under five dollars(I didn’t get chips or buy a drink) and the sandwiches were generous portion sizes it was worth it. Overall it isn’t a great place but it is cheap, the food is fresh and the service was friendly both times I stopped in. I’ve had much worse in terms of quality and service while paying more at other places.

Got the turkey sandwich, chips and a soda. Sandwich was great and the bread was very fresh. Great local sandwich shop. I really want to try the reuben and kielbasa sandwich next time I am in that area.

This place has been bookmarked for nine months and I finally got to try their food! Why did I wait so long?!! It’s a small deli with CHEAP prices! I got a delicious chicken salad sandwich on rye bread and several yummy brownies and cookies from their pastry case for $ 5 plus some change. That was a pretty cheap lunch! And they were quick at preparing it. I was there around 1pm and didn’t think there would be a crowd. Minutes after I had ordered and sat down, a huge line formed. Most were for take out. This is a very popular joint is seems like — and for good reason!

This place has been open as far back as I can remember. I recall riding past this place with my family as a child, because the name always stood out. My recent visit to Someplace Else Deli, it felt as though I stepped into a time machine back to 1985, and I loved it. Retro décor, wood grain on the walls, and best of all, 1985 prices. I ordered a salami and provolone sandwich for $ 3.85. It was served on a 7 inch roll. The bread was very fresh, as well as the ingredients. When I looked over the baked goods, I was flabbergasted when I saw the prices. Cookies were 26 cents, brownies and cinnamon rolls were .52. I surely thought this was some sort of Nigerian money scam, and as soon as I gave them my money, they would pretend like I didn’t pay them. But, to my amazement, they gave me the brownie! And it was delicious. As I ate my sandwich, the bakery staff was busy cooling and slicing bread. Much of it took place in the lobby. It was interesting to watch. I love this place, and hope they never change.
