Stereotyping works. I trusted Charles K.‘s opinion(he hasn’t led me astray yet), so I thought Sweiss would be a good option for some dress pants alterations(for me and my sibling). The close proximity to my domicile also influenced the decision. I called the listed phone number to verify hours. The voicemail stated that they were open at 9:00 am on Saturdays. Okay. 9:00 am. I give the place a ring. No response. Alright, so maybe I’m being a little gung-ho. I’ll wait a few minutes. 9:05 am. Still nothing. Maybe they’re busy. We’ll just go since it’s close by. 9:15 am. My brother yanks on the door handle to verify that it’s closed as it appears to be. Yup. Closed. We decided to head elsewhere to get our pants altered, and an Asian lady in a giant SUV passes us in the parking lot. My brother and I figured there was a high probability that the Asian lady in the SUV is who we were waiting on. So we make a U-turn, pull up to Sweiss, and yeah… Asian SUV lady is unlocking the front doors. She doesn’t talk much, but she’s nice. She didn’t ask us what we wanted and simply started taking measurements. But then my pants ended up being slightly too long, and instead of offering to fix it, she told me to pull my pants up and tighten my belt. How about you just fix it so I don’t have to resort to constantly pulling my pants up? Second go-around worked out more to my satisfaction. $ 10(cash or check only) to adjust the length. It’s not the best price I’ve seen, but it’s not the worst either. Moral of the Story: They’re your clothes, so if you’re unhappy about something, don’t let her(or any tailor for that matter) talk you out of getting it fixed. Her work is very well done… once you get it to your specifications.

I’ve lost 35 pounds over the last year, which is a good thing. Unfortunately my business clothes didn’t shrink with me. I had a favorite blazer with this problem, so I took it to Sweiss Tailor Shop, since it is near where I live. The woman working there is very nice and quickly took my measurements. One week later, it fits like a charm for $ 30. Much cheaper than a new jacket, and much healthier than eating McDonald’s for a month to make the old one fit better. Great service; definitely recommend. Note: She currently doesn’t accept plastic, so bring cash.
