Mostly junk and not well organized. It smells like cigarettes. Also, no pubic restroom *sad face*.

The Basement is one of the best stores to scope out eclectic knick-knacks for your home. Each time I have been to The Basement, there is always something cool, neat, or even downright weird to check out. The store is filled to the brim, so there is definitely a «cozy» vibe to it. Make sure to take your time and really absorb all that you’re admiring — it’s easy to knock out at least an hour, if not two, here. I definitely recommend The Basement if you’re looking for old-timey jewelry — last year, I was Joan née Holloway Harris for Halloween and The Basement provided me with the perfect earrings, brooch, and even purse to complete the Joan look. Last time I was at The Basement, I scooped up an octopus necklace complete with little flowers for additional décor. This place is a must-stop if you’re into unique jewelry but don’t have the patience to wait on an Etsy shop to mail it to you. ;) Don’t worry about parking — there is plenty behind the shop if you go south on Western. Enjoy!

The Basement is one of my absolute favorite antique stores in all of Oklahoma City. They have such an eclectic collection of things, ranging from cookware and clothes to furniture and jewelry. I’ve bought a couple of things(2 chairs from the 60s and some keychains) and I was happy to see that they were very reasonable with their prices. In fact, I was actually able to negotiate with the owner of the chairs and had the price cut by 25%. The people that run the store are extremely friendly and pretty darn knowledgeable when it comes to the product in their store, which I find pretty amazing considering just how random some of the product in their store is. Another positive about The Basement is their constant turnover of product. There is ALWAYS something new in the store to peek your curiosity. I will continue to frequent this place as long as the doors are open.

I am ashamed it has taken me so long to write a review about this place! I have a booth here for god sake!!! I knew the first time I walked into this place after it changed from The Clutterbug to The Basement that this was a place I could call home and sell all the Thrift Store finds I have collected along my journey through various states. And not only was I right on about it being the perfect place to hock my wares, I also met the two most wonderful people in OKC as far as I am concerned in the owners, Wayne and Craig … of course I also love the owner of the now defunct Clutterbug too and he is still a part of the shop encompassing a lot of the upper level in the west room. Without a doubt I will come in to fill my booth and I will leave with a box full of goodies for my house! And the prices are right on … not like what you will pay at some other«antique» stores or cool hipster industrial décor stores. I have even had some local shop owners buy from me to resell at their shop down the street … that speaks volumes for the prices here! You will always find a one-of-a-kind treasure and they have all kinds of things from vintage to homemade crafts to furniture, etc. Come on by and haggle yourself an even better deal! And don’t forget POPCORNSATURDAYS! Free lunch while you shop … you can’t beat that!
