I’m singing high praises over here! This review is for The Fleuriste’s floral arranging classes. I had the privilege to attend The Fleuriste’s November«Floral and Fauna» class, meaning fruit and flowers. It was a little last minute so I wasn’t sure what to expect. In our two hour class we were greeted by extremely friendly employees, set up at our work stations, fed delicious snacks and wine, got a demonstration of what we would be making, given tips on the best materials and techniques to use while arranging then set free to create our masterpieces. The best part was we got to take them home! George and Allison opened the Fleuriste after moving here from California. George was raised in the business. He led our class and had all kinds of knowledge to share. The Fleuriste can do arangements for any kind of event, but one of their specialties are these floral arranging classes. They executed the class perfectly. Each person gets their own work station with a name card, scissors and a pocket knife, a wooden box with floral foam and a recipe card. The recipe card listed how many of each flower we would need for our arrangement. In the middle of the room are all the gorgeous buckets of flowers we would be using. After a little introduction, George got right in to showing us the best way to cut the stems, the best angles to insert the flowers into the foam and where to place each flower. He said usually he gives freedom to the students to sort of create their own, but for this class particularly he wanted us to stick to his design. I loved this because the design was gorgeous and this helped give more guidance for most of us first timers. After finishing a quick run through with the arrangement we were set free to create our own. I’m super into this kind of stuff. I suddenly felt like I missed my calling as a florists. I was cutting and arranging away! My sweet roommate who would admit is not creative at all even loved it and hers turned out amazing. They had so many people there to be all hands on deck. People continuously came by to check our work, give assistance, etc. without hovering. They were also there to refill our wine, chi chi! Thank you to George, Allison, Laura, Ashley and Kiley for an amazing night! I’m going to take my high praises and recommend to everyone I know!

I received some flowers from my son that came from the Fleuriste for my Birthday. The flowers were very fresh and the arrangement was very well done. It had a very new age look to it. Thank you Fleuriste!

(For more of the particulars that comprise the following review, see also the reviews from BD S, Anna M. and Samantha Q). Any business that provides services during a time of duress, such as when a beloved friend dies long before his time, should be well-versed in operating with the utmost sympathy and respect. Sadly that was not the case with Fleuriste, a business that had previously lauded its ability to meet special requests. For my classmates and me, our request was simple. Yellow/golden roses in the shape of the numbers«98,» with a blue boarder. Had I given these instructions to my five-year-old niece, or a well-trained chimpanzee, I have a feeling they would have been completed without incident. Now, the closest I’ve ever come to floral arrangements was picking dandelions instead of partaking in father-enforced baseball games in 1st grade, but even I can correctly identify flowers in the«blue» and«yellow» family. Unfortunately what I saw pictured was nothing of the sort. Instead, we paid $ 500 for an oversized, awkwardly shaped, leaky, unmanageable arrangement more suitable for a hipster rave than a fitting tribute.(Or, to quote Sex and the City, «Those flowers were supposed to say, ‘I’m so sorry for your loss,’ not ‘You’re dead, let’s disco.’») I am proudly from the great state of Oklahoma, though I no longer reside there. I had hoped my contribution to the floral arrangement would have been a tasteful declaration of the collective grief and celebration of a life well-lived. Not only was the finished product absolutely unacceptable, the treatment of my childhood best friends is what really plucks my petals(pardon the pun). Rest assured my family and I will be telling our friends about our horrible experience at Fleuriste during a particularly sad, shocking, and trying time.

Misrepresentation!!! And RUDE!!! When doing a floral arrangement, I understand that there needs to be some room for interpretation and artistic creativity… but when you are very specific about the color of flowers you want used, it’s pretty black and white(or just yellow, in this case). I asked for a unique arrangement of yellow flowers in the shape of a «9» and«8» on a navy blue background. The flowers used were: yellow, peach, light blue and maroon. The background was a «shotty» job of navy blue spray paint with sparkles(not very appropriate for a funeral service). The owner also told me that he would send me pictures throughout to make certain he was on-point with the project. I went by to see them, but he was not available. I called twice, but he never returned my call. He sent me a picture via text message the morning of the service and there was nothing more that I could do. I questioned the«maroon» flowers and he said that they were not maroon, but blue.(So– he called me color-blind today… me and about 150 other people!!!) I went by to make things right(ie, get a partial refund or have flowers placed on my friends grave on his up-coming 34th birthday) and to let him know that I was disappointed in the arrangement and in return I was called obnoxious and told that I was not allowed to do business there. There was no room for discussion! I would not use this flower shop! There are plenty others in the OKC area that will do what you want and will treat you with respect. DONOT use them! This is not something I wanted to deal with in remembering my friend, his funeral service, etc. –And I would assume that you don’t either!

I took some time looking for a florist for my wedding. I had spent some time on Pinterest and knew that I wanted something unique and upscale. After asking a few friends, one of them referred me to the Fleuriste. The staff was very patient and helpful in looking at all my ideas, and best of all they worked within my budget. I was extremely satisfied with my entire experience!
