The Plant Shoppe Grows. Bent Builds. The Okay See screen prints. I’d never have thought three such unique concepts could work so well together. But it does!

The Hub is a pretty cool concept. I’ve been in here a few times when it was just Bent Creative and The Plant Shoppe. They sell cool décor for your home and succulents(which are all the rage). The Okay See recently moved in, and the place has been completely changed up.(See pictures) I believe their Boom Shocka Locka tee was one of the first Thunder tees I purchased. It’s good to see that they’ve got their own place now. During Première on Film Row, they host live music and give out free beer.(Signs of a good business.) If you follow my check-ins at all, you’ll know that I’m a big Drink&DrawOKC fan. The Hub now hosts Drink & Draw every first Thursday from 8 – 11.(Another sign of a business that is involved in the community)

The Missus and I stumbled upon this place when we were attending the Première on Film Row. It’s one of those places that could be easily passed by, but once it’s been discovered, becomes a place you wish you had found out about a long time ago. So, here are my thoughts on this neat little place. Places like this, and to a lesser extent The Salvage Room, are slowly creeping on my radar of places I’d like to regularly visit. The Hub is a collection of randomness. Soaps, Edison bulb lamps, indoor house plants, and clothing. By the way, they have one of the coolest, yet small, collection of shirts I’ve seen around town by a company called, «The Okay See.» It’s worth a visit by itself. The crowd is your standard collection of hipsters, mixed with just a touch of the older generation. During my particular visit, Coop Ale Works was handing out free Belgian Style Table Ale(A beer they haven’t released yet.) which was a nice surprise. There was also a little music show going on in the back of the building, which drew in a little crowd itself. Overall, I dig the what The Hub is doing and will make an effort to visit this place more in the future, as it seems to cater to people like me. People that like to «Keep it Local.»

The Hub is a cute little shop tucked away in Film Row. Located behind The Paramount, this was a cool find during the première on Film Row last Friday. It sells unique locally made soaps, t-shirts, and a large selection of indoor plants. This would be a great place to find a gift for a plant-lover and is simply a really neat space. It’s definitely worth checking out! They were also giving away free beer at the event which was a great way to draw in the crowd who otherwise might have just passed them by so I got to try a new COOP Belgian beer that was awesome!
