Been here 4 times! The food is amazing! The fountain drink area has some pretty cool sodas and flavors! It’s very nice on the inside. The servers are very nice and very polite. I spilled my drink and was cleaning it up and a young man walked up and cleaned it up quickly and was not rude at all. I tell everyone I know to come here!

Well, we finally braved the Sunday morning crowds for the sake of a good waffle. The line around the corner of the building was a little crazy, but worth it. We had the waffle fries topped with bacon, egg, and cheese. The fries and eggs were perfect, the bacon was slightly undercooked, and the cheese was sparse. I’d probably order it again though(if someone convinced me to brave the crowds and return). The s’more liege waffle, though… wow. It was incredibly sweet, but oh so delicious. Do yourself a favor and split it with like 3 others to save yourself a belly ache. Another waffle in our group was the Fools Gold and I must say… the candied bacon was terrible. Think bacon jerky on a waffle.ew.

WAFFLES!!! This place is definitely worth the wait in line. Which is always a good sign. I try to go here as many times as I can. Awesome brunch spot. It took me a couple times of going to realize I can exchange the waffle for waffle fries! Sometimes the hangover on Sunday doesn’t like sweet with savory. The line moves pretty fast and they have good seating system. This place is stupendous!

Oh baby this place is good! I had their Mexican variety on their classic waffle and it was great. I came back again during my trip for their Grandma’s Apple pie on their Liege waffle and that was a grand slam. I am not sure how they do it but their whip cream was phenomenal better than any other whipped cream I have ever had. The only problem with this place is that some people don’t even touch their whip cream and they throw it out. That should be a crime given how good it is.

This was a great find. Looking for a quick breakfast with my 16 month old. Ordered a normal waffle. Strawberries, crème. Price was 12 $ with a juice. Huge juice. Quick service, nice staff. If I come back to Okc I’ll eat here again. Good job you are the Waffle Champs.

Ok I just want to spend a month in Oklahoma City just to try all the different menu options. I had the small batch lemon curd waffles, and hubby had the bacon, egg and cheddar waffle sandwich. Both were good and worth the wait in line!

I came in today with my husband and children today. My husband abs I got the Migas and my children got a waffle and strawberries to share. The food was amazing this time! The waffles were soft and chewy. The Migas came with a cucumber relish that, honestly I was skeptical about, but that was quickly turned around after the first bite. It was really, really… really good. My husband who didn’t typically care for waffles(he came at my urging) ate every last bite of his. He’s the pickiest eater I have in my family, so that’s saying something. The boys naturally annihilated theirs because, well, it’s waffles and strawberries. Everyone was happy. I also got a chance to meet Derrick. He’s a manager at Waffle Champion and probably one of the nicest and most gracious people I’ve met. You can tell he honestly cares about his customers and his business. One of the patrons was eating outside with his wife and his dog. Derrick gave the dog some water and a treat! How nice is that?! I would definitely come back to this place. My last review, was most likely the product of an «off» day. We all know that can happen in the food business.

We had an OK experience at Waffle Champion. We tried coming here around 11:00 on Sunday morning, but as Unilocal warned us, the line wrapped around the building, and we were too hungry to wait. So we came back around 1:00, and the line was slightly shorter, but we still ended up waiting for about 40 minutes before we reached the counter. Once you get inside, they have an employee who asks if you’re staying or taking your food to go, and if you’re staying she asks for the number in your party(in our case, two) and then gives you a number and reserves a table for you under that number. It’s a pretty smooth system, which we appreciated. When we finally made it to the counter, they were out of Liege waffles! That pretty much broke my heart, because it’s my favorite kind of waffle. I can make a classic buttermilk waffle, but Liege is much more difficult, and basically the whole reason I wanted to come here. They could probably see how sad I was, because as an apology they offered us 10% off our bill, which was much appreciated, but didn’t ease the pain. We ordered the Cheeseburger Mac on classic waffle, a small order of waffle fries, and one of their special shakes of the day, a Brown Sugar Peach shake. I think our favorite thing was the waffle fries, which come with truffle mayonnaise and housemade ketchup for dipping. The shake was pretty good, and the Cheeseburger Mac was just totally underwhelming. It was basically a lot of burger, a few odd noodles, and some light, white cheese sauce. Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing?

Visited twice and really want to like this place but will not return. It is fun, upbeat and long lines. I had liege waffles in Belgium and was excited to see them locally. The excitement didn’t last long –they were tough, warmed over and little flavor. Second visit went with the basic waffle. It had been under a warming light!!! Yes a warning light. You see a stack of them as you order. They split in half as you cut them, had little flavor and again tended to to a tough texture. The ‘maple’ syrup was thin and tasteless. The bacon was very good. For basic waffles Waffle House does better. Maybe the draw is the toppings but you still need a good waffle to start FOLLOW-UP. Received a genuine response from the owner who was genuine in wanting the best. I was impressed with his style and efforts

Living in Edmond, my only chance for WC tends to be on the weekends; however, stories of building-wrapped lines deterred me from giving WC a try. So when I was in downtown for a conference all last week, I figured this was my chance, it was now or never! Thankfully, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, it’s not crazy. It’s definitely bustling, but none of those horrid lines of lore. Be sure to grab the menu off the wall before walking up to the counter – I missed that during my first go-round. I ordered one of their veggie options, the Florentine, a cup of coffee, and a fizzy drink from their soda fountain on recommendation of the cashier. And I’m glad I listened, because that lemon-lime bevvie was delicious. The line is well-laid out: after leaving the counter, there’s a spot to fix up your coffee if you’re so inclined, another spot for the soda fountain, and a spot to grab silverware, hot sauce, and/or salt and pepper. The space is lovely: airy with a variety of seating. I ducked into a corner where I could get some work done while waiting for my waffle. Yes, there’s free wi-fi if you need it! But lucky for me, it did not take very long for my breakfast at all. And man, was that Florentine good! It was a delicious, perfectly cooked waffle holding scrambled egg with savory mixins’(think spinach, tomatoes, and goat cheese) that paired said savory well with the sweetness of the syrup lightly drizzled on top. There’s a reason I went back two days later, folks. I am so glad I finally got to try Waffle Champion: if you’re really wanting to give it a try, definitely wait for the right time as I did. They definitely have worked to accommodate as many folks as possible, given there is also copious seating outside as well. Waffle Champion is busy and bustling for a reason: it’s damn good.

If you decide to go here on a Sat morning, I would recommend that you are there no later than 0800 because after that, the line line will be out the door. I got the Chicken/Waffle sandwich which was pretty good! The Chicken was seasoned well, and everything came out hot and fresh in no time. I also requested scrambled eggs on the sandwich but I’m not sure what I got, lol(You can see from the pic)… Other than the scrambled egg issue, everything else was good. The sandwich was very filling, I was stuffed and couldn’t barely finish. My wife got the Egg Benedict which had fried crawfish on it, which she said was also pretty good. Overall a great experience! Just remember. The later you wait from the time they open on a Sat, the longer the lines. I will be back!

Waffles waffles waffles. The pride of breakfast. The champion of OKC. It’s hard not to tear up when you’ve won the gold medal waffle lathered in syrup. I’d run a marathon, swim across the Atlantic, single-handedly school the dream team, knock out Rocky, bend it like Beckham and climb Mount Everest for a chance to be the champion of the waffle. You can’t go wrong with either sweet or savory. I tend to lean towards sweet, adding sugar rum bananas to top my classic waffle, but the occasional waffle sandwich gives my tastebuds a satisfying workout. They used to have a list of toppings you can add to your sweet waffles, but now it is off the menu and replaced by pre-set combos. However, you can still ask for a create your own version. Get here during the week or early hours on the weekend because this place gets crazy wth waffle athletes.

Yes. You should go here. Be prepared for a long wait(this is why only 4 stars, not 5). We waited almost an hour. But the food comes extremely fast after you order. Great coffee too! We got the chicken and waffles and the French toast waffles. I recommend both, but I personally like the French toast waffles better.

Food: 5⁄5 Service: 4⁄5 Cleanliness: 5⁄5 Décor & Style: 2⁄5 Love the hearty waffles here and the mimosa! Very large portions. The décor is very nice, but i rate the style 2⁄5 because it is very small and cramped, and if you don’t get there early enough then you wait in line for 30 – 60 minutes! I love good food, but unlike others I am not willing to wait that long. There are wayyy too many good options in OKC for me to choose from. I probably wont be back on my own accord, but will be happy to wait and try it again if a new comer friend really wants to try it. I don’t get hungry, I get hangry! This place will only add to my hangry-ness and I would not enjoy my food.

Full disclosure: It had been years since my last visit, because I refuse to stand in a line around the block. That being said… THEYHAVE A LATENIGHTWALK-UPWINDOWNOW! It’s open on weekends until like 2 am. I got the buttermilk fried chicken with fried leeks and Tabasco honey and now I can never have chicken and waffles any other way ever again. Do yourself a favor and go this weekend after some bar hopping.

Waited in the long line Saturday afternoon and it was totally worth it! Restored my faith in chicken and waffles. I almost gave up on this but 3rd times a charm! They serve it with spicy, crispy, fried chicken strips, wrapped burrito style in a fluffy sweet Belgian waffle, topped with delicious fried leeks and and a drizzle of syrup!!! This is how chicken and waffles should be eaten!!! Do it! Interesting items throughout the menu. Fresh made cereal milk, goat cheese ice cream, etc… Definitely coming back! The also serve mimosas!

I tried to find a review to see if anyone else had the same experience as me, but no one has specified if they had the liege waffle. If there is a specification in a review then it references the buttermilk waffle which seems like the one to choose. Anywho; I had the liege waffle and it was absolutely as tough as a rubber tire. I sat there for a moment and pondered approaching the hellish line to ask about it. A busser was cleaning a table next to me; I asked him about it, and he said it should not be tough and a knife should cut it just fine. He advised that he will bring another order, but I advised him that another waffle would be fine, and I didn’t need all of the other toppings. The one he brought was slightly better, but the knife was still ineffective –__– I was like whatev. Nobody walked around to check on the patrons, and it seems like there is little concern regarding your experience after you pay for your order. I left my food on the table and exited. And I guess there are two syllables to liege, so get that right when you order or there will be a correction accompanied by a grimace of confusion; I must have missed the note saying that you are instantly transported to the Netherlands when you enter the doors and diction matters. If the liege waffle is supposed to be super tough, and irresistible to being cut with a knife then please let me know and I guess I’ll have to raise this review to two stars.

Waffle Champion is a must try breakfast spot. My mouth is watering just thinking about their food. The only thing I hate about this place is their hours — I always crave it but they’re only open 7am to 2pm :( It’s a popular spot, so there’s always a line — I recommend going on a Friday if you don’t want to wait in a long line. Although, their lines move very quickly! Also, there’s a free parking lot behind the restaurant for customers. I’ve had their chicken and waffles, grilled cheese waffle, migas waffle, and a few of their dessert options. I haven’t found an entrée yet that I don’t love. All the ingredients are fresh, and everything is made from scratch. What more can you ask for?! I am obsessed with Waffle Champion, stop reading this review right now and go try it! Well, if it’s open lol

I know what you’re thinking: handcrafted waffles, what’s better? Honestly… for $ 40 on breakfast for two people, I left just content. Not unhappy by any means, or elated, but just beyond the cusp of «that was okay.» We stayed with the waffle sammich concept. Boyf went bacon+egg+cheddar which is actually a little fancier consisting of tillamook cheddar, free range eggs, and thick cut bacon. I love chicken and waffles anything so it only made sense that I went with the buttermilk fried chicken. Now, I had really, reeaally hyped myself up for this magical unicorn waffle of epic proportions. Of course the chicken is free range like you guessed, y’all! No guilt here. It was balanced overall in presentation/taste departments and it was enough to just leave me pleased. The mimosa on the other hand was on the heavier side than I anticipated which was well appreciated! Staff was nice and helpful with questions, too.

Awesome breakfast here, loved it. I got the chicken and waffles, it had fried onions and stuff on it which made it great, wonderful spin on a classic. My wife got the bacon egg and cheese, again just a normal combo but it too was good(I had to finish her food per usual) We came here on a Wednesday morning so it was not busy, I can see this place getting packed on the weekends since parking is so limited. Give this place a try, the waffle combos are good! We will be back for more.
