My son loves this place. I appreciate their approach and attention they give the newbies. Mr. Bradberry is great with the kids, perfect balance between supporting and correcting.

We absolutely love Akka. My son has been doing karate there for almost 4 years. He started gping there after he was attacked by a dog. He seemed to have lost his confidence after the attack. A friend recommended Akka to us. Akka has made a difference. His confidence level is back. Akka is so welcoming. It’s one big family here. I recommend Akka to anyone wanting to get into karate.

They have a fantastic Kids program and their Adult classes are some of the best in town. I would recommend for a family.

I’m dismayed to see negative reviews here because our son has been going to aka Olathe for six years and it has been nothing but a positive experience for us. The school has both adult and children’s classes, however we are only familiar with the kids stuff. For children, I would say that it is a highly structured and supportive environment with caring instructors who help in blending fun with hard work to achieve results in physical fitness and attitude. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for martial arts training for their children.

Level of attention to students has plummeted from years past. My son was left crying by himself when the«instructors» ignored him while learning moves. We overheard other instructors complaining about not wanting to teach the smaller kids. Owner was active and around when we signed up, but eventually was never to be seen around the Olathe location. The level of service and professionalism is about half of what we experienced when we first signed up. Definitely don’t recommend

No, no, no… not unless you want to be given false information on payments and contracts(we are out $ 1570 and they are threatening legal action) since we were promised we could opt out of a contract for our 7 year old with 30 day paid notice. Both my husband and I were there and would never ever have signed up without a clause like that(we know how 7 year olds change their minds). The owner, Mr. Anthony Williams, is now claiming that he never lets anyone out of a contract and takes them to court. I’m guessing this is pretty often with the way he conducted business with us. He is truly mean to the kids… and in our opinon, is anything but full of integrity, the basis of karate. Our son loved the class with the Bruce’s the once he advanced to Mr. Williams class, he never wanted to go again. He even begged and cried, but we supported him attending. Guess we should have trusted him that something was wrong with the harsh treatment he was receiving. Hard lesson for Christian parents to have to pay this kind of bill because we trusted someone who teaches ïntegrity. We recommend you do your research before even thinking of signing up here… and don’t take anyones word for anything. Don’t learn the way we did about trusting Mr. Williams to be good to his word because he did not keep his word to us. Again, just our opinion based on our experience.
