Essnails

I’m new in town and always hesitant to go to new places. Essnails did not disappoint! Everyone was super friendly, and quick to help you. They have a great selection of polishes. I did gel nails and a spa pedi with a heal treatment and I am very satisfied. One thing that I really enjoyed, was everyone was speaking English to each other so I knew they weren’t talking about me ;) I will be returning!

I chose this salon based on the other Unilocal reviews. Very happy with my mani/​pedi. They did both at the same time. Which was kind of nice getting done quickly. They both did a great job, standard mani/​pedi with good massages. I don’t always enjoy them because somtimes they are so rough, pulling, yanking, and pushing cuticles… they were very gentle, but effective. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is they weren’t very friendly, they were not rude or anything. We are all intiled to bad days. I will definitely be going back.

This place do not know how to give customer service! This has never happened to me before in many other places I’ve went.
I communicate by handwriting. They apparently do not understand English. I asked for an oil hand massage and manicure. The lady asked me if I meant French tip, and I said yes. But apparently what I wanted they called it a set. I even showed them a picture of what I wanted.
So when I realized they’d misunderstood me, I tried to explain and correct the situation. The woman who was clearly in charge had horrible attitude and made me feel disgusting. In the end, they corrected the situation, but refused to allow me to pay only for the «set,» saying they’d done two services, and that I was to pay $ 50.
I wish I could just walk out and not pay, but at least I had some respect. And I grew so tired of their stubbornness and because of their mistake I ended up staying there an an hour and half, making me late for a meeting. So I paid. That was a $ 50 wasted, and I wish I never tried this place.
The only redeeming quality of this place was the guy who ended up doing my set. He did it beautifully and wonderfully! He met my expectations and it’s the only reason why I put in two stars.

Manicures & pedicures aren’t something I usually do but the reviews for Essnails convinced me to try. I went to Angie for a pedicure. She was very nice, the place was very clean, friendly people, very busy! I would recommend it & will go back myself!

I love this place! I never leave unhappy! I am so happy they opened a year ago! I have been every 2 weeks for months for gel nails and pedicures. I highly recommend!

I was a walk-​in today and they were able to get me in pretty quickly. The salon is clean and the staff is friendly. Aloe spa pedicure was wonderful. Shellac manicure was done perfectly. Prices were reasonable. I will definitely go back!

The best salon in the KC metro area. Highly recommend to anyone. Great, friendly service. Always able to get in right away without an appointment. Quality of products is top notch, no lifting on my nails. Pedicure chairs are super comfy and they offer water and beverages to their clients. I’ve had my nails done for 20 years in multiple states and this one of the best salons I’ve been in.
