Midas

Terrible service, shop in poor condition. I’m pretty sure there is some shady stuff going on here. Took my car in for a wheel balance and they tell me to keep an eye on one of the tires because it was low on air. I check my air pressure regularly out of habit because I drive trucks for a living and never had an issue with the tires I had on the car. The next day I wake up to a tire completely flat sitting on the rim. Shady stuff. Never going back.

One of my headlights went out late on a Friday afternoon. After I stopped at a different shop and was told they couldn’t fix it I stopped at Midas around 5:30. The guys there were awesome! Had it fixed and out the door in about 20 minutes.

I had a horrible experience with Valvoline two doors down. Valvoline screwed up on the oil change and had to push me to Midas to get it fixed. Midas knew it was Valvoline’s fault and didn’t charge me and said they would send the bill to Valvoline. So thankful for the service! I have been another time before for a different issue and they were great then as well. I would recommend this place.

They are always friendly and treat me with respect. They are honest and dependable.

When you are new to a town there are few things you miss as much as a trusted mechanic. It seems like for every one that is honest and reliable there are dozens that just want to run up the bill with unneeded parts and labor charges.
The guys at Midas on Santa Fe in Olathe are just the kind of people I was hoping I would find after moving to Olathe.
I had tried 2 or 3 other shops (not far from them) and had some bad experiences. I don’t even recall who it was the recommended I try this Midas out, but I know I had explained my woes to someone and they suggested I give them a try.
On two occasions I was told that if I fixed X the Y and Z could wait a few months to a year before they caused me any problems. One of those occasions was after another shop tried to pressure me into fixing it all.
My wife stopped in on a weekday because a seatbelt was locked and couldn’t be retracted no matter how much she jiggled it. The shop quoted her for a replacement part which she authorized. Then a few minutes later they came back and said when the the old one was removed they were able to fix it and sent her away with no charge at all.
We have become very loyal Midas customers.
