Buyer beware of salon services. Went recently to get a my roots done from a «senior stylist» who proceeded to stain my whole forehead, side of my face and my entire neck with dye. Was in the restroom for over an hour by myself scrubbing brown/​black dye from my face and neck. The stylist never came in to offer help. I was going to walk out after I cleaned myself up but was stopped by the manager trying to peddle that this was sorta my fault for coming in and having dark hair because she’s a «senior stylist»…
Walked away shelling out $ 60 for a job I could have done better at home.
Lesson learned. #sephoragirl4life

I went to this salon yesterday and my haircut was poorly done, and unfortunately my scalp was burned due to the dye not being put on carefully and properly. I still have burning hours later. Fortunately, Jodi the manager was very kind and refunded my money due to the fact I had to wash my hair multiple times afterwards, and she even gave me complimentary products to soothe the burn on my scalp. Great service from the management. Very professional and kind.

I went into the salon yesterday to see if my hair could be fixed. I had previously gone in to a different salon and the «expert stylist» turned my hair yellow. I spoke with Jen who said she could fit me in a few hours later. I showed Jen the same photo of the color I was wanting to achieve and she had no problem lightning my hair. I am so happy with the color and cut she gave me. My husband was at work, so I had to bring my 6^th month old baby with me and all the girls were so welcoming of him and didn’t make me feel like he was a bother. Jen is an amazing colorist/​stylist and if I weren’t moving, I would definitely be a regular.
If you want great service, go see Jen!!!

I’ve been shopping at Ulta for years but this location gets a one star for their rude wait staff. My mother in law went here to get color matched for a product and instead of helping her they were rude and told her she wouldn’t be able to use it. So we went to SEPHORA where they color matched her and took the time to show her how to apply it.

I have been going to Shelby to get my hair done for a couple months now! She is fantastic! The conversation is easy and fun, the time passes by so fast! Conversation is important to me when getting your hair done since you’re sitting in the chair for so long! I will continue to go here, they are easy to schedule with and the entire staff is friendly! They also are able to help you pick the perfect hair products since they have a huge selection!

My mood level was about a 2 when I walked in and a 10 when I left. I simply asked one question about a brow product and before I knew it, I was getting a full blown makeover and I was introduced to a new brow product that I am in love with (bulletproof brows). Thank you Rochelle for taking so much time with me — I learned so much!

Melanie has done my hair several times and I always feel like a new woman afterwards! She does exactly as I requested and surpasses my expectations every time! Thank you so much for making me look and feel pretty time and time again

I’m more of a Beauty Brands girl, but haven’t really had any issues with ULTA. I do like that they have drug store products and high end makeup/​hair products as well. It is odd that they have their studio services out in the open!

I am honestly, obsessed with makeup. I like getting different colors or trying out different brands. Sephora is great, but I’m not wanting a fifteen minute drive to pick up a new concealer.
Recently, a new Ulta was opened up on 135^th and Nall which had fantastic service compared to this location. I don’t think I have ever gone into this store without someone giving me attitude.
I get it. Work sucks. We all have been there, but it is bad customer service to gripe at the customer. The last time I went in, a woman was complaining to her coworker about her boyfriend, really loud. I was across the store and could still hear her.
Good reward system, fair prices, just horrible service. Go to Sephore or the new Ulta.

This is a great place to get your cosmetics, toiletries, accessories, perfume and much more. I love that they have high end brands as well as bargain brands too.
One of my complaints is that they don’t restock as often as I’d like. They carry a lot of products, but not a quantity. I’ve gone in twice now in the past 10 days looking for a certain shade of makeup.
The first time they don’t me they’d have more in a few days. So I came back and they were still out. Plus they had no idea when they’d restock. This was a pretty common product too.
If you wear clique or other high end brands, Ulta is nice because you can get what you need without going to the mall department stores.
They do have a loyalty program that offers discounts, but often it’s not valid on about 70% of the brands they carry so that’s annoying.
For me, sometimes Ulta is a nice option and I find what I need. But about 50% of the time they are out and/​or over charging for the item. It’s certainly worth stopping by.
They also have a hair salon inside if you need a cut, style, color, etc. I’ve never used those services so I can’t review it.

I stopped in on a snowy winter evening, and had the place almost entirely to myself (which I liked, actually).
The associates were helpful without being overbearing, and when I finally did ask for their assistance, they jumped at the chance to help me. Both of the ladies made me feel welcome, and seemed to keep busy even though it was a ‘dead’ night.
I don’t expect I’ll get personalized service every time I come to the store (it can’t always be the day after a blizzard and –5 degrees out), but the selection and prices were good. I snagged a good makeup set for cheap in the after-​holiday clearance section.
This isn’t another Sephora; they also carry drugstore brands. Perhaps the selections aren’t as deep as Sephora’s, but the store is bigger and has more to choose from.

I am pleased as punch with the Salon at Ulta. Hayley and Leah are both wonderful stylists!
Ashley gives an incredible facial that is SO worth it! I highly recommend the salon!

Everyone is always so helpful and accommodating whenever I need anything. Leah in the salon does a spectacular job and is one of the sweetest girls in the store. Their point system makes it easy to get what I want and get money towards my next purchase!

I’m a HUGE fan of Ulta because as much as love splurging on high end makeup, I love that they also carry drugstore brands. Their point system is awesome! They have salon services and well, they just cannot do any wrong in my eyes.
Sometimes this locations drugstore makeup area is in absolute disarray. The majority of the people who work here are pleasant and very helpful!

One of my preferred locations to pick up a few things to freshen the old toolkit. Their sales can be hard to beat and they carry both the regular brands like L’Oreal and Revlon as well as a lot of prestige brands. Today I noticed they are even carrying «The Body Shop» products. There’s way more in here than I could ever even learn to use, and the staff is always prowling around hoping to give you ideas and tips to point you in the right direction.
Be smart and watch your prices though! And keep an eye out for coupons that come in the mail periodically!

My friend recommended this store to me. I was looking for a gift and she had a good idea. I like the store but I don’t use much of the products they offer. They have a rewards card, but most of the product to not qualify for coupons you earn. So what’s the point? They have a list up front what you can not use your rewards on. Not a good program.
I am a true Clinique girl and they just put in a location inside. I love it because it’s closer to my work and home, plus it beats going to the mall. What’s great about the Clinique store is they don’t con you or bother you to buy product because they are not on commission. Staff is very friendly here and I do recommend the store if you need beauty supplies.

Every time I walk into this store I get annoyed.
For three main reasons:
1. The employees for one are all gathered around talking and don’t help people who are clearly lost. Such as me today. When they do answer questions either they are hurried and short or there is one really nice person willing to go the extra mile but is usually busy HELPING people and I don’t have the time or patience to wait 15 minutes.
2. THEY NEVER HAVE ANYTHING, or know where their products are. How is it possible that all the Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free foundations are GONE? EVERY SINGLE COLOUR?! Are you kidding? Oh and to make it worse there is no one there for me to ask or get helped by because they are all talking. Moreover, whenever I am looking for anything in particular I check online but there is no store finder like Sephora so I have to go waste my time looking for something that PROBABLY SHOULD BE RESTOCKED BECAUSE THERE IS EVERYTHING BUT THAT PRODUCT. Yeah I’m talking about L’oreal Damage Erasing Balm.
3. Furthermore, it truly annoys me that the employees are huddled around each other gossiping when there are people walking around the store annoyed and confused.
Last but not least their consistency. I bought two Red Carpet gel nail polishes for 9.99 today and had two 3.50 off coupons which I could use. I went earlier this week and used my 3.50 off on one of the same polish which someone allowed me to do, but today I was told I couldn’t because it has to be 10.00 before tax. «Oh they shouldn’t have done it…» Seriously? Then the «manager» tries to shuck it all together for me and talk me through it, because that made me feel so much better. She didn’t even offer to hold my stuff so I could add on a dollar or a freaking cent… Let me add that one of the managers was at the register checking me out and there was no one else in line after me. Really? I came with coupons wanting to get a good discount and you didn’t even offer for me to pick something out to add onto it.
Let’s be honest, if I’m gonna get a few points for my drug store products I would rather eat broken glass than deal with the terribleness which is Ulta. Stick to Sephora, the people actually care about you instead of gossiping about you. Ridic.

I love Ulta. I have a Beauty Brands 2 seconds from my house and I will drive 15 min to this Ulta every time. They have great products, great bargains, and I love their reward program!

If you are looking for any beauty product, it’s probably going to be here. I am in makeup and beauty heaven every time I go in. If you join their rewards program, you can get good coupons and deals. There are also occasionally coupons in Sunday’s newspaper.

I can’t believe I have not written about Ulta as many times as I go in there. So, one of my weakest downfalls is shopping here… but I love it.
Walk through those glass door and you will find beauty galore. Walk to the right where you will find fragrances and the prestige products. To the left are what I would call drug store brands and in the center when you first walk in are products that they are promoting… the hot items in the flyer that week.
The greatest thing about Ulta is the staff. I think I know almost everyone that works at this location. They are super helpful and keep me up to date on what is new in the store. Who doesn’t love that? Courtney, Andrea, Sarah, Jasmine, Antonia and Hayley are gals that come to mind that will help you with your beauty needs. There are so many products in that store that everyone has a recommendation but depending on the line, they are all experts in their respective line of expertise. Just ask! That is what they are there for.
You’ll find a salon at this Ulta and if you are looking for a great stylist, visit Brazille. She is perfect addition to the salon staff. She is fun and super attentive.
They also have an estheticians on site, Anna. If you get a chance to get one of the many services, make sure you check out the glow and go. It’s a great service that involves exfoliation so your skin glows!!! It is super reasonable too.
There are many beauty product stores in the area, however, I’m guessing that you will be able to find exactly what you want. They have weekly sale coupons that you can get online and print out. Make sure you sign up for a club card when you are in. It tracks your spending and you get some great items quarterly!
For the love of BEauty… get in there!!!
