Chicken Coop

The service was horrible at the new location. What appeared to be the owner was on her phone texting for a good 20 minutes while patrons piled in. Food was a ⁶⁄₁₀.

We had gone here about three times with good service. That service quickly went downhill beginning with a long wait on our fourth visit, however, the waitress was great and explained that they were training a new cook. There was no issue at this point because she was so accommodating, even letting the kids change the tv channels to keep them occupied.
We returned for a fifth time not expecting to have yet another extremely long wait but this time the waitress was downright rude. We arrived at 7:30 pm, two adults and two children were in our party. There was only one table seated and there were very few people at the bar. The waitress took our order and didn’t return for 25 mins. After we literally hung our glasses off the table she came over for refills. Upon serving the refills I politely asked how much longer she thought it would be since we had been waiting 45 mins for three orders of wings and a cheeseburger. She said «well we have a new cook and we are slammed». I looked around thinking maybe I missed several patrons but there wasn’t anyone there besides us and the other poor souls waiting to eat. I said the kids are starving, usually you guys are so quick. She replied by telling me if I wanted quick service I should have went to McDonalds. So I took her advice and never returned.

I’ve been here a bunch of times over the last few months. The staff is very friendly and I really enjoy the wings. The speed of service has gotten much better. The parking is a little tight…

Went here on a busy Sunday evening. They seem to draw a big crowd of football (Eagles) fans. It was loud, but not overly rowdy, so we were fine with a few young kids at the table. The hostess was very pleasant and gave us plenty of crayons and coloring sheets for the kids. Our waiter was very friendly, interacted well with the kids, and brought out the kids food as soon as it was ready. Points for that. The wings were a good size, nice and crispy. Bleu cheese was good and they give you just enough celery. I was a little disappointed in the hot parmesan sauce which was different than what I’ve had at the Coop before. It was merely hot sauce dusted with grated parmesan. The mango habanero was pretty good. Food took a little while, but the place was packed. Waiter was attentive with drinks and cheque, amd checking on us. My wife got pizza which was mediocre, but you don’t really go to the Coop for pizza. Only real complaints I have are that an order of wings should be a dozen, not 10, and their draft beer selection is very limited. Parking is limited too. But overall, this was a good «family wing night».
