I have eaten at some of the finest sushi places in the country and I will put this place up against any of them! Sushi chef is amazing… Special Rainbow Roll is mind blowing as is the Vandy. So glad we have a high end sushi place in Mt Juliet!

So good!!! I never leave disappointed! My boyfriend and I have tried most local sushi spots in the mt Juliet area and this is by far our favorite! The service is always great but most importantly the sushi is wonderful! Best around. They do serve beer but also allow you to bring your own wine if you’d like.

Came in for a late dinner and had sushi, sashimi, and some crab Rangoon. Food was AWESOME! Super fresh sushi, server was friendly, owner came out to check on us and was great as well. Crab rangoons were a bit more authentic than I am used to from fast food Chinese, but we’re still delicious. They also have a wider variety of foods than I expected and I can’t wait to come back and try some more.

I love sushi and when this place first opened it was great and very reasonable. In the last 6 months the quality has diminished and the prices have gone up considerably. I don’t frequent them near as much

The service was good — quick and friendly. The nigiri was delicious. Very fresh! The yaki soba was okay — the veggies were super fresh and delicious. Overall, the dish didn’t have a lot of flavor. I would’ve liked to have more of a distinct sauce flavor.

We ordered a variety of things to try. Everything was excellent, gotta have the seared tuna!

We went for lunch today and enjoyed the teriyaki chicken fried rice, Philly rolls and bacon wrapped scallops(not on the menu, special that is offered sometimes). The service was very attentive and friendly, though we were the only patrons for half the visit. The lunch prices are very reasonable. The bacon wrapped scallops were $ 15.99. They were a nice size and came with six, cooked perfectly.

Good sushi at a good price. Great service. Not crowded as you would expect. Kid friendly also. Son had first sushi here.

The service at 2pm on a Saturday was amazing!!! Our server was attentive, made great recommendations and really made our visit great. The sushi was more than we came in expecting from a strip mall sushi place in Old Hickory, TN. The appetizer was the highlight. We had the bacon wrapped scallops– total perfection! The carrot salad sounds so simple but a refreshing, tasty addition to our meal. This place will be a repeat for us and our local friends!

Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had! The fish is so fresh, and the flavor of just everything is phenomenal. The lunch special is 7.95 for a good size salad and a roll. Can’t beat it really, and they actually give you several good dressing options(instead of the same old ginger honey thing). Will be back over and over!

I LOVED the food! I got a lunch special for $ 7.95 which included a miso soup, salad, and sushi roll. The miso soup was superb, the salad dressing was incredible-a sesame, peanutty type dressing. I could seriously just have that and be satisfied! The roll was awesome as well. Truly 5 stars for the food. Now. The service. Ugh. When we opened the door, we walked into a deserted dining room. Nobody greeted us, so we wandered around making noise till a guy told us to sit wherever we wanted. So we sit. A nice waitress came over and took our drink order and went back to retrieve it. Suddenly, a male server comes out of nowhere and starts talking about how amazing the sushi chef is. How he’s legit because he came from LA and has a catering contract with Vanderbilt. The guy tells us how this is his second job and whatever. It really felt like TMI. He also encourages us we should get several rolls and share them, which we had no intention of doing, but his«suggestion» sounded like a used car salesman trying to close a deal. When it came time to order our meal, my wife wanted the green curry chicken and I wanted the California roll. When I told him what I wanted, he looked disappointed and said, «I thought you came here for sushi.» I told him I realized that but that’s what I want. He shook his head. What the? As the customer, am I not allowed to choose what I want? My wife told him she’d like the green curry chicken. He said, «We don’t serve that.» She asked if he was joking or if he was serious, because it’s listed on the menu clear as day. He explains that yep, he’s serious because the chef doesn’t like how it turns out and so he won’t make it. Oh… kayyy? She quickly orders something else she didn’t really want. I got my meal waaaaay before hers. I added red pepper flakes to the soy sauce because I like the flavor. He asked me very judgementally if I got enough red pepper flakes. At this point, we’re both just super annoyed and if the food hadn’t been great, we would’ve left. All of this time, the original female server that got our drinks was following him around. It looked like he was trying to train her to schmooze people his way rather than her way. It was really annoying because he was utterly obnoxious and rude and she was pleasant and professional. Again– the food was excellent but the judgy, alpha-male server would cause me to just order takeout next time.

Really great roll selection. I’ve had the Chicago, Spicy Tuna, Eel & tempura shrimp rolls. If they have the ceviche app when(not if) you make it here, it’s a must try. Yummy!

We were excited to find a sushi place near us and ignored the negative reviews of the service. We showed up around 1:30 pm on Sunday and entered a deserted dining room. No guests, no host, no wait staff… nothing. We wandered over to the bar to see a gentleman who appeared to be a waiter sitting at a table, writing on a piece of paper. I cleared my throat… he continued writing. At this point I gave up, loudly exclaiming, «This place must be closed. Let’s go to Cinco.» And we did just that. Do yourself a favor: just go to Cinco.

Great little restaurant! I got a seat right away. When I went, they had a live band! Well this is Nashville isn’t it? I ordered the beef pot stickers, Crawfish roll and Crunchy Shrimp roll. All were delicious! I’m so glad to see them expanding. So happy I don’t have to go into the city to get good Sushi. Maybe they can buy the place next door and keep growing. The waitress could have been more attentive which is why I gave four stars instead of five. I had to call her a few times because she walked by me without checking in and I needed more water, then a box, then my check.

SOGOOD!!! The Hubs and I tried this place today purely off of how great the Unilocal reviews were and we were NOTDISAPPOINTED! We spent the rest of the night making the remark«That was so good!» I ordered the Alaska roll(salmon, rice and avocado) and it was probably the freshest, best sushi I’ve had in years… Generous portion too for only $ 6.50. The Hubs ordered the Soba noodles with chicken and loved it. The flavor was amazing, portion perfect and veggies fresh… All for $ 6.95 This is our new spot and I can’t wait to go back!

My fiancée and I have been going here for quite some time– but recently went since they’ve expanded and now offer beer. It looks very nice, and there is more seating, with a small bar area. The menu has expanded, and I’ve uploaded those photos to Unilocal to give an idea of new options. We tried the party boat, and it was delish. We also had an appetizer of the dancing shrimp, which was pretty good, and the edamame. As another Unilocal reviewer stated recently, the servers are hit or miss. Our server was attentive, but was not 100% familiar with everything in the menu– probably because it’s a newer menu.

This is a tiny little place, we found by accident. Yay for us! The lunch special that we had was excellent, both in value and quality. This will be my #1 place, whenever I get the sushi craving. I can’t wait to see it complete. :)

I hate to put a 1 star on a place that might really deserve more. The one time I tried this place, the service was pretty terrible, so we left before even having a chance to order. Walked in, and sat waiting for water for over 5 minutes before the wait staff would get to us to take our order… we were the only patrons in the place, so they obviously weren’t slammed or anything. It was pretty awkward. No one was even in the room to see us get up and walk out.

I just gave it a bump up. on my re-visit. They had a guy fill in and my chirishi was lacking variety and portion. but before I left the head sushi chef got there. He said let me fix you another. Wow most places would send you on your way and wouldnt care so much if you were happy. I was extremely impressed. And their fish is better than most and the chef gave me some nice thick slices. Very very impressed especially because I didnt really complain he just seen I wasnt happy and took initiative.
