I eat lunch there almost every day! The food is fresh, delicious, and sometimes unique. People are friendly and accommodating. Prices are very reasonable! Oh! Breakfast is awesome too! Seating isn’t the best but it’s ok.

Garden salads look great… but flip them over And see most of the lettuce is the rib of the romaine… probably use best of the romaine for sandwiches and get rid of ribs in salads. Brought dozen eggs back while vack. two weeks past sell by date. Lady advised younger fellow cashier«we’ll use them in the back»

Excellent breakfast sandwiches, reasonable lunch sandwiches. Unfortunately, prepared meals aren’t very flavorful or interesting. For example, the chicken pot pie has an excessive lemon tone, little chicken, but lots of carrots. Meatloaf just doesn’t have appealing flavor and has an indifferent gravy. The market itself is terrific as a result of their wide variety of gourmet brands. Wish they’d revamp the offerings.

I may have just chosen poorly, but I got a chicken mango wrap and the chicken was terribly dry while the wrap itself was soggy. The whole sandwich combo was a miss. The chicken tasted like it was simply plain unmarinated and grilled without oil. Anyone old enough to remember the fat free diet mantra of the 1980s will understand the level of dry chicken breast I refer to. This is such a cute little place I’d like to believe it was just a fluke, and not the Old Lyme WASP factor(wasps don’t eat food that has calories or flavor) but for now I need to rate this based on what I tasted and their price point puts them in a category to «deliver better.» Staff are super sweet, friendly, helpful all the good things.

My review is for their excellent catering side, though before I go into that I’ll say that I was able to visit the store once right before my «event» and it was excellent. I’m from Austin, TX, a very foodie town, and this darling little store and deli would fit right in. Teresa Coffee runs their catering business and she is AMAZING. She’s extremely down to earth, she knows the area like the back of her hand, and she executes flawlessly. I have to say I was a bit nervous a few times throughout the process of planning my wedding from across the country but Coffee’s came highly recommended by my hubby’s family(he’s born and raised in Old Lyme) so I trusted that it would all be great. She was very patient with my lack of vision and hesitations around budget and worked to create an amazing meal that every picky guest of mine raved about. She also is very sensitive and real about how expensive weddings are and will(within reason) help out with whatever she can. She literally has everything you need to have an amazing, gourmet, well-served meal and is simply lovely to work with.

The employees couldnt have been more friendly, expecially when it came to helping my girlfriend who cannot eat gluten find something she could eat. The meatball grinder was one if the best I have ever had, and the buffalo chicken salad my girlfriend got was equally as tasty. Its a little pricier than most places, but you get what you pay for and I will definitely be a repeat customer :)

Always soggy… always gross! Definitely NOT worth the trip. The quaint country market is not always the place for good food.

You can’t go wrong with Coffee’s. Also, right now(6÷5÷15) they have their Veggie Terrine available and it’s to die for.

This little gem is pricey but when you eat one of their sandwiches you’re not thinking about the money you spent you’re thinking; that was an excellent sandwich. If you have not been here and you are in the area then this is a must go to, that simple. My go to is the roast pork grinder but just about everything is good. After you place your order, go to the front left corner of the store, there is a surprisingly well stocked magazine rack there while you wait for your name to be called.

Coffees Country Market has a wide variety of foods of all types. some brands common to any grocery store but lots of specific items you probably have never heard or seen before in any store setting. the prepared food as the general food stuffs are quite pricey but the people there are always nice and helpful. The sandwiches are awesome especially the paninis imho. if you are in the area and have never been to it. I strongly suggest you go there, I think even the most picky of shoppers of food would have to say the place is special.

I can’t say enough about the wonderful job Coffee’s Country Market catering my father’s memorial service. Attentive, but not in your face.. .. appreciating the difficult role of staying in the background, but not so much so that anyone had to look for anything. service was only part of the experience. They did a wonderful set up and the food was EXCELLENT! As you can imagine, I was distracted and didn’t pay much attention to the details. They took care of everything. Thank you LIsa and all the staff both in the market and at the event!!!

I grew up with this market back in the 80’s, and my family new them well before. The location is kinda ‘out there’, so for the family to take the leap of faith and invest all they did into the new market is risky. The devoted customers know the family though which are all very nice people and the town just really needs a market like this. The town of Old Lyme has no offerings because the zoning board blocks everything, or only goes to what’s convenient for them at that moment. There should be more café’s and places to walk to in this town. Thank you Coffee’s for filling this need, and doing a good job at it. The selection here for general market items and cooking ingredients is pretty impressive for such small place. You can find some interesting sauces and condiments here. The real draw for many is the sandwiches, prepared dinners, deli, catering, and snack foods. It’s a ‘go-to’ for anyone who works locally and they have healthy options too. My favorite is the West Coast wrap. Definitely try this place.

If only every little grocery could be like Coffee’s Country Market. While spending a week in Old Lyme, we made good use of Coffee’s and all of their services. During our stay we had friends and family coming to visit on two separate days. Not wanting to spend our vacation days preparing food, we went to Coffee’s and met with Lisa to arrange food options for each gathering. The store has a very complete catering menu and they were great to work with. Lisa made suggestions and helped us pull our menu together for each event. As expected we had far too much food for each event, but guests were more than happy to take home left-overs, because everything was so good! Thank you Lisa & Coffee’s for making our experience so tasty and easy.

4.5 stars. I grew up .25 miles from here and basically came here multiple times a week for 12 years of my life, as well as before and after rowing practice. Good memories but also, good food(deli). I miss the old Coffees as the new version has a different feel to it, but still a great place to get anything you might need. Fun Note: I was the pain in the butt child who always used to charge candy to my mothers/family account. I highly doubt they still allow that, though I was a responsible young boy and always used to pay back… eventually.(This has to be back in the mid to late 90s).

I just moved here and stopped in while exploring the other day. Loved this place. The prepared foods case has a ton of variety. I ordered some chicken salad and tuna salad. Both were awesome. The fresh bread selection is vast. There’s also a bunch of deserts in a case. I had the self discipline to keep walking. I can’t wait to go back and see what else they have to offer. They have coffee and tables to chill at.

Quaint — Quaint — Quaint! As are most things in Old Lyme. I was visiting family over the winter break and we went there for some sandwiches for lunch on a friends recommendation. The place was pretty packed(for CT, that is). The staff was super helpful and friendly. The sammichies were really, really good. I ordered the meatball sub and it was pretty good — the bread was obviously fresh and squishy. There’s a variety of nummy desserts to choose from as well. I ordered a lemon bar but, alas, did not have a chance to dig in before my plane left. There’s a lot to look at in the Market– jams and munchies. There are cute little food items that you can buy and take back home if you’re a tourist(like me! Yes — I was«touring» Old Lyme) In sum, a good place for a quick breakfast or lunch!
