Old Lyme Barber Shop

I was not sure what I had gotten myself into sitting third in line for a $ 12 haircut. The other two men seemed to be regulars. The barber did not ask questions. But, when asked, he covered a wide variety of topics including local politics, local weather, medical conditions, literature, and fishing. Each haircut took less than 15 minutes. The barber only takes walk-​ins. He is no nonsense and a serious cutter of hair. Each of the guys before me and I asked for different cuts and he delivered to each person’s satisfaction. He provides a no thrill haircut, no prewash, no hair blower, no conversational intrusion, just a fast, straight forward and dry haircut. I’m from out of town and I plan to return before I leave.

I dunno if it’s because I said I was from out of town, but this guy gave me a terrible haircut. I was totally covered in hair after I left and had to have some significant repairs made when I got home. I definitely could not have gone to work or dinner straight after the cut.
