Food was good but serving me so near closing and still nice about it gets the 5 stars

Went here late at night and instead of prepared frozen food, we were treated to freshly prepared fried pickles and we saw the cook make the lobster roll fresh as well! The fried pickles were very salty but actual chips which was interesting. The BF said the roll was decent. Three stars for freshly prepared food!

I come here every single time I’m in Maine for fried dough and Oreos. I’ve never had any of their other food items, but I never miss the opportunity for fried Oreos. :)

Gross. Gross. Gross. Frozen hockey pucks sold as clam cakes thrown into an old grease pit for stewing. Throw those«crap» cakes out. Your kids would have been sick and John Taffer would«shut it down» stay away. Damn, I forget to mention the chowder we threw away. The chowder was full of goodies, but it was sitting in a sewer stew. Gross, gross, gross. My pregnant wife threw it away immediately. Scary. We should have known better. The local bar bums were ordering fried pickles. Maybe I should have drank a 30 rack of bud reds before I ate here.

Really the best fried clams near the pier. I got ½ pint fried whole clams. These clams are meatier just the right amount of coated batter. They are moist and yummy. Dewey is a bit pricier than Rick’s but quality and taste of clams are 100% better. No restaurant should ever cut cost by offering an inferior product to their customers.
