Gull Motel

Have gone back two more summers in a row… still loving it! Great for little ones — pool is heated (in case beach is too crowded, too windy, or the waterr’s too arctic).

This is a review for the Gull motel.
My fiancé and I stayed here for the second consecutive year while staying for the weekend at OOB. We really like the Gull, and find it to be excellent value. The location is ideal, right by the beach, and about a 7 min walk to «downtown». The units include a small kitchenette, with a fridge/​freezer, hot plate, sink and even dishes. There is a pool, BBQs and nice areas for sitting in the back.
The units also have small balconies in front, which we found nice for enjoying morning coffee while watching people head down to the beach.
The units are very clean, and it looked like the bathroom had recently been redone. We also found the staff to be courteous and helpful. All this for $ 75 – 80 per night!
We visit family in OOB every year, and certainly will be returning to the Gull.

My husband and I stayed at the Gull hotel a couple years ago and it was nice — I would have rated it 3 stars, just average. We stayed at the Gull inn, which is part of the Gull Motel, this past weekend and were pleasantly surprised at the difference in quality. We stayed in room number 10 and had a great view directly on the water. Our bed was incredibly comfortable. Beautiful hard wood floors and lots of nice touches (sea shell sheets, pictures, ect) We had a claw footed tub with a shower handle — please take note that if you must have a shower this is not the right choice of room for you. The tub brought me back to when I was a kid though and I found it charming. A man named Daniel welcomed us to the inn and showed us our room, very friendly staff — eager to please. There is AC in the room, which was key seeing it was 90 plus all weekend. The location of the inn is better than the motel as it is off the main street and the only noise you have at night is the ocean. Would love to come back and stay here again.
