This place is awesome! They always have deals on movies, and the movies are very cheap. At the time of this review it was my third trip. The apple pie ice cream is to die for, and the staff is always friendly! I highly recommend this place to set up a perfect movie night! Need pop corn, ice cream, or candy with your movies? No problem, they have everything you need.

We tried other ice cream shops… but this is BY FAR the best. The Giffords Ice Cream is awesome to begin with… but the people there are great at making you a fabulous ice cream treat! They’re really knowledgeable about ice cream and give a great customer experience. Ask the owner to make you a malt, and you’ll be talking about it for weeks. An Old Orchard Beach highlight.

Not only is this place amazing because it’s one of very few movie rental stores still around, but it also has amazing staff. It definitely brings back the memories of going to the video rental store with my mother as a kid. It even has the adult section behind the curtain haha. I remember as a kid I was always trying to sneak a peek under the door in hopes of getting that momentarily glimpse, but don’t worry parents no sneaking a peek at this one. They have all the new movie selections as they come out on DVD and Blu-​ray, and plenty of video games for every type of system. The most important thing to know here is do not leave the store without snagging up some delicious goodies or desserts that are homemade every day. The variation of Whoopie pies that he makes from scratch are absolutely amazing. I recommend the strawberry one without a doubt if it’s in. They also have a great Gilfords ice cream selection. All in all, you just can’t go wrong with this place.

The owner knows everyone. He greets as you come in the door! He has every title you can think of, new and old. He also has video games! And prices are cheap! To rent a movie it’s $ 1.99 and then he has this special on Mondays where it’s buy 2 get 1 free which turns to the prices being $ 1.33 for each DVD you rented. Also, EAT THE ICE CREAM SUNDAES! This place is great for kids as well. And there’s a little dining area if you feel like eating your ice cream there. :)
