Located a few blocks away from the beach, you can save yourself the overpriced low quality food on the pier and get a great meal at Tami Lyns. The pizza is great, there is a perfect amount of cheese though the sauce could use some more flavor. It was about $ 12 for a large pizza. The wait times were reasonable given it’s location. There is no parking nearby but you’ve already most likely parked and paid a ridiculous parking fee from some crackhead in a sandlot. Overall, I recommend this over the garbage on the pier.

Was visiting OOB in the off season(late Sept) and not many restaurants were open. Thanks to Unilocal,we found this place. We are there for breakfast AND went back for a later afternoon lunch. I had traditional bacon & egg breakfast, the wife had biscuits and gravy if memory serves me right, and my daughter had pancakes. For lunch, I had an outstanding lobster roll. They do not hold back on the lobster meat — served warm on a toasted bun. Tami was friendly and she seemed to have a lot of regulars pop in which is a good sign. I’ll definitely be back if we event get out to OOB again.

Ordered a turkey club and bread was burnt and black. Lobster roll was soggy. Lettuce was brown in salad. Not sure why this place is rated so high, but we were disappointed. Guy at counter was not very friendly either.

One of the best café’s in Oob! You have to try their chicken Parmesan sub! Also their lobster rolls are made to order with either melted butter or mayo on a grilled bun.

Found this AMAZING place after searching for a local lunch joint on Unilocal. We will ABSOLUTELY be back next time we travel to Maine. Not only was the food incredible, but the owners were friendly, outgoing, and knew how to make us laugh. Fabulous joint! We highly recommend the BLT’s! Actually, we highly recommend stopping in!

Food in Old Orchard Beach is different than say, food in Portland. OOB is a tourist town, and tourists are looking for quick and convenient. After a day near the water and in the sun, burgers, sandwiches, or pub food will often suffice. At least that’s my explanation for the dearth of dining options within walking distance of downtown and the pier. Most of the town’s eating options are centered in that area. There’s very little on East Grand, unless you drive down to Pine Point where there are a couple of eateries. I was intrigued by some of the reviews I’d read about Tami Lynn’s on Unilocal. From the outside, you’d think it was a local neighborhood market, which it is – sort of. But what sets Tami Lynn’s apart is the ample menu of foods prepared fresh and made to order. If you just want standard fare and convenience – you might want to go elsewhere – as it can get busy during peak season in the summer. My wife and I are aficionados of lobster rolls. We’ve tried many different types in Maine and throughout New England. The Maine-style roll usually consists of cold lobster meat. Tami Lynn’s version uses warm lobster meat, lightly dressed with mayo and on a toasted hot dog roll, with lettuce. It’s is an excellent take on the roll that Mary and I both love and can’t get enough of during the summer(or most other times of the year). Their lobster roll dinner comes with fries and cole slaw. The cole slaw was perfect. Sliced cabbage, with a hint of mayonnaise. Just the way we like it. The fries, while not hand-cut, are a quality product with the right amount of seasoning and deep fried to perfection. What was equally impressive is that owners Don Tardif and Tami Lynn Westbrook take the time to be sure their customers have a pleasant experience. Don mentioned it can get pretty crazy in the summer, but we stopped by on a slower Monday afternoon and had time to chat a bit. A nice touch was being able to order a beer(or wine) and having staff ask you if you want it kept in the cooler so it stays chilled. They carry and extensive array of both, so you should find something that goes well with whatever you are ordering. They also have non-alcoholic choices, also. The dining area inside is roomy and pleasant. I enjoyed people-watching while waiting for our meals to come out. Tamy Lyn is from North Carolina, so there’s a southern orientation to some of the choices, like grits for breakfast and sausage gravy and biscuits. Tami Lynn’s is on West Grand, slightly more than ½ mile from Palace Playland, if you were headed towards Ocean Park.

Good service and good price for simple American breakfast food. Perfect to start a day on vacation, the day before the challenge OOB half iron man… Although we were lucky to arrive early, it got rather crowded just after we finished our breakfast…

Wonderful food! Great that you can pick up a drink here from the convenience store. The owner was so nice and attentive. The owner came over and had a conversation with us. They served their lobster rolls warm with butter — oh so good!!! Their clam chowder was the best we’ve had in Maine! And what else… ice cream!!!

A hidden jewel in old orchard. Just like many of the other reviewers discovered this place by accident. The outside belies the hidden authentic charm that lies within. The people are friendly and the food outstanding and great value. The egg sandwich became a family favorite as did the chicken delux pizza. You will not be disappointed.

DON’T EATATTHEPIER! Save your self money and disappointment and come eat here! The food is real, fresh and affordable. The staff is friendly and ready to serve you! Wish I’d had found this place a long time ago, eating at the pier is extremely expensive and unsatisfying.

We loved this place. The husband told us they’d prepare Lobster any way we wanted. Tami Lynn created a Lobster BLT that was, seriously, one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. What a find.

This place is awesome! We lived in OOB and never discovered this until we came back for a vacation. Breakfast is better than any place closer to the pier, people are much friendlier and the atmosphere is relaxed. It is a combination diner, convenience store, grocery store, ice cream place so it is a bit quirky. Prices are very reasonable — breakfast sandwiches ate around $ 3.50, nothing over $ 6. Food is made to order. Order at the counter, have a seat at one of the tables and they bring it to you. Pretty extensive menu, lots of variety. Good number of people were there when we were and everyone was raving about how good the food is here. We will absolutely be back — many times!

Without a doubt best food my husband and I had to our trip to old orchard beach! We went for breakfast along with our 6 month old daughter. Our waitress was so friendly and sweet to our daughter(along with the rest of the staff, they all came over to see her!) Our breakfast was amazing. Between the service and food, this place deserves more than 5 stars! I would recommend Tami Lynn’s to anyone traveling to OOB!

We were super fortunate to have this little gem a few doors down from our apartment rental(Gull). Lobster roll was delicious as were the fried clams. Mac n cheese for the little ones is Kraft, which works for my picky eater. The interior is cozy and clean with a good vibe. Really great team of folks working/running the place too. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there.

Spent the week on Union Ave last week vacationing and couldn’t have met nicer people in Tami Lyn and Don. We were at the store everyday for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. Best breakfast potatoes on the East Coast Don !! Loaded Steak was awesome. Lobster Rolls, Clams and the Turkey Club are Maine’s finest. Thanks guys. Was fun talking during the week and getting to know you a little. Enjoy your time off this winter — you deserve it !!!
