Famous Pizza

Sometimes I love Famous Pizza… other times… I don’t.
The pizza itself is good. I really like it. Especially if you order it «well done» as a previous reviewer stated. I HATE flabby, limp pizza. If you don’t specify you want it crispy, you will get limp, flabby pizza, because apparently that is popular. Blerg. My hubby sometimes forgets to order it well done and I have to crisp it in the oven. My favorite pizza of theirs is the Menace from Venice. It has pasta on it! Carb me up, baby.
I’ve given up on ordering salads from them. The first one I had was awesome. Since then, I’ve had some issues, particularly with the freshness of the ingredients. I am not a fan of wilty lettuce and I have gotten it too many times from Famous :(
The wings are pretty good, and the garlic cheesy bread is pretty good as well. I havent tried the other menu items.
So, if you’re in the delivery radius and wanting some good pizza, go for it. It is way better than the big chain pizzas.

With work being so busy i dont get out much and i was getting tired of the usual cheese or pepperoni pizza so i was very excited when i stumbled across famous. They offer some out the box pizzas. I tried the Margherita and throughly enjoyed it, it was a little crispy but the ingredients were very fresh It also came with some Parmesan cheese and these spicy peppers that just amped up the already fresh homemade taste. She also attached some awesome coupons i cant wait to use. Do yourself a favor step outside of the box and get a little famous

I really like their Tuna and Provolone sub.

This is our second time ordering the famous pizza and the first time the pizza arrived, we couldn’t help but laugh. Hands down the largest pizza we have ever had arrive at our door. The crust is perfect and the cheese and spicy pepper sauce they give you on the side is perfection. So far this is the closest to NY pizza that we have found here that delivers to us. I only wish the online ordering link worked and the coupons and specials were up to date.

My wife brought home a large pizza half cheese, half peppers and mushrooms with a Greek salad. spectacular the salad was quite possibly the most fresh salad I’ve had in a very long time! we don’t live in the area, but if we ever are in the area we will eat here again for sure.

Not bad by Florida standards, especially if you tell them to do it «crispy» as like most places in Florida they under-​cook Pizza because the locals complain that REAL PIZZA is burnt. We end up getting this fairly regularly through events at Work because it is very close and the people who work here are very friendly and relatively fast.
In addition to the Pizza, they also make Chicken Wings which are pretty good, especially if you get the BBQ version where they use that Sweet Baby Ray’s Sauce which is really, really tasty. Overall, this is probably closer to 3 ½ Stars but I just couldn’t bring myself to give it 4 Stars… it’s hard being a transplanted New Yorker and Pizza snob… LOL

Worst pizza and breadsticks I’ve ever had. The wings weren’t good at all either. They were edible, but buried in sauce.
The pizza tasted like bad pretzels, even the side of pizza sauce was bad. The breadsticks had unmelted cheese on it and were soggy with butter, totally drenched and just gross. Any chain pizza would have been better.

We have ordered pizza from here almost every Friday night for the last few years. This week someone from the store called a couple of hours after our delivery just to make sure the quality of that night’s pizza was up to par. I was impressed by the phone call to insure our satisfaction. Our pizzas have always been cheesy, dough is perfect, toppings are generous. On rare occasion the pizza may not have as much cheese as I’d like, but it doesn’t happen often.
Friday and Saturday nights are usually a long wait for delivery (90 minutes) so get your order in early!

Ordered a slice with sausage and onions, excellent. Perfectly crispy and the cheese tasted wonderful reminded me of a New York style pizza.
The owner told me they use grande brand of cheese and it really makes a difference.

Rarely do I call to place my pizza order in 2015, but their website would not link me properly to do so online after multiple attempts.
However, it probably worked out better for me that I spoke to somebody about my order.
We wanted to try the Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Chicken Pizza and the Margherita Pizza which are both on their specialty menu.
While we would have purchased one of each, the friendly gentleman on the phone allowed us to do a half and half on one slightly larger size.
This was not only perfect for two people, but it saved us some money and from simply having more pizza than we wanted to eat.
As I received my pizza, I noticed that on Sundays they offer a free additional item with a $ 10 minimum purchase and I just mentioned that I would have to remember that for next time.
Without hesitation, the woman who was extremely busy working the phones and cash register said I could have the item on this visit and told the kitchen to prepare it as quickly as possible.
The food was good and the customer service was even better.
While I wouldn’t personally recommend dining in, Famous Pizza seems to be a very good option in the area for delivery or carryout.

Very good pizza and excellent salad. Greek salad rivals many Greek restaurants. The Mediterranean pizza is a great vegan option. A nice Change from the mundane pizza scene. Great favors.

The wednesday special is an 18in cheese pie for ten dollars. What a Deal!!! You can order it crispy if you want. It was juicy, cheesy, lots of tomato sauce. Great flavor. Its really just a take out place with a few tables. The NY Style Pizza here is really good!!!

Famous Pizza??? Worst pizza I have ever had in my life. And what makes it worst is I was craving pizza all day and decided to give this place a try since a friend of mine recommended me this place. First the dough was too thick and soggy as hell. The sauce had no flavor, the cheese was moshy like chewing bubble gum. Who ever thinks this pizza is good need slap up side the head with that pizza. I’m from NY and this is an insult to Pizza. Save your money folks.

Love these small quite mom & pop places! 18 seats available for seating inside. Place is a little on the warm side but comfortable. Pizza was far from a chain experience and very good. Ordered an 18″ pizza and chicken salad. Took approx. 10 minutes and food was done. They also have pizza by the slice available… And fresh from the oven!

This place is decent. I really am on a search to find a good non chain pizza joint that serves up a good house salad. The salad I am very happy with. The pizza however is a little hit or miss. One time I ordered it and it was amazing. I don’t remember if I was just starving or what? But we had it tonight and the pizza was just ehh! Kind of flavorless and the crust got hard. Not sure why or how their pizza can be so inconsistent but it is. I hope they can keep it together because the price point is good and it’s convenient. Also there is no flavor to the garlic knots or bread sticks whichever. Why? They look loaded with cheese and seasoning so I can’t figure out why they seem so bland. booooo!!!

The wings are to die for! Perfectly cooked with an amazing buffalo sauce. Next time I will have to try the pizza.

Decent place for a slice and better than the chain joints. Don’t expect much if you eat in. Minimal space and seating. Good take out or delivery options. Get the Gabagol.

Used to be a lot better. The place really needs to be cleaned up inside. Chicken pram sub is good. Slices at lunch are a decent deal.

The prez of the company in support of Suncoast Animal League ordered 8 pizzas for the office. 2 Veggie slices… …blessed!
