My wife and I were checking out a neighborhood near where we recently moved, and fell onto this park. This is simply a beautiful place available to anyone that needs a great view of the water, relax and unwind, take a walk, cast a line, launch a canoe, grill a burger, hold a hand, watch a bird, feel the wind… You get the drift. Just a gem! Enjoy.

Great little park in tucked away in Oldsmar on the water where you can picnic and grill out. Amazing view of the bay. Has several picnic shelters, hiking trails, a fishing pier, an observation platform, and a canoe launch. It is broken up into two areas, north and south. The south area is off Shore Drive. This is the park that has a beach, picnic shelters and restrooms. It was completely deserted(besides the park workers when I went). The beach was all mine when I went during the week in the early afternoon. The north area is off Lafayette Blvd in Oldsmar. There is a kayak launch area in this section of the park. You can kayak east in your kayak to the Upper Tampa Bay Park and can access Mullet Creek.

Évaluation du lieu : 5 Oldsmar, FL
The secret is out. Not many people know about this location since it’s at the end of Shore Drive in Oldsmar which is almost a good thing so that it doesn’t get too crowded. If you are wanting to avoid the crowd and craziness then this is the place for you. There are only three pavilions though so if you didn’t reserve in advance then get there early to save your spot. Parking is $ 5 a day. I would say this is like a smaller version of Philippe Park in Safety Harbor. There’s a small beach area where you can canoe, kayak, etc. The restrooms are clean which is a plus for me. The trees helps to keep you cooler in the shaded areas. We were in the pavilion all day and we didn’t break a sweat once. Optimum time to avoid the nasty no see-ums found abundantly in the Oldsmar area would be from 9am-5pm.
