Every time I have been to this shop I’ve been impressed with the honesty and kindness of the staff. I feel that I can trust their judgement and the work that they do and that’s so very important in a mechanic. The shop is well maintained as well. I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with Murray Motive. The staff is educated, friendly, honest and willing to work with your budget on pricing. I used them to replace a water pump on my Jeep and will be coming back for any future repairs that I need. They had me in and out the door in a couple of hours and even tested the new pump by driving the car around the block a few times to make sure it was done right. I’m always skeptical about taking my car to shops, but when dad’s not around, what’s a girl to do? This is the best and most trustworthy shop around. Won’t nickel and dime you and they get things done in a very timely manner. Highly recommended!

It was a tiring day — having to come to the airport early to pick up my Mom and looking at a couple of hours drive back to our place. However, after several hours on the road, while listening to my Mom with her usual stories, our car decided that it had enough.
After checking my phone for any nearby auto shop, I found Murray Motive and thinking that I should take the leap of faith, I decided to give this place a try. To my surprise, the manager David was eager to help us — even sending one of his crew to tow our car. Before I knew it, my car was at their workshop and their hands were on the job right away.
In the end, the problem was fixed. It took them almost 2 hours. Pretty fast I think. We came home a few hours late from our schedule but it wasn’t that bad because we didn’t have such a bad time. These guys were friendly and polite and my Mom had a great time chatting with them. Their service really went above and beyond their call of duty and that is really special. So thanks!

Murray Motive is by far the best repair shop in the bay area. All of their people are customer oriented, knowledgable, and very polite. I have been a customer for years because they’re approach is to help you extend the life of your vehicle to it’s max, instead of quick fixes.
Recently, my 98′ Dodge Ram broke down. It was on it’s last leg and the managers recommended I move on instead of investing more in to a vehicle with a short life span. They actually connected me with a customer of theirs that owned the same F-​150 for 20 years, and she was looking to sell, so I purchased that from her. It was maintained by Murray Motive for the majority of those 20 years, so it was in impeccable condition. This is the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned and I’m very grateful.

I’ve been going to Murray Motive since 2009, and just had my car in today for scheduled maintenance. With over 150,000 miles on my 2006 Honda Civic, it’s important to me that I feel that the staff really cares about the longevity of my vehicle. The shop owner Pat and all the staff greet me by name when I am in the shop, and they always review exactly what they are performing on my vehicle. I never feel like there are any surprises, as they keep up with me by email notifications with maintenance reminders and recommendations. The best!

Just picked up my car from them last week, and it’s running great. I’ve used murray motive for over 3 years now and I wouldn’t even think about going anywhere else. They’ve kept my family van on the road for years and I never have to worry about the quality of the work because it is top notch.
They’ve repaired my AC, replaced my power steering, and even done electrical. They have gone far above and beyond anything I’ve received elsewhere, so I always recommend them to my friends and family.

We have definitely over paid for service here. 600 for a checkup, 2000 for some work that should have been 1000. We’ve since moved on to a different repair shop.

Over priced. Great sales people. Gary was totally nice when it came to fix my car and once I payed it was like he didn’t know me. I spent over 3,000 there and had to bring my car back a month later for similar problem. You would think they would’ve replaced the whole engine for that kind of money. I think they work off commission there. Their work is not even that great. Wanted to charge 100 something dollars to test my a/​c. That’s just to test not to fix the problem. I took my car to Gulfport auto garage and they pin pointed it was a bad connection to the battery. I saved probably a few hundred. Never will I visit Murray Motive again.

This is the best car care you can find. Unfortunately, the price reflects that service. After going in for an $ 80.00 oil change I left with a $ 600.00 «fluid service». Follow up service was the same. If you want gold plated care care, here it is. But it is not at a fair price
