My mom and I went to this salon after she received a 20% off coupon. She was paying so I went a long with her decision. I normally go to Splendid Nails on Park Ave(they are the best around in my book). We went in for a pedicure and a full set. We entered the busy salon and were put in to two pedicure chairs in the back. They do not have many quality colors to choose from so if you’re going here I suggest you bring your own. We had three people in front of us and only two people working. We waited with our feet soaking for about 45 minutes. Needless to say, the water was very chilly at this point. My pedicure was a bit rushed, and my nails were poorly shaped. Normally my feet are extremely smooth after a pedicure, but when I returned home my fiancé kindly let me know otherwise! So, for my full set I asked for a French manicure, but I didn’t want white tips. I prefer it to be painted on. The woman doing my moms nails kept trying to talk me out of it and kept questioning why I wouldn’t go with the white tips. I had a gentleman glue on my clear tips, then the persistent woman RUSHED through my acrylic, and another older woman who spoke no English painted my nails. The white tips looked good, but upon further inspection, the quality of the acrylic was terrible. My tips have ridges in them and they are all different lengths. The edges of the acrylic started to lift up within 3 days. I am giving this place two stars because the man who did my moms pedicure was very nice to her and she liked her pedicure and full set(we have different expectations). Overall, the place is a little dirty, the work is very low quality, and even with a coupon(which automatically makes me question a place) it wasn’t worth the 20% savings. Also, a pet peeve of mine — I don’t like when the employees have entire 30 minute conversations with each other in Vietnamese. It’s rude and unprofessional. Maybe if they paid more attention to their customers, their work would be better.

I’m writing this review in hopes that the owner reads and views this as constructive possibly utilizes this to improve his salon. When I first called about making an appt for a fill and pedicure, he told me that they don’t make appointments because it’s too busy on Saturdays and to just come in. Because I was staying so close by while visiting from California, I just blew it off and decided to go anyway thinking it was very strange they would not dedicate specific time to their clients. By not booking appointments it told me that the client’s time spent in the salon was of minimal value. When people use their weekend to search for goods and services they don’t necessary need but are willing to pay for, their time is valuable and most likely they need to know when they can get in and get out so they can schedule their day. After I arrived, I was put in a pedicure chair in the back with 6 other women. A lady come back to do pedicures asking, «Who’s next?». It was then, while my feet were already soaking, did I realize there were only 2 people doing pedicures and 5 people ahead of me. I thought to myself, «Thank God I don’t have any other plans today, I am going to be here a while.» I stayed anyway but watched closely as the chaos unfolded. The lady who did my nails was rough and in a rush, obviously because she had no allocation of time to help me, she had to hurry and get on to the next person. After she was done, I was rushed over to get my fill done on my nails. While my nails were filed down, the acrylic that was lifting around my cuticles was not filed down or cut away with the file, just thinned out and filled over. So, you can see a line fill line. It isn’t good however I’m far away from home and needed a fill so whatever. It will do for now but the second I get back to California I’m having my nails completely redone, correctly. My advise dear salon owner, don’t be greedy about how many clients you can squeeze into your salon in a day. Instead focus on a steady pace of quality services rendered all day long so your customers feel pampered, not rushed through like cattle.
