Just had breakfast here. They were pretty busy but we didn’t have to wait for anything. They brought our drinks out right away and took our order. That was served quickly and everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. Staff was very friendly. Will definitely be back again

We called just a few minutes ago to see what time they closed and the lady told us 2pm. We arrived there with hungry bellies ready to spend a lot of money at 1:30pm. Just as we were getting out of the car a lady came out and told us that they were closed that they just«turned out the light». We told her about them saying that they didn’t close until 2 and she said no we’re closed. We LOVE Hazel’s especially on a Saturday morning but after that we won’t be back. Very disappointing.

I hate to give a poor review to a local business, but this place is truly bad. This restaurant’s only saving grace is the excellent service. The servers and owners are very kind, which makes this even harder: I have been here on multiple occasions with family, and Hazel’s unfortunately disappoints time after time. Everything is fried in the same grease, so whatever you eat ends up tasting like catfish. Fried chicken should never taste like fish. Never. If you do end up going, for whatever reason, hope against all hope that spaghetti is one of the specials. It tastes like the spaghetti you get on a cafeteria tray in elementary school, which will give you a welcome dose of nostalgia in an otherwise unsuccessful environment. Everything else you order is worse than cafeteria food. Sorry, Hazel: this just ain’t cuttin’ it.

I have mixed feelings about Hazel’s. I would give them five stars for breakfast. You can get two eggs, biscuits & gravy, and a generous helping of crispy bacon for under $ 5, and add a double stack of delicious pancakes for $ 2.50. They are very strict about the 10:45am weekday breakfast cutoff though! The servers are nice. The restaurant caters to an aging clientele. On two occasions we have been subjected to loud, offensive opinions voiced by folks who perhaps didn’t realize that the entire restaurant could hear. Dinner is hit-and-miss. The burgers, green beans, rolls, mashed potatoes, and potato salad are good. Friends say that the fried chicken and fried chicken livers are good as well. I cannot recommend the beef liver, the dressing, salad, or spaghetti.

Pretty good meat and three. Friendly service. Good catfish and hamburger steak. Reasonable prices with 10% discount for seniors. Free drink with special.

WOW! If you read the negative comments, you’d be inclined not to go. Ignore them. The place is very nice, very comfortable. The food is good, prepared well and portions are adequate. The staff is very friendly. Fried chicken night on Wednesday = a good suggestion. After reading the negative reviews, I thought to myself, «How could it be so bad?» I was curious. Glad I went inside and had a nice dinner! Also to meet a «local», Mr. Paul, who dines there regularly and makes guests feel at home.

Went there for lunch and won’t go back again. Cheesesteak sandwich sodden with grease and the fries weren’t crispy. The fried chicken liver was overdone and greasy while the cucumber and tomato cold salad was creamy Italian dressing brimming in a bowl with a few cucumbers floating in it. I originally wanted soup and was told since it was Saturday they don’t have soup. The server was friendly. There were a lot of directions given out loud to the servers and I felt like we were intruding. Never going back. Our meal was 30 and we way over paid for the quality.

Do you like your food warmed from a can… frozen then reheated and slopped up with some cold gravy… or battered and deep fried? If so, Hazels is the place for you., because those are your only options. All served up by unfriendly waitresses with a side of Fox News. Who could ask for more?

This was a suggestion from the airport to eat here. Big Mistake. The staff seemed frinedly on the phone, but not too responsive once we got there. The food was initially cooked incorectly but was fixed. Overall the experience was lousy, I wont be back.

Once was enough. Service was terrible!!! There was only us & one other couple! Waitress acted like we were bothering her! Food was just ok, nothing I couldn’t make better at home. We won’t be back. :(

Hazel’s has good food and a friendly staff. It is a great place to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner.
