My wife and I agreed to try Tuscany one more time. Third time wasn’t a charm and neither was the fourth. We had to move to another booth because our first booth had a roach crawling up from under the table. We didn’t make a big commotion about it and we quietly moved. Onto drinks: My wife ordered a Cosmo and it wasn’t even made correctly. She had to take it back to the bar and request ingredients to mix it better herself. Onto the food: The bread was good. The bread has always been good, in fact that was the only redeeming quality of the dinner overall. I had the Land & Sea(steak with two«jumbo» shrimp). The steak was cooked okay but wasn’t seasoned much, if any. The shrimp had no flavor. The Italian spinach was mediocre at best. My wife had the filet mignon and asked for a side of pasta: Italian spinach was brought to her so she had to wait for the correct side. The noodles were overcooked and were soft and gummy. The filet, similar to my meal, was cooked okay but didn’t have much flavor either. We also heard the people at the table behind us complaining about their food and that they had to wait an hour for it. The people at the table behind them got up and left because the service was so bad. We got some desserts to go: tiramisu and limoncello cake. The tiramisu wasn’t bad, but the limoncello cake was dry. I’ve had better cakes from the bakery at Kroger. Like other reviewers have said, I want local places to succeed in a town that is dominated by chain restaurants, but something has to be done. The service and quality of food is very inconsistent(and not reflective of what makes local restaurants normally stand out from chains) and I just don’t have it in me to give Tuscany another chance.

Classic and authentic Tuscan kitchen. Had the pleasure of having lunch there today and was impressed by the atmosphere, service, and of course the great food. Wonderful addition to the blocked up scene of Southhaven chain restaurants. Operated by an amazing group of true local philanthrops. A gem to go visit.

Completely amazing experience! The staff and owner are so friendly. The food was to die for. I had the ribeye and Italian potatoes. He had the Tuscany. Both were cooked to perfection. The bread is a dreamy experience all of its own! Highly recommend.

Second visit to Tuscany and it may just be my last. We went in Tuscany Wednesday evening and they were totally overwhelmed for dinner service. Our group waited 10 minutes to even be acknowledged and timing never improved. Oddest thing the kitchen ran out of Manicotti so they brought Cannelloni without even asking. We had been seated for over an hour at that point so we wouldn’t dare ask for something else. Two hour total experience for dinner. As the check was arriving for dinner our waitress apologized for everything being a wreck. They told us they had a party of 25 in the other room and had several of their staff call out. I understand things happen in any business but there are better, more respectful ways to respond. Honestly just tell me when we walk in the door and we will just go somewhere else. As it was handled I’m not sure we will be back.

We are from out of town so I’m not sure if we are just used to better food and service. The drinks, salads, and bread are awesome. The wine bottle was not opened properly so some of the metal shavings made it into our glasses. The veal was so over cooked it was nearly burnt. The pasta was also over cooked to the point it was yummy. The wait staff was nice but extremely soft spoken and hovered by the table so much it was a bit creepy. I would not return or suggest them to anyone else. Olive Garden would be better than here and I can barely call that place Italian. Forgot to mention that the Caprese salad was made with provolone not mozzarella. Also they use an iPad to pay but they stay and hover while you use it.

We were really looking forward to our second visit to Tuscany. Our first visit was during the end of the summer. We were the only diners in the restaurant at 7:00PM on a Saturday, which concerned us about the longevity. To our surprise, the restaurant was fully booked when we arrived this past Saturday and there was a wait for a table. We were excited to try the amazing bread and homemade pasta from a non-chain restaurant. Unfortunately, we never got the chance. After the extremely rude hostess agreed to seat us, we waited 30 minutes for a server to acknowledge us. The horrendous service just continued to deteriorate as we listened to all the tables around us complaining and sending their food back. We waited one hour and 20 minutes after ordering food and finally just asked for the check, paid for our drinks and left. Not ready for prime time, especially at these prices in OB.

I believe in «if you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything»! I’m sorry I just don’t have anything good to say. I have been there twice, first time was so-so, today(second time) was terrible. The service was lacking, the selection of items all seemed warmed over and not very tasteful. The place definitely did not seem to be ready for prime time. Hopefully this was a bad day, but I really don’t think I can try it again for a very, very, very long time.

The description of the chicken parm didn’t say watery, limp, soft, greasy, or un-breaded… Anywhere on there… If you enjoy limp noodles and no flavor with watery chicken … This is for you … And I never ask ever for military discounts … But if I had wanted to… It would not have mattered… The manager is just glued to her laptop

The Caesar dressing was the best I have ever had. All of their dressings are made in house as was everything. Fried mozzarella were divine. The bread they serve is amazing! I had the low carb valley chicken and it was fantastic. We will be back again very soon

Dined twice & both times were amazing. Bread is unbelievable. Italian dressing on the salad is so good u want to drink what’s left. I got the Chicken Parm twice & it was the best I’ve ever had. Very reasonable price & personable staff. Thanks, guys! Keep up the good work. I will definitley be back.

What I’ve been blown away by is how everything has been done to perfection. Not over cooked, not overly breaded, ample sized portions, the shrimp were huge, the bread was to die for and everything is made from scratch, including the pasta and they use local produce. Not only is the food amazing but the prices are either average or on the low side. I’m used to dining at restaurants like this when in Vegas or other conference/vacation hot spots and paying a good bit more. So in comparison, this place is cheap but more importantly it’s every bit as good as any place I’ve been to in this category. One of the guys in my party is a real«foody» having been to hundreds of the finest restaurants. Even he agreed that for the price and the category it receives top marks. My party of 4 had a long conversation with the owner where she announced they would soon offer $ 7.99 lunch options which include drink. If I remember correctly there is one daily special at that price each week day then on Saturday all 5 specials from the prior week are offered. You cant hardly get out of fast food place for that.(That’s not offered yet and please forgive me if I misquoted anything) Charlie was our waiter both times and he was perfect. Just the right amount of friendly, talkative and informative without overdoing it. And I love that they take your order on ipad which goes straight to the chef’s screen and you pay at the table through the ipad. Very convenient and quick. Several reviews have been very critical over the taste but I think its because they ordered the lowest priced options and were underwhelmed. But I don’t think its fair to judge something based on its lowest priced product. Everything we ordered was more pricey but was absolutely amazing. But then again even the past side with marinara was absolutely mouth watering because everything is from scratch. If this place doesn’t make it then shame on us for not supporting it. We need to support our local mom and pop restaurants and this is one I hope to be dining at for many years.

Great Restaurant! I had the strip steak special with the Italian Spinach and it was fantastic. It came with mushrooms in a butter garlic sauce to die for. Steak was cooked perfect and we took home deserts and they were awesome as well. The bread was really good too! I’m so glad there’s a good non chain restaurant here.

The atmosphere is lovely and our waitress was amazing. The food was disgusting with tons of raw garlic in the fettuccine Alfredo. I sent it back but still got charged for it. The restaurant did work hard to get us out in time for a movie. Maybe the food suffered for it?(We allotted 1 hour 20 minutes to eat.) I won’t be back to try again. Overpriced and poorly made.

Salad and bread pretty good. Both of us had ribeye. One was pretty good, but overly greasy. Other had a taste of ‘pam spray’ it seemed and not very good. Service not the best, but not terrible. Restaurant was a ghost town on a Sunday night at 7:00. Last impression of the evening was waitress bringing a couple of boxes and handing the bill on a tablet. We are not against technology by any means, but instead of staring at me waiting to punch in a tip, perhaps put our food in the box for us? Even chains like Olive Garden do this and leaving a tip feels a bit more personal to reflect the service received for me personally. In the end I feel like we overpaid and over tipped for a very average meal. We don’t plan to return.

I was far disappointed with all the hype of this place. For one this is no where near fine dining. Service was so so slow for not having more than two tables with customers. They were offering food/wine that they did not even have in stock. They still do not have a liquor license. The Cesar dressing was good but way way way to much for the 2 romaine leave«salad». Chicken parm and pasta were dry and flavorless. This place was way over priced and we won’t be going back.

This was just awful. The noodles in my pasta were so overcooked they were all one big gelatinis blob of mush. ¼ of the way into the meal I realized the chicken skewers were raw on the end… Disappointed. The lasagna was sweet yet bland. Salad was ok but over priced. Literally a whole romaine leaf with cheese on it. Even after all that I was charged for drinks and salad. No revisit unless I see changes.

Hoping for a good Italian restaurant in this area, we tried Tuscany last Saturday night. I have posted a review on their fb page but wanted to post here too. The post has vanished from fb but it won’t vanish from Unilocal.I gave them 2 stars because the bread was good and the salad was not offensive. The lasagna(which should be a no brainer) was mediocre at best. I ordered cannoli for dessert. The chef has decided that traditional cannoli needed a re-boot. For $ 7, I got a flat, fried, inedible pastry with a grainy creamy«something» smeared on top. I sent the dish back after I had to request a steak knife to cut the overcooked, reimagined cannoli dish. I was charged for the dessert inspite of not being able to eat it. I am not sure I will go back. I don’t see a reason to give them a second chance.

It’s all a little strange. We’ve been twice. I’m desperate for non-chain restaurants in OB, so I REALLY want Tuscany to be successful. But I’m skeptical. I give the food mixed marks. On the first visit, I had an excellent steak topped with goat cheese. Perfectly prepared. Tonight’s visit was lasagna… mushy lasagna. The sauce, pasta, meat, and cheese were just mush. There’s no nice was to put it. It WAS tasty, but was almost like eating pudding. I agree with other reviews that they are over-priced. I have no problem with $ 17 lasagna. But when the server tells you«it’s our easiest dish» your only thought will be… «Because you’ve got a pan of it made up and all that’s left to do it re-heat it.» Does that really entice you to pay $ 17 for mushy lasagna? Service is the biggest issue. The server on our first visit didn’t have a clue what was going on. When asked what she’d recommend, she replied«everything is good.» Hmmm. She also seem scattered because she had 6 tables(5 four-tops and a party of 12) to take care of, since she seemed to be the only server there. That’s a management issue, and not her fault. Tonight’s server was MUCH more with-it, but still had issues. In addition to the«easy lasagna» comment, for dessert we were offered«panna cotta leftover from Valentine’s Day»(which was 4 days ago). I TOTALLY understand that restaurants don’t make things fresh everyday, but you don’t have to TELL the customers… especially if you advertise how everything is made«in-house.» It might made in-house… but(thanks to my server), I have to wonder WHEN it was made. The salads are good… but again, overpriced. Same for the antipasto plate, which is priced per person. The bread is VERY tasty… and greasy. Then there is the fumbling with the computer to find out which tables are available in an empty restaurant. Then there is the whole iPad payment issue. I love how Chili’s does it: tablet at your table, pay whenever you want. At Tuscany, your server brings you the tablet, then HOVERS while waiting for you to pay… and leave your tip. It’s an odd situation. Again, it’s not the server’s fault… but they are placed in an awkward situation. The whole feeling is just a big strange. Seems they are trying for polished service, but are off the mark. I’m hoping they get the bumps worked out, because I really want a nice non-chain place in OB. I’m just not sure(yet) if this is going to be that place.

Good stuff. Homemade pasta and sauce. The wait staff and chef are very kind and accommodating. I had brunch and thought overall the selections were good. Yay for prime rib! For this region it’s a nice change from the typical fair.
