Walmart Supercenter

It is so unusual seeing empty shelf space at Walmart — except for this one in Olive Branch, MS. For example for the last month no white Arbor Mist wine but empty space. Apparently the managers at this store doesn’t notice or care — it has been over a month.

This store has the most disrespectful, unethical employees I have ever met. As a manager of a store I sat in Walmart along with three other people for a price that was marked incorrectly. Me along with the other three customers asked for a manager and it took them over 30 minutes and the cops being called by one of the employees before the manager would make an appearance. Cops were called because someone cursed. Really, all that; all we wanted was a manager to speak with. This Walmart has had multiple occupancies with price issues that corporate has been made aware of. Nothing seems to change and the customers are left being treated poorly. One of the employees literally laughed in my face and another csm put her hands in my face. Talk about taste and tactful employees; this store has neither of the two. Thought you were going to make a point by calling Olive Branch police department. Come on even the officer laughed at the ridiculousness of the call. Officers have better things to do than to worry about your price mess up.

There is a Target, Kroger, Home Goods, Michael’s, Lowes, Home Depot, Piggly Wiggly, CVS and two Walgreens plus many other super-​store alternatives in Olive Branch so I don’t find myself in Wal-​Mart often, but every now and then I forget my past experiences here and think it will be convenient to pop in for some odd thing or another.
Just after Christmas I had to help my mother-​in-​law with an exchange which ended up being a return for cash and repurchase in a different line. Whatever — it worked out.
Another visit in search of a particular baby toy I wanted to replace ended with the greeter chasing me through the parking lot to my car because I had been too distracted by the screaming baby in my arms to show him my receipt. I kid you not; it was ridiculous. It’s worth noting I had appropriately purchased each item and had nothing that was not bagged.
So, on the most recent trip, I had my receipt ready from cashier to car (and no crying children) but no one asked for it — more than that, the door alarm sounded so I stopped and looked around at all the other customers and the employee sweeping the floor until she finally said something along the lines of «it does that all the time; I just clean the floors»
Right … So service, if it can be called that, is infuriating; the parking lot, or access to it, is always a nightmare; and the cleanliness, or lack there of, is questionable at best.
Really, there are far better shopping options in Olive Branch.

Definitely the best Wal-​mart in the area. They stay stocked throughout the day, the employees are always walking around attending to something, they keep the bathrooms and store floors clean, and they are in conveniently placed next to a Buffalo Wild Wings.
I’ve been to the Southaven location a couple times before and now I just don’t. It feels unclean and cluttered. The one in Hernando is good, but I prefer the floor layout of the one in Olive Branch better (probably just because I’m used to it).
Out of all the Wal-​marts I’ve been to across the south (including locations in Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, and I think Florida), the Olive Branch is definitely on the top of the list.

(This will be a biased review as ive worked for walmart for many years now lol) SInce ive transferred from up north to work at this particular store i made sure i went to see the other local stores. The only one i would say even comes close is the hernando store. Southhaven is rather messy and out of stock but i think that largely has to do with memphis being so close. But this store ive seen alot of good customer service going on while ive walked thru before i start my supervisor positon here and i am pleased that i will be a part of this team.
