Came here for a scheduled happy hour for my graduate school program. The place is dimly lit, the atmosphere is very pub-y, and the staff was super accommodating when I requested reservations earlier that day for our large party(15 – 20 people). Our tables were already set up when we arrived. The happy hour special was decent, and the appetizers everyone had were really good. I really liked the fried pickles(and I’m super picky about fried pickles!). Our waitress was also a graduate student at another local school, in a similar program, and stayed to talk with us a while about our shared interests. It was really nice of her! We’ll surely be back for another happy hour in the future.

We have become regulars at this awesome local pub. The food is fantastic; the servers are always friendly and efficient; and the fun patio is perfect during the summer. I order the Reuben and fries almost every time and have never been disappointed. The fish and chips, potato skins, and buffalo chicken sandwich are delicious as well. Plus they always have a large selection of great beers on tap to wash it down. And there are plenty of screens if you’re looking for a good place to catch a game. I would definitely recommend to someone looking for good food and drinks without all the unnecessary frills/hype.

Love Fallon’s. Even after eating there 3+ times a week for 2 ½ years, I don’t get sick of it. Try a house salad with chicken, toss in the buffalo sauce. The buffalo chicken sandwich with pepper jack is amazing. Wings are A+. Great atmosphere, have some amazing bartenders and servers that really do go the extra mile. Their seasonal drink menus rock. My favorite part? Shocktop pretzel wheat on draft! With 13 other great beers on draft.

Excellent patio seating. I had the veggie wrap in an attempt to be heathy and it was very tasty. Especially the horseradish. Good service and pleasant atmosphere.

Not a bad place, but not great either. Ordered the app sampler, Ruben with coleslaw. Tha app sampler was good. The buffalo sauce in the chicken was GREAT! The coleslaw was not a typical slaw. It’s more of just a salad that’s been finely chopped and soaked in vinegar. Not a winner for me. The Ruben was very dry and needed way more sauerkraut and thousand island dressing. The ratio of meat to wet ingredients was just off. Also the female singer thay had had was ok, just WAY too loud for that small of a place.

Amazing food!!! Came here a few weeks ago and everything tasted great! The homemade chips were a little on the well done side but seriously nothing that was totally awful! The Reuben salad looked and tasted fantastic and my French dip HITTHESPOT!!! Will definitely come back!!!

This bar & grill is one of my go-to places in the neighborhood. Great ambience — not too stuffy, not too hipster, not too hoosier. Nice selection of beers, including Guinness on draft. Very good food, although I am not a fan of their fish & chips. Their smoked salmon appetizers are phenomenal — almost as good as what I’ve had in Ireland! The best thing about Fallon’s(beside the Guinness, of course)??? The service! We have NEVER had bad service there and we have been many times — sometimes just me and my husband, sometimes with a small group and several times with a large group of extended family. Always have had excellent service! One of my favorite local restaurants!

Chris, I would say re. trivia expertise any TV shows from the 60s thru the mid-90s. Everything on network TV is now pretty much unwatchable. But I DO know my HBO!

Really loved the onion rings and will have to come back for more! They are the best I’ve found in St. Louis so far. Like I noticed someone else mention, I ordered a medium well burger and but the whole table commented on how red it was in the middle. It was a big burger, so I just ate around that part. The patio is really nice, but we are going to eat inside next time… or bring citronella:) The staff is friendly and they have a large drink menu.

Last chance. 2nd time I’ve ordered a bison burger medium well and both times it’s been mid-rare! If I wanted it bright pink in the middle, I would order it that way! A little pink I can handle but not the entire inside! Gross. It was carry out so I couldn’t take it back. Take some lessons on how to cook a burger properly, please. I appreciate that they have bison since many places don’t have the option. What’s the point if you can’t eat it?

First time coming here yesterday– was very packed. Took twenty minutes to get our first round of drinks and even then the bartender Lexie made a comment about me wanting a margarita. Second round of drinks took two minutes so I don’t get it. Service was okay, our waiter didn’t introduce himself so I can’t tell you his name. Loved the nachos though! But by the time I got a fork like I asked for the nachos were gone and my hands were covered in cheese. French dip was okay, but I wasn’t too happy about my $ 2 up charge for 4 onion rings. When I mentioned I only got four our server said they count them by weight? But still four onion rings come on. I might try this place again on a less crowded night.

This place is ok for drinks if you live right down the street and don’t feel like traveling far. The interior looks like a typical irish pub with nothing out of the ordinary to look at. Don’t ever order their chili if it’s on the menu. It tastes like someone scraped the black char from their grill and stewed it in beans with way too much chili powder.

To the right of SugarFire BBQ is a good restaurant that gets overshadowed by the greatness of its neighbor. Thanks to Taste Cards I saved $ 10 off of $ 30 and got to experience some of the greatness of Fallon’s Bar & Grill. Keep in mind Bar & Grill is in their name, so the food is typical bar fare. Being a big eater, I found the portions to be hearty. So hearty, that we needed to go boxes. I also found the staff to be extremely friendly. Almost every server who passed our table, said some type of greeting/comment. I think they were all on some type of happy pills. We started out with one of my favorite appetizers, Fried Pickles. Some Unilocalers have proclaimed me the King of Fried Pickles, for my love of this weird treat. Fallon’s presented a fairly good pickle. I liked the light breading on the dill pickle chips and the Spicy Ranch Dressing for dipping. These pickles are worthy of being added to my prestigious Fried Pickle List. My entrée was Fish & Chips, which is Guinness battered Cod and house-made Tarter Sauce, served with coleslaw and a choice of fries or house-made chips. I was not impressed with the fish, I’ve had better at Captain D’s and Long John Silvers. However, the chips are as good as those you’d get at some of the local Irish Pubs. Also, I am not a fan of Tartar Sauce, but I tried theirs and was impressed. It has me reconsidering my dislike of tartar sauce. The Cole Slaw was also a winner, a shame the fish was such a disappointment. The star of the meal definitely was the Shepherds Pie enjoyed by dining partner. They claim it is a family recipe straight from Ireland. I do not know who I have to sleep with to get this family recipe, but I am willing to do it. Yes, it is that good. It was a huge serving of Baked Mashed Potatoes, seasoned ground lamb and ground beef, Guinness Gravy, Peas and Cheddar Cheese. I want to make this at home on a cold winter day, it is a great comfort food. I plan to return and enjoy a serving of this dish on my own.

2 friends and I stopped in here on a Saturday for lunch. It was a seat yourself type of deal. The service seemed a bit slow however I think there was only one waitress here and one bartended. The food was good, I would put it on par with hot shots, maybe a little bit better. I would think about coming back but I would most likely go to SugarFire instead… sorry.

I have been here a few times, and this place just always seems to just miss the mark. I’m not sure how they do it. This particular time the food was bland, small portioned for the price and the staff was preoccupied. The sandwich I ordered was just«blah». No excitement and it felt«phoned in». No refill on my drink and I was almost insulted by the portion size. I left hungry and ended up eating again when I got home. My wife was very disappointed with her meal. She does NOT recommend the poor-boy sandwich. It was bland and they forgot the signature sauce. It was a very slow day when we were there, and I just think everyone was too lax to focus on the customers. Maybe next time.

I really hope to visit here again and order something different and have a chance to bump it up a star. I really love the patio out front and the water fountain feature. We did not sit there this evening as it was just too hot. We got waited on quickly and our waitress was pleasant. I was thankful they were able to accommodate my desire for the gnocchi with the Alfredo sauce… HOWEVER — -i have never in my life been served a grey/brown gnocchi — they looked like big portabella mushrooms… it was visually disgusting and not what gnocchi should be… they deserved a one star… the sauce was really delicious and my husband got the fish and chips… fish was good — chips needed flavor or sauce… I will more than likely go here again but seriously — I am not certain if they just didn’t peel the russet potato before trying to turn it into these magnificent notorious dumplings or what… but they were grey and heavy… bleechhhhkkkk…I just couldn’t eat that much of it… One other thing that bothered us this evening is there was a dude sitting smack dab in the middle of the room with a backpack and not eating or drinking he didn’t seem to blend in he was a little shady looking… two different shady looking characters came in to «chat» with him and none of them ordered any food or drink… it was like some street person using the bar to conduct his own business… Weird…

I hope you don’t head to Sugarfire and mistakenly walk into the place next door. It will make you sad. Generic bar and grill meh-ness. You can almost guess the menu before you walk in. burgers, club, wrap, pizza, zzzzzzz The server was nice and did a fine job, but this place needs a cook who knows how to, maybe, use a salt shaker. We had a club sandwich, buffalo wrap and kid’s chicken bites. For a side we had the onion rings, which were actually pretty good, although they were undeseasoned. The club was a tumbling mess and the wrap was small and although it looked like it had some buffalo seasoning, I couldn’t tase it. The chicken bites were not seasoned and were way overcooked. Just very disappointing and in need of an overhaul. The waitress said they were in the process of changing the menu, so there may be hope. Still, if the chef can’t fry chicken, they might need some new people to go with the new menu. Might have been one star except the servers were nice and hustled. Applebee’s would be a better bet, sorry.
