What did the snail say when he rode on the turtle’s back? Weeeeeee.
On a serious note, based on my experience, this place usually very slow and disorganized. I know that life is about the journey but sometimes you just need to get to your destination ASAP. The lines were long and credit cards were not accepted, however, now credit cards are accepted with convenience fee.

It just so happens that the Creve Coeur License Office told me about this location. We all know how crazy the last weekend and few days of the month at the DMV can be. Creve Coeur was closing but told me this location was open until 1 PM… Great! Thing was I couldn’t find it on Unilocal and it was hard to find on the Internet. I had no idea that up 40% of the States motor vehicle and drivers license offices were contracted and run by Limited Liability Corporations («LLC’s). The Olivette License Office’s contract was just awarded in 2009 so this is one of the newer locations.
License Offices/DMV’s have an immediate negative connotation yet everything was totally different at this location and to say I was shocked would be an understatement. This place is a well-​kept secret because when I walked in I was the only one there on the last Saturday of the month! I was in and out of this bad boy in 15 minutes; which is much better than the 2+ hours I’ve had to wait in other local offices or even out of state! I brought a book to help pass the time and didn’t even need it.
Each person I met here was friendly, professional and two gentlemen gave me ultra helpful tips. The Associate checking me out was concerned that he might charge my card twice, so straightaway he went and got a Manager and she walked him through the rest of the process. Just him being concerned he might overcharge me was very considerate and I appreciated it. Unlike many other locations this is one of a handful that is open until 1 PM on Saturdays. They are also open late in the evenings, which is advantageous.
I know we all like to go somewhere close but close isn’t always best (this is central and not far from anywhere in the Metro area (10 mins from 270 Olive exit & 7 mins from 170 Olive exit). This License Office is in the same strip mall as Tuesday Mornings, Party City and cattycorner to the US Post Office & Shane Co. across the street. I highly recommend this License Office. It was nice and clean on the inside the Associates were cheerful, helpful and you’ll get your business attended to with a smile. Good luck and happy DMV’ing!
