We love this place! We were disappointed by the poor quality of most furniture out there and the expense of real wood furniture. Joe selects really lovely mahogany furniture, most of it from the early 20^th century, and he makes sure it’s cleaned up and ready for your home. We’ve purchased almost all our furniture from him, and I really enjoy each piece. His specialty is dining room furniture, but he also has bedroom furniture, desks, coffee tables, cabinets, and so on. If there’s something you’re looking for, Joe will also keep an eye out for you and call you when he finds something you might like. He’s also willing to do layaway, so if you want to buy something and don’t need it right away, you can just make payments.
This is definitely a different shopping experience than a lot of places — Joe likes to make a deal, so bargaining and going back and forth is part of the game. And he also likes to chat — sometimes we just go in there to see what new stuff he has and shoot the bull for a while. Much more personal than your furniture stores down on Rockville Pike or whatever!
