For several years, I would come here at least once a week for a quick grocery run. The prices and selection were always generally pretty good. Although there was a slightly older male cashier who was particularly unpleasant(borderline nasty), the other cashiers were both quick and friendly.

Shoppers-Olney is a great place to shop for grocery needs at great value. Bright, clean, well organized store with helpful staff. They carry many national brand labels, a wide range of ethnic products, and healthy/organic choices. I once inquired about gumbo filet seasoning which the didn’t carry but when I went back 2 weeks later it was on the shelf! This is listening to customers. The only things needing more attention are consistently fresh green produce and better quality fresh seafood selections. Noted this store is a stark contrast to the Glenmont and Rockville locations which I completely avoid.

I come here for my weekly grocery trips. The prices are reasonable and they have great deals/coupons. The produce section isn’t the greatest if you get there after 11am on Sundays. I find the staff to be friendly and quite entertaining.

I agree with Ben S. This Olney store is like night and day compared to Glenmont. At least at Olney the cashiers greet you with basic eye contact. Maybe I’m so used to the Glenmont this one, in Olney rates higher. Still not as nice as other grocery stores but, that is the reason for the discount. i’m not paying for customer service at SFW.

Shoppers in Olney, visually, is more appealing than the one in Glenmont Plaza, in that the Glenmont store looks dirty and unkempt, but this one at least looks clean. However, the product is frequently out of stock, or present but in questionable condition. Went for eggs one time, and couldn’t find a single carton where all of the eggs were intact. Ended up having to go to Giant to get my eggs, which honestly is where I probably should have gone grocery shopping in the first place. With Shoppers, they advertise lower prices, but the prices aren’t any better than at Giant, and the service is horrible.
