Archibald Sisters

I have been coming to Archibalds since China Rain was the most popular thing to give for 7^th grade birthday parties.
I love browsing as they have very unique and awesome items to give and get for yourself.
The few times I have had to return something, it has been easy and hassle-​free.
Prices are on the high side for a gift shop but again, they have unique items.
I adore their lotions but wish they still had testers for their lotion as it is really hard to smell from the bottles of oil. I love that they are willing to make personalized labels. These make amazing gifts.
Love this local little gift shop and will continue to frequent.

Awesome place to find a unique gift. I did a bunch of my Christmas shopping here. Their lotions are really nice and being able to have them make it on the fly adds a personal touch.

Yeah, it’s obviously a riff on Archie McPhee’s and it’s not like they’re trying to hide it. But this is a decidedly Oly-​centric version, and I love it. A little bit of everything. Great gifts for out of towners (try their realistic slugs) and things everyday locals will love, from girly items such as scented lotions things that sparkle, to geek items like bacon flavored… everything and Doctor Who toys (which will endear them to me forever).
Some of the greatest courting gifts my now husband ever bought me came from here. Guys… are you listening?

LOVE Archibald sisters and their lotion collection. I like to buy the mini 2oz lotions and pair them with something, because they make perfect gifts and all my friends/​family have always loved them. Their scents smell so rich, not too strong or perfum-​y. They have cute cards too that are nice to browse, I’d pick up a few if there’s a sale. All around I adore this little gem, a local business done right.

A little bummed I fell like there isn’t as much funky cool stuff as in the past. I don’t go in much anymore because I used to find lots more gifts than now.
With that said, the lotions and perfumes are a fun gift and «Oly girl» is a smell to try. A cool place for people passing through to come in for goofy gag gifts/​cards/​perfume/​. the store theme has a sense of humor.
Also, the employees I’ve seen the past few years don’t really acknowledge or offer assistance. They just stare as you walk by

My first time visit today and I’ll be back. Nice selection of essential oils and lotions. Staff was friendly.

This is such an interesting little shop with a lot of random knick knacks…
They also have a section in the back where you can make your own lotions by mixing your own scents.

So I looking for some postcards to start my newest hobby and asked on social media where anyone thought I could find some. Unanimously people said Archibald Sisters.
When I entered, I kind of got the vibe of a Spencer’s (without the black lights and strobes) mixed with Archie McPhee. It’s on a much smaller scale though & was just random enough that I kind of knew I was going to find what I was looking for.
There was all the usually novelty items dealing with drugs, alcohol, sex, getting old, Olympia, old classics, kitsch, and things you forgot to pick up on your way out of a tourist shop or gift shop.
Then there is a big section at the back where they make custom made toiletries. I think that is where the money is. If you can think of a scent, they probably have it and in just about any size you need. Fairly inexpensive but just not my taste.
I did find some postcards. Not a big selection though, so I got just the few that were left and went to Compass Rose down the street which had more to offer.
This place is cute and quirky and what you’d expect to find in downtown Oly. A perfect fixture of Oly culture.

I love this store. As a native Olympian I look past the higher prices and notice what is important-​funky selection and yummy smelling lotions. Today the service was lacking. GET OFF YOUR PHONE! I’m coming back, of course, because there are some things you just can’t get elsewhere. However, I’d love to see the management implement a ‘no phones on the sales floor policy’. You will find a special gift for anyone on your list and you’ll be hit with the BEST smelling downtown store when you pull the door pen.

I love, love, love, love, love this store. Did I mention that I love it? I don’t know who the Archibald Sisters are, but I imagine that their house looks like PeeWee’s Playhouse and they do bathsalts for breakfast because this store is amazing.
If you need to buy a cool gift for someone who is awesome, then go here. If you want tourist shit that isn’t so touristy, go here. They have stuff for every price point. Totally worth a stop in if you are in the area.

This place is awesome. It is like Archie McPhee’s kid sister with a ton of soap and concoctions.
They have just about every scent that you can imagine. Want to smell like a pear? Done. How about fresh rain? Done.
The have the typical tourist stuff and then off the wall stuff and it is a whole lot of awesome rolled into this store.
I live far from it but I will make it a point to stop every time I am on the way down to the coast!

Archibald sisters is pretty awesome. I love their novelty items and soaps. I wish I could afford more of their items because they have some really cool stuff!

Not being a cosmetics counter visitor, I surprised myself by actually visiting their cosmetics counter here. Very helpful staff. Pretty sure this is also a secret clubhouse for all of the lesbians in Olympia. Their Canyon fragrance on my man smells just like Opium por homme, before the change. And it was only like $ 10.
They’re like Spencer’s, if Spencer’s was run by all boys and demons and Archibald Sisters was run by all girls and unicorns.

I’ve been shopping at Archibald’s for ages. I think since the mid 80’s. It’s the first place I go to for cards, love the lotions, and enjoy checking out the new stuff in stock. Excellent place to find a gift for that person that’s impossible to shop for. Absolutely worth a visit!

Archibald SIsters is the only place I can find my favorite grapefruit scented cologne! They have every wonderful scent ever invented and others besides! Archibalds is the best place to find someone a funny gift or wise-​ass greeting card and they also carry a huge selection of gourmet soap and jewelry. I have to stop there every time I’m downtown.

The create your own scent area is amazing if a little overwhelming. Ask for help and you’ll get it! I even got a custom art piece on the font of my perfume bottle by the friendly perfume mixer.
The rest of the store is an amalgam of crazy gift ideas and beautiful objects. I found most of my stocking-​stuffers here this year.

Cool store with great items… love this place

This is a super-​fun gift shop! Every time someone comes to visit from out of town I bring them here as part of the «grand tour of Olympia.» We love laughing at all of the funny magnets, toys, and greeting cards, and oogling the awesome selection of jewelry. Also, it’s the only place I know of to get Olympia t-​shirts, shot glasses, and other touristy-​things.
Also, for years «my scent» has been an Archibald Sisters original scent – Olympia Rain. I love that I can get not only my perfume, but matching body wash and lotion as well.

I have been shopping at Archibald Sisters for over fifteen years. It just keeps getting better. This is the best store to get off the wall gifts for friends and relatives. This was the only store I found a cow clock with a moving tongue! I bought it the second I saw it and gave it to my mother on her birthday. She had it until it broke during a move.
Archibald Sisters is one of the MUST SEE stores in downtown Olympia. It’s fun, is a great place to find fun stuff, and the customer service is phenomenal.

Oh Archibald’s. I loved you when I was in middle school and I still love you now. It was always a big deal coming here, because we TOOK THE BUS… back when it was like 10c (I’m totally dating myself here). But you got here and the store is all girly with chocolate, yummy smells, toys, etc. More specifically, they sell jewelry, hippy stuff (candles, incense, charms), also have a section of sexy joke toys (a la Spencer’s), and a unique card section.
But what I think they are known for, is their body collection of lotions, shampoo/​conditioner, body wash. They have their signature scents (Oly Rain, anyone?) but you can also CUSTOMIZE and get your own scent. They also carried glitter lotion long before Twilight, and long before being glittery was kind of cheesy (maybe it’s always been cheesy and I had young and crappy taste).
We always go here when we visit Oly. We just gotta.
