Benny’s Florist

I was from out of town, looked them up on Unilocal,two hours before a wedding needing two dozen roses just the peddles. They worked hard to help me out and the price was reasonable as well. Great job Benny’s… Thank you!

If there was an options for a negative star, I would’ve chosen it for this review. I have ordered flowers off of FTD and other online flower sites for many years — not having a single delivery issue. This year I decided to order flowers to be delivered to my mother 4 days before her birthday from Benny’s Florist in Chehalis. I received a call from the florist at 3 pm the day of delivery while I was at work and tried to return it, but they couldn’t hear me and I could hear them. I called twice after I left work; however, there wasn’t an answer or an answering machine. Suffice to say, I called my mother and she had received other packages that day, but not the flowers I ordered.
I called the next day, first thing in the morning, but didn’t get an answer. Finally I called in the middle of the day again and reached a gal, who said she was the owner. She argued with me about the directions to my mom’s house and finally said they had gone to her house, but there was no answer. I asked if they would be able to leave them on the porch, but she stated they don’t do that.
Finally she agreed to give me a refund and didn’t offer an apology or anything for not following through with the order I had placed.
I would not recommend this place of business to anyone that I know or even anyone that I don’t know.

I have used this florist 3 times over the past few years. Each time I use them I tell myself to remember not to use them again, and then I use them again and am disappointed. I guarantee the last time I used Bennys will truly be my last time.
The older woman who works there is very crotchety and short with customers. I felt she was very abrupt and cold with me and I was just trying to make small talk. For being a local business you would think she would appreciate the business instead of people using the internet, wal-​mart, safeway etc to get the flowers cheaper.
AND the flowers. Meh. I have ordered three times and each time the flowers are chintzy and sparse. No real bright colors as advertised on their website.
AND they are very expensive.
I love to shop locally but I cant do it anymore if it means going to Benny’s. I have heard great things about Forever Greens in Centralia and will try them next time.
