wasn’t sure where to put this but since there are so many foodies and cooks here i thought a few would like to know about Kramer knives.
this is a custom knife maker and journeyman. if you ever thought about buying a expensive wustchof of henkel you really need to consider a kramer custom. they start at about 200 dollars for a 8 in chef and go up from there with custom inlays and handles. last i heard there is a 2 year wait for a custom but he does have some of his basic ones in stock ready to buy. and by basic i mean wicked sweet bad ass.
when he was in Seattle i used him for all my sharpening needs but now that he is in Olympia he has trained a local guy and his web site is on Kramer’s. if this guy is as good as Kramer and iam sure he is the knives come back with the most amazing edge i have ever seen. i know some cooks who don’t like it since they are scary sharp! I’m sure you could lop off a finger with out feeling it.
oh and if you are looking for Damascus steel he makes that too.
