Fit4Mom of Greater Olympia – Stroller Strides

I joined Stroller Strides back in January 2013 when my baby was 6 months old. I was a new mom and going out of the house with my little one was a really big deal for me, and wasn’t quite comfortable with leaving her with childcare (flu season and all.) I was so excited when I first heard about Stroller Strides and as soon as I stepped foot into my first class I was in love. Getting a tough workout without having to leave my baby with someone else was a dream come true, in addition to the fact that it was the first time in six months that I had an adult conversation.
It is for every mom at every fitness level, but don’t be fooled this isn’t just a walk in the park. It is non-​stop cardio and strength training. Over the nine months that I have been with Stroller Strides my fitness has improved so much, I can really see and feel a difference in my body. It’s not about just losing weight, but it’s about exercising, feeling good, and being healthy both mind and body.
If you are wanting to try a class, but worried about how your child will handle it then don’t worry. This class incorporates songs and games for the kids to keep them entertained. To be honest sometimes even that doesn’t work and the kids will still get fussy, it’s ok. We’re all moms and we all understand that kids will have their good days and their bad days. Trust me though, for the most part your kids will love it. It’s a chance for them to cheer you on while you workout, not to mention all the other kids they get to play with after class.

Stroller Strides of Lacey/​Olympia is amazing! You meet so many wonderful moms. I love the workouts! The personal trainers are awesome and I leave everyday feeling great. A bonus for my kiddos too! They get a built in play date every time we go. I highly recommend trying it out! Your first class is always free. Classes are 6 days a week and they meet indoors when the weather is cooler and outside on nice days. They also have tons of meetups to build a great network of moms outside of class too. If you want to get in shape and meet great people this is it!
